Bills miss out on London games for '18-'19 season
cba fan replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I am not trying to be disrespectful of your opinion, however, I feel you are going the wrong way on this debate though. We don't care if European fans enjoy NFL. We don't care if they don't enjoy NFL. To ea his own. Americans are kind of that way. Free to chose what you like and go for it. I do not believe Americans feel all self righteous over monopolizing and understanding NFL. Anyone can study it and in a few short hours and a few games watched can understand it just fine. I will never fall into that age old liberal trap that we are all the big bad Americans with no empathy. Not buying that for a second. OK I am off my soap box now...sorry to derail your thread. -

Fair enough, however, you should not then have made a click baited inaccurate thread title that implies it happened after 'The Game" when everyone will read that as being after "the game" that Bills just played. -

and then also use the 85K that show up in London for their designated 8th home game as part of their avg to show that are not that far away from other NFL team avgs. -

Just because Americans could good give a rats ass about how other countries feel about American Football does not make us isolationists. Are Europeans isolationists because they continue to try and force feed soccer down Americans throats, via some assorted individual billionaires who love soccor, when Americans have clearly and strongly demonstrated they don't like it? -

Why are you posting something that happened 2 years ago after Eagles game? -
Yes that is correct. Bills screwed up. Of course we don't know where Sammy was in his recovery at the time the option needed to be exercised so can not fault them if they had questions if he was ever coming back again. In hindsight a clear mistake. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/agents-take-11-players-who-are-best-candidates-to-receive-franchise-tag-in-2018/ transition tag would be approx. 2.5 mill less per yr. If I was Rams I would transition him. Let him and his agent do all the leg work on getting his current market value. Match whatever tender is submitted by another team and if the price is too high as the new offer will be trying to poison-pill the Rams cap by front loading a sign bonus etc etc., possibly eat the expected sign bonus/cap hit and trade him if return is high enough. Of course if the sign bonus is crazy this could backfire and Rams would not be able to match and lose an asset. Someday some team will get their **** together and target the guy and get the results that can make a difference on the team win loss column better than using him as a decoy. 16 mill per year is way too much to pay a decoy. But if Rams find value in that so be it. Bills can jump on the talent they will nedd to cut then to fit him under cap. Personally I would take a guy like M Goodwin and send him deep post and deep crossing routes to be my decoy for far less than Sammy would cost.

This is embarrasing for NFL to not include Tre in their ROY consideration, however,........this is awesome for Bills. Tre plays with another chip on his shoulders and it might keep his value down when his contract is up. Remember Reuben Brown and John Fina always getting picked for Pro Bowl based on reputation.........and resulting in driving up their contract demands much higher than their actual talent level. I wonder if Tolberts salary demands will skyrocket now that he has been named to Pro Powl.??

Yes Bruce was held a lot but I would not say noticeably more than Hughes. -

PS on Hughes potential trade. He is only guy who gets consistent pressure on QB. He does not finish with a sack too much but this is not all his fault. I have watched every Bills player play that position since 1973 and I can say with all my experience I have never seen a guy get held as much as Hughes. He must be good if most OL need to hold him to slow him down. -

That would be just great. Make KC better two different ways with one trade. What is this obsession with Bills FO trying to get KC to the Super Bowl? -

All Pro LT comeback player of the year and future HOF'r ironman 16 game player. Meanwhile Buffalo will be sitting on a 5th round draft choice for 2019 that they will use to trade up for a WR that will drop more passes than he catches and Beanes kids will be giving him a hard time on texts. -

Hey! That is great news. Can't wait. So is it hard dome, retractable, or open air, or undecided, yet. Cobblestone, Perry Projects, next to water west of Cobblestone? or all those empty areas west of Perry Projects? or other? If in Cobblestone is the casino relocating? What happened to East of Buffalo? And where was that going to be?? -

No. That's not the case. Total is about 18 mill. http://www.spotrac.com/nfl/buffalo-bills/tyrod-taylor-7899/ -

No. Bridgewater and TT are same cost. TT is approx. 9.36 mill for Bills to keep him next year. Due to dead cap of 8.64 that stays if cut/traded. Both of these would be very low on choices for next year. Bridgewater and Bradford are too big of injury risk. -
Thompson running free.. thanks Romo!!!

What?? Keenum is not going to be signed to a 17 or 18 mill per yr contract by Detroit to b/u Stafford. Are these talking heads in concussion protocol??? -

Are we watching the same game? Sammy was mugged on his route 2x on that 4th down and clearly should have been a hold early and a PI late. He played the other long ball perfect. Had his chance and it went through his arms. Only losers (or Patriots play come back and run into defender to draw a foul when they still have a chance to make the catch outright. You can never predict a ref call like Bills receivers getting mugged in NE when Rex coached his last year) The hate for Sammy runs deep in some and makes no sense. I hope Bills reach out and see if he wants to come back. For the millionth time. Virtually everyone thought EJ was that guy and just needed a #1 WR weapon to help jumpstart a great era. It was worth a shot at that time. History of course was not kind to anyone who thought that way. Anyone who says otherwise is a 20/20 hindsight type. -

You and others siding with the call on the field and inconclusive here are missing the point. Riveron has been overturning this call all season long. Why does he stop now?
