Or autism spectrum disorder as it’s now called. As more time passes I’m a little more comfortable talking about it. Will try and not make this too much a LAMP post but thanks to all here who have listened to me through the years…. you know who you are Ill leave it as while I’m often nostalgic for a lot of stuff in the past, this condition was never really properly understood when I was a kid. Could have saved me lots of grief but that is what that is. If you have a child who displays symptoms my advise is still pay whatever money it is to get the best and most thorough evaluations done. It could go unnoticed otherwise

I did not but the whole thing sounded very cool. First one I believe since 1994 I was in Cincinnati not that long ago. Looking for something to do for a few hours the Reds have a museum by their stadium. I did not expect a lot at all but was very impressed by it. Would recommend to all baseball fans. But yeah point is it’s real good to see the team embracing it’s history more and more. Like other clubs seem to do

Catching up on reading these posts. Good call on splitting the series Gugs. I'm pretty much as cynical as it comes to the Mets in more ways than one. I still question whether Cohen will be a good owner. But the team imo certainly earned the right to give them the benefit of the doubt to still win the division. I have full confidence the team will pull it out. Besides as you said the September schedule doesn't seem that hard. Maybe this little stretch can be a wake up call. My only little concern right now is Lindor in the big spot. But perhaps I'm just disappointed at Tuesday's finish

The Best “One Year Wonders” in Bills History
Another Fan replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah the OP mentioned CJ Spiller in 2012 and I agree. But I have a story about that season and how I thought he would be the long term RB answer. Right after the Giants won the SuperBowl through work I got a Victor Cruz Super Bowl jersey. Being I wasn't a Giants fan it was something per say I'd appreciate. So I had a Giants fan as a friend and I made a deal with him if he bought me a Bills jersey I'd give him the Cruz jersey. So yeah being I thought CJ would be in Buffalo for years afterward producing constant 1,000 yrd rushing seasons I picked him. Moral of the story: if you're into buying jerseys make sure its someone whose already accomplished a lot -
90s era New York Knicks Docuseries coming...
Another Fan replied to BillsPride12's topic in Off the Wall
Didn't Thurman make a comment on Four Falls when he got drafted by the Bills he thought one of the perks of playing in Buffalo was Knicks tickets 😅🤣 A Knicks fan here from 90-91 season to 97-98 season. 90-91 is when I started watching basketball and 97-98 is when I started high school. Toward the end of that run is when I started to kinda understand what the real world was in life and sports. That along with other factors kinda diminished my interest in basketball over the years. It might be work a check out. But as of the moment not feeling it. Not so much because the team didn't win or cause of Spike Lee but yeah I still think fondly of those players. Don't know how much I need to know about their lives. Social media/sports media in general since then made sports jump the shark to me since that time. -
I think it's perfectly fine more often not to root for more than one team in a sport. Example of reasons: You move to a new city You discover a new city you really love and want to see its sports teams do well There's players on the team you have followed since college and before On the team you root for there are guys with horrible character On the team you love management is inept and doesn't care about the fans I mean its not like cheating on your partner. That being said jumping on a teams bandwagon is weak as hell. example: "Warriors fans"

I remember thinking Tyrod throw the ball quite a bit while watching him! That being said he worked hard with what he had to work with. Was brought onto the team as an afterthought in 2015 but made the Pro Bowl a year later I think. I know the Pro Bowl is a joke but it's still something for his resume. 5 years later overall my view of him is positive

Most dramatic sports moment you saw?
Another Fan replied to Miyagi-Do Karate's topic in Off the Wall
I went through a period I was interested in tennis. This was probably the best match I ever watched. 1996 US Open. Sampras was rated number #1 but was pushed to his limits by Alex Correjta. 5th set, 6-6 tiebreaker he started throwing up on the court but still managed to get the win. I was rooting for Alex watching this just because he was the underdog but appreciate Pete's effort to pull it out. -
I remember reading Kosar's Learning to Scramble book years back. He addressed Martin and Incognito in it. Pretty much he felt in any other walk or aspect of life his full sympathy would be with Martin. But in the NFL it's kind of its own beast and he thought Richie was just trying to "toughen him" up so to speak. I think there's something too that. I don't actually think Richie disliked him per say. That's just him expressing himself in his way. Not that I particularly like the Richie approach just sayin'.

What season as a fan do you wish 2022 avenges for you?
Another Fan replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
why should that matter -
Well I know there's many but I'll limit this question so you can only pick one season. While I can't argue with anyone that would choose last season with the way it ended but for me personally it'd be 2012. Even during the drought years, I would find something going into each year to be optimistic about. I mean Jauron's teams won 7 games so even those years I felt some kind of hope. But 2012 was the king of disappointment for me as a fan. I figured a solid 10-6/11-5 season where the team finally broke the drought. My reasoning: It sounded as if Fitz struggled the 2nd half of 2011 because he was playing with broken ribs. It actually made me like him more he still played. I figured with the offseason to heel Fitz Magic would be back in full force. Freddie returning from injury. Stevie Johnson being benched the last game in 2011. But he took less money I believe to resign with the Bills in 2012. Which showed to me he was maturing and loved Buffalo. The addition of Mario Williams which I still read from time to time on this site it was like the longest thread or something like that. But that felt huge at the time a player of his magnitude wanting to play in Buffalo. That as well as firing the defense coordinator the year before. It looked like they were trying to address those issues. Plus all the guys on the team were likable and it looked as if Gailey built a culture where guys wanted to play in Buffalo. Needless to say I was in a strictly sports meaning devastated with how that year turned out. Enough so it took me a while to embrace Josh and McDermott's process. It's not that I didn't like what I saw progressing it's that well trust was an issue. But yeah perhaps now that I'm older I could have saw that 2012 team lacked depth. I'm still very very reluctant to call Bills Super Bowl favorites but I'm very confident in saying the team has as good a chance to win as any. Go Bills

Since you seem to follow the farm system, how is it overall? The Reds imo are actually a scrappy team that got off to a bad start. Marlins aaah. Reason I ask is the new owner doesn't seem the type to play. Only up 2 games in the division, he's gonna spend the $$$ and perhaps trade some of the farm system as chips for more summer additions to the lineup. Tbh, I would have no idea if that's a good idea or not. @Gugny@SinceThe70s Actually you both as well would probably know the state of the farm system more so than I.

Random Bills’ Games Stuck in the Memory Bank
Another Fan replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall
2010 against the Lions. 0-8 to start the season and it was the 1st win of the year at home. 14-12. Of course it felt at the time in typical Bills fashion they didn't make it easy. Detroit got a touchdown late but couldn't convert on the 2 point try. I think it was a rainy day too. I have a memory of the crowd singing Sweet Caroline after their 1st win. The team has come a long way since -
The Music City Miracle was harder to get over then 13 seconds Even in the heat, driving without using the A/C on in the car is preferred. Keeps the muscles looser and not as much stress on the engine Wings are okay imo. It's hardly ever a food I order on its own. Boneless can even be preferred with me at times because of using a fork and knife

The 2017 opener I think might be the most underrated one and my favorite one. 21-12 win versus the Jets. While there was nothing hugely memorable about the actual game itself it was a solid W and the 1st win of the Mcdermott era. So a new era so to speak.

It’s been rough against the Astros this year

Well you know I'm as nostalgic as you get and I thought his take was very fair. Yeah 2015ish I think when the Four Falls of Buffalo premiered on ESPN the nostalgia was getting old but that program did put a little battery in that backpack. But it only lasted so long. Every now and then it's nice to relive some moments or what not but yeah it's a continuously beaten dead horse

Random Buffalo Bills ones: I was born in the 80s but still can't conceive how the Miami dominance of the club in the 70s was worse than the Patriots dominance for 20 years Leodis McKelvin was a very good Bill overall who gets most remembered though for the 09' NE fumble and 14' KC game fumble. I'll admit the 09 NE one can be hard to overlook. Been following the team/a fan since the 90s. 2012 was the year of biggest disappointment for me in terms of meeting expectations prior to the season

The Cowboys really weren't all that much better (if any) a team than the Bills in Super Bowl 27, 28. The team choked in both those games

Random Bills’ Games Stuck in the Memory Bank
Another Fan replied to WotAGuy's topic in The Stadium Wall
2nd to last game in 2011 vs the Broncos on Christmas Eve: The Bills had just lost like 8 in a row and this was during the height of Tebow mania. I thought for sure it'd be a loss. On the old BBMB fans were joking it'd be a Rocky 4 like scene: Our people cheer for him!!! But very surprisingly to me the Bills completely dominated that day. Tim was awful Last game of the year in 2012 against the Jets. A very very disappointing season in my eyes. But still seeing the Bills beat the Jets at home on the final game felt good. Jets had beat the Bills 6 in a row prior. I still remember CJ Spiller on a 3d and 13 taking it to the house. He could fly!!!! Memorable in that it was Chan and Fitz's last Bill game -
It's been many years since I watched it. I guess I might be an outlier then as I would actually say no to yay or nay. Like I didn't think it was great but didn't think it was awful. it was alright But I wasn't the shows biggest fan. again ya know it was alright. lol
