11/21 Colts at Bills, Postgame Postmortem Thread
Patrick Duffy replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Also difficult to hold the ball long enough for a deeper play to develop when the Oline is getting ripped apart too. Whatever the case, imo you take any points you can get to close out the half knowing you get ball back after -
Well as for "right now" I'm not sure there is much you can do. But would have tried to do something to help the interior OL before trade deadline along with exploring what possibilities if any I could do to upgrade RB. I think I'd start there myself...

Yeah that one hurt. I felt it was before that though after Bills scored making it 14-7 and Bills D if not for the roughing passer penalty, would have had Colts stopped for what would have been a 3 and out with the momentum shift.

What players are true draft busts under Beane?
Patrick Duffy replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
By the way, what point does most define "bust" to be? Like what round? imo to be considered an actual "bust", is rounds 1-3 and sometimes 3rd round is "iffy" depending on circumstances... Saw someone posted J. Fromm is a bust and I don't get that one. A 5th round "see what happens" pick can't be a bust imo. Just a lucky pick if you hit, otherwise not really expecting much. -

Just to refer to the 3 you listed..... Ford is a definite disappointment so I agree 100%... H.Phillips- Not sure yet, although has not been as expected or hoped for, but not ready to call him a bust yet. Moss- Another one that is hard for me. The RB's are kinda hard to call due to how the Oline struggles so much. I will say though that he is not reliable catching the ball. Kinda seems slow at times hitting a hole when on the rare chance it's there though. I think he can be better but whatever the case need improvement at RB either way. But don't want to call him a bust just yet. -
Week 12: Bills at Saints on Thanksgiving

Lol, that's the Billsy way so they say.....also just to add, of Kamara is able to play, then unfortunately it's a good chance that Bills do get ran all over again -
What was the Defensive Strategy?
Patrick Duffy replied to st pete gogolak's topic in The Stadium Wall
Looked like same strategy as against Tenn and Henry. And got same results -
I don't know about anyone else, but it sure kinda looked like they did at a certain point. I couldn't watch anymore myself. Believe it was not long into 3rd qter I changed it. Could easily tell how the rest of the story was going to play out. It's been a while since I was disappointed this much in this team as yesterday. Hell I wasn't as frustrated when we lost to Jags as I was yesterday, speaking for myself anyways.... Last time I was this disappointed was Josh's rookie season with the pathetic, yet laughable WR's he had to work with that couldn't catch a cold.

Well it's a little bit of many things imo. First injuries/ covid list players missing, which is biggest factor in OL being so bad. Also, Bills have a hard time with teams that feature top RB;s it seems (Henry, Taylor) which falls on DL and maybe the scheme for those types of RB's/offenses. Add in Bills have no run game and opponents know this and have 0 respect for it. Sprinkle in Daboll's questionable play calling at times along with a few bad decisions by Josh, those things can be a reason I would think

Wonder if they once again decide to trot out same OL as yesterday and Jags game? I mean there's got to be something that can be changed around if just even 1 single replacement -

Well tbh, considering the injuries and whatnot, I expected more from Bills and had the feeling it would be a tough game along with knowing Colts and F. Reich were going to have that extra oooommmmmpppphhh and ready for this 2nd chance at Bills after the close playoff loss last season. Even knew it was a good chance Bills would lose especially considering the injuries/covid players that was out. But damn, was 100% caught off guard with that kind of performance. -

Man, I'm still really frustrated with that thick, heavy yet healthy, and creamy dropping of manbearpig ***** that was left on the field yesterday! I mean I don't have an issue with losing, although obviously all are disappointing, but it's how they lost. Even with the injuries on OL I expected more out of the Offense than that. Dline and Defense in general for that matter just fell off a cliff...So much for the best D in the league talk. Idk, no clue what to expect going forward lol. Very disappointed and really surprised for that matter with everything they showed from top to bottom. -

Damn this is hard to watch -
So if you believe the OL wasn't good in the Tenn game, do you think they would have been better if Brown was not playing then? Fact is Brown makes this OL better, otherwise they wouldn't be still starting him. To me it's obvious he makes this OL better so not sure what you're seeing, so we will just agree to disagree
