  1. Help from my friends has to be his best imo. Octopus's garden as a then 9 year old was pretty neat for a bit.
  2. Small tropical storm is now a low, looks like Texas is getting some serious rainfall.
  3. Cause of death: https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/ric-ocaseks-cause-of-death-sweet-final-drawing-revealed-212049609.html
  4. A Beatles fountain?
  5. Panorama was underrated imo... a fine Cars Lp. Rip
  6. Have 3 copies of MMT and 4 copies of SPLHCB in mono... way different listen than the stereo versions. I really need to unload some of these, getting too old to stash things away. I have always liked the mono versions of most any late 60's group... Cream, BB&THC, etc. Actually found Spirit's 1st lp in mono once.
  7. Is this cut and pasted without any kind of reference?
  8. https://www.baynews9.com/fl/tampa/weather/2019/09/12/tropics-potential-tropical-cyclone-forms--could-follow-dorian-s-path "We expect it to move northwestward slowly the next couple of days, which could bring it close to the east coast of Florida this weekend. After that is where the models diverge, with some of them taking it north while others just drift it across the state. If it drifts across the state it will stay weak, but if it drifts north and stays over the Atlantic it will likely strengthen." Updates to the models and forecast are in post #1.
  9. Not gonna lie, I put one on once a year... different channel down here though... in memory of my grandfather. Shouldn't you be watching reruns of the Red Green show? Get off my Welk!
  10. Add a little Cash in there, Lynn Anderson, and the Association's greatest hits... still like this band though... and yep, that what was found in the consoles. Don't forget Marvin Hamlish either, the entertainer made my grandfather seem like he heard it for the first time every time.
  11. "She was three months pregnant" Couldn't find that album eh?
  12. "The # 1 pop album of 1965. This song (along with Lollipops & Roses) was used as the theme song for the television show "The Dating Game". Whipped Cream & Other Delights sold over 6 million copies in the United States and the album cover alone is considered a classic pop culture icon. It featured model Dolores Erickson wearing chiffon and shaving cream. She was three months pregnant."
  13. Now no soup for you, lol. Yeah, they had playboy and penthouse right at the front counter of the drugstores back then. She looks nice for 82... and no I would not. Album cover then was like the Farrah poster of later years.
  14. No whipped cream for you!
  15. One of the best covers of all time imo: http://coolalbumreview.com/?p=32426&fbclid=IwAR39B0Ay3Qt2MfrT54lRXb8noxQTzS6lHLqxMRad9wjEZhMnXzXB6N8JOZI
  16. Wow. One heck of a read sir, thanks.
  17. A unique view of the last time they ever played together:
  18. Like I said in the OP, Charlie Freak had "some" love in it. Sorta. I had countdown and logic backwards in the first post... even knowing my mind still goes that way lol. I guess because countdown seems a bit more advanced than logic imo. King of the world for example.
  19. Charlie Freak might have been the only song they wrote that showed some sort of empathy... Strange but incredibly talented two they were. I remember selling a CD of "Live at the Record Plant 1974" 15 years ago for $140... originals are rare as I'm sure it's been copied all over the place. Here we hear it on youtube:
  20. I think this guy got his album sequence mixed up a bit but a rather fair assessment of these two. Sad that Becker is no long with us.
  21. A taste of Honey does the same here from the first VeeJay Lp: Guess VeeJay is off the map on youtube lol.
