Yes, a career is not made in a day. Brett Favre has had awful games and guys like Fitzpatrick have looked like Marino for a single game. Hes a rookie, it happens sometimes.

If I am McDermott, you stick with Peterman. You already made the move and made your bed and you might as well see what you have. Yes, Peterman had an awful day. Rookie QB in his first NFL game that had a fluke Int in the first drive and then tried to keep forcing the ball from that point on. Give him some more reps and see if you can work on his aggressiveness. Take your extreme, the QB who won't take risk or the QB who takes too much.

Peterman. You already threw Tyrod out and you want to be decisive with the decision. Besides, the season is likely finished now anyways.

the running QB in college is what happened to the NFL.

At least we are going to rid ourselves if lots of fans when this Tebowmania... I mean Tyrodmania moves on to a new place. Another mediocre player with a shockingly devout group of fans considering the talent level.

I suspect the WR and Offensive line are thrilled with the change in style and McCoy has the potential to get going again if other teams find themselves no longer able to stack the box. As you said they like Tyrod as a person but better individual performance = money down the road for them so if Peterman makes them play better he will suddenly be very well liked.

People dwell way to much on where people used to think and not what is the case now. Does Manning or Rodgers suddenly have different careers if they are both in the 7th round by the same teams?

By what I saw on Sunday, how some players speak and with McDermott yesterday I really get the sense that they (especially McDermott) probably think they have stumbled upon a gem and is playing down the expectations.
