  1. I used to do that occasionally on the BBMB, but here... I'm pretty sure he wants to keep you around for chuckles.
  2. Don't ask for guarantees. And don't look to be saved in any one thing, person, machine, or library. Do your own bit of saving, and if you drown, at least die knowing you were heading for shore. ~Ray Bradbury
  3. Cooter gets screwed. Well yeah...
  4. The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of acceptable opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum. That gives people the sense that there's free thinking going on, while all the time the presuppositions of the system are being reinforced by the limits put on the range of the debate. ~Noam Chomsky
  5. That "goal" reminded me of the "no goal" immediately... we got ripped off this evening. Did you watch the game?
  6. His knee/leg moved forward towards the net. ***** Toronto.
  7. Dammit
  8. Well *****... that one I thought would hold as a non goal.

Gabriel back on the road with a new album. https://petergabriel.com/news/i-o-the-tour-north-american-shows-announced/
  10. Well we got a goal so that's a start... seems like they'll be hard to come by this game.
  11. These aren't overdoses... it's flat out poisoning... and it's flat out stupid for people to go messing with this stuff. Whatever happened to the days of going to the park, smoking a doob, and throwing the frisbee? Or going on a hike somewhere pretty. People used to have fun with a little enhancement but in the last few decades they are using stuff to basically hide.
  12. Tied after 1... 0-0. Was hoping we could get one in on the 4 on 4 but no dice.
  13. It's on here but not on TV...
  14. Here we go... hope we make a statement win.
  15. 1 in 5 women? That's a lot. There is a difference between a legitimate mental health issue and everyday life obstacles.
  16. What ever happened to having a backbone... bunch of softies nowadays. https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2023/03/06/women-seeking-mental-health-help-post-pandemic
  17. It sucks to lose any musician but personally, I hope I never hear sweet home alabama or freebird ever again. Same goes with a lot of songs by a lot of bands.
  18. That's a pretty good question. "They" are still scheduled to play down here next Sunday: https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2023/03/06/lynyrd-skynyrd-concert-at-florida-strawberry-fest-to-go-on So many bands have evolved through time... Skynyrd, Allmans, Dead, on and on. I think with some bands though it's just time to retire the name. I saw Badfinger in the late 80's at Tierra Verde and it was... Joey Molland. I knew what it was and it was a great show for sure but Badfinger was a reach. Kim Simmonds passed away last year and I hope to God that the Savoy Brown name is retired... really don't want someone who played drums on 3 songs of 1 album trying to cash in with that name. King Crimson is an oddity, as long as Fripp is around it seems and sounds legit although that band has fractured many many times. Tull... if/when Anderson passes away that has to be it. Zappa plays Zappa is a cover band for the most part, at least there is a Zappa running things. Could go on and on with examples...
  19. You left out reel to reel's and 4-tracks...
  20. Skynyrd is officially over... rip. https://www.rollingstone.com/music/music-country/gary-rossington-lynyrd-skynyrd-dead-1209960/?fbclid=IwAR00MHpWSbp2ICdAKNiewwI-18nqvuZSf7epPM0i4F96i-1_dxDO0mbUFnM
  21. Tampa got absolutely destroyed today... game was on TNT. Makes me smile... https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2023/03/06/carolina-hurricanes-rout-lightning-6-0
  22. This is random for sure. Probably 35 years ago I bought a Holland signed official document at an estate sale. It is framed and measures around 20" tall and 15" wide and has to do with the citrus growers association of Florida at that time. Also signed by the deputy of the state or whatever it was called back then. Paid $5.00 for it... it was somehow in a magazine rack full of old magazines, just kind of stuck in the middle. Official state seal, etc. Have been considering putting it up for auction. Given that he was governor for such a short time I wonder how many signed documents are still out there. Anyways, he's made the news again... and this lady sobbing made me laugh a bit... so dramatic, and anyone with a computer/chromebook/etc. can now be considered a "researcher". https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/news/2023/03/05/lakeland-mom-says-school-in-in-her-community-is-named-after-a-former-racist-florida-politician
  23. This is one of the headlines down here: Jon Cooper benches offensive stars as Lightning’s skid continues Steven Stamkos, Brayden Point and Nikita Kucherov sit out the entire third period after poor defensive play against the Sabres.
