  1. I'd like for the coaches to trust him to throw the ball even when we're ahead. We go into time management mode with any lead.
  2. I don't agree with this analogy at all. I was a huge fan of Taylor's early on. Didn't want him to be like any qb in particular. Just a better version of himself. I'm not seeing any true growth in his game. I think we've seen his best and don't think it'll be good enough against good teams.
  3. Sounds fair. Carolina should be a good test.
  4. I didn't even think it was that solid of a performance honestly. I saw a lot of the same stuff I've always seen from him that will be capitalized on by a good opponent. I certainly didn't see Taylor unleashed in any way. Seemed like the coaches are still being handicapped in what they can call. Has he ever audibled into a different play based on what he's seeing from the Defense? Does he even have the option? He's always thrown those away. imo he's always been too quick to do so instead of giving his players a chance to make a big play. I think what you're saying is nonsense.
  5. Nothing I said was wrong. It was exactly what happened in the game. So, the opposite of wrong. You say he hung in the pocket which is true. He hung in the pocket because he had a tough time examining what he's seeing and doesn't make reads fast enough. He needs to work on that more than anything else. He needs to trust his receivers to be where the play dictates they will be and throw the ball giving them a chance to do something after the catch. He waits til a player is open and thus the play more times than not ends as soon as they make the catch. It wasn't all bad. No one is saying that. There was good and there was bad. Playing the Jets helped in that we could still win with the bad. That's going to change as soon as we play a real team out there. I'm allowed to criticize our qb. Especially when the qb has very real things to criticize. I saw more of the same than much needed improvement and you didn't. Season truly starts next week.
  6. And you're ugly. Ooh, you're right, it's fun to say things as if they're fact with absolutely nothing to back it up.
  7. Honestly, I saw the exact same Tyrod. People say he grew in some areas? Ok, but he also regressed in a few. One of his saving graces in his game in the past was his nice long ball. Both that I remember weren't anywhere near the target, and not catchable balls. I liked that in the past he'd throw away a ball when it was obvious nothing was doing on the field. Well yesterday he threw some away that still had legs. He just doesn't give his players a chance to make a big play. They either have to be wide open or he's not throwing it. Did some good thing, did some bad things. Never stood on thevthroat of the opponent and poured it on like we should've, didn't take advantage of our opportunities. It's going to lead to many issues against real teams. Go ahead, tell me I'm wrong. Taylor's exactly the same as he was last year. Some good, some bad. No real urgency or fire, imo.
  8. Well yeah, although I'm pretty sure no one (fans) knew about that at the time. We were just happy he was signed up. Anyone saying they weren't is lying honestly. They're the same type of poster that is still crying about Peters at night.
  9. But the guy we got isnt hurt and we can still use the pick we got. So as of right now we're winning the trade. You can look at it whatever way you decide to and we'll do the same.
  10. Don't listen to the whining thread police. Love the info, thanks for the thread.
  11. One that everyone (myself included) would have flipped out had we not agreed to. In hindsight it's terrible. At the time it made sense.
  12. Really? We're locked and loaded with draft picks and you think they'll bring in Alex Smith? As awesome as he was in that game. It was only one game. Let's not get crazy.
  13. This is going to be a big talking point in negotiations going further. It was always the premise, but now with a tangible point like this one I could see a lot more hold outs. Good and bad.
  14. So a dude starts a thread about his team you don't agree with and now all the fans of that team are the worst? meh...
  15. Wow... i mean. We are tied for first in our division. So that's something.
  16. This thread has gotten wacky. Got to say I'm never a fan of using real life tragedies in an a message board during an argument with someone you'll most likely never meet in the real world. Kind of cheapens the importance of that situation and what it meant/means to you. Just my two cents.
  17. I went in kind of hoping for the Pats to dominate. That way I'd know the Chiefs weren't very good. About halfway into the game I was actively rooting for the Pats to lose. After last night (barring injury or qb controversy) I've accepted the pick will more than likely be a higher one.
  18. No problem Scott, thanks for your contributions. I can tell you're a solid contributor of substance and not annoying at all.
  19. Calling whiners out = crying? Whatever gets you through the night. Fact is I'd say it to all of your faces, pretty much guarantee you wouldn't.
  20. Nope. Just sick of grown men crying about nothing all of the time. Grow up.
  21. According to who, you? Why do you care? Obviously they have their reasons and maybe it's part of a bigger incentive plan they trying out? Either way it's not our money and doesn't affect us negatively at all. Man, Ralph's too cheap and what now Pegula's too giving? You can't win with this fanbase.
  22. Silences the crowd. Gilmore burnt. Wonder who he'll blame? Ha!!! How much is he getting paid??
  23. Incentive. Not guaranteed. The money wouldn't have been spent elsewhere, and may not be spent at all. What's so hard to grasp?
  24. the divisions tough but they seem to be every bit as good as they were supposed to. I'd be surprised if the don't get a wildcard spot at worst.
