TNF: Rams vs. 49ers at 8:25 PM ET on NFLN

Sammy on the Bills this year looks like Sammy on the Bills every other year. No change. Not sure why people think it would change because he's making some plays on a better offense. It's not 1:1 -

Emotionally unstable is right. One big bomb and Watkins is a god. The Bills are building a team, they didn't see Watkins in those plans. Time to move on. -

Ha... like Sammy would make any difference with Taylor at the helm. Peterman, maybe. -

Sorry but watching the Bills game with a room full of fantasy guys is the worst. They don't even seem to care about the real game. -

Fantasy talk is easily my biggest annoyance these days. -
Whoa: A. Hernandez most severe case of CTE ever

I think it can be ignored. They're being paid handsomely and many players were impoverished and this was the easiest way to richville. They know the risks before they strap on the pads. It's a gamble but it's their gamble to make. If I could have played professionally I would have. A few broken eggs... meh... Joining the military can be bad for your health and you don't get paid like pro athletes. I don't see anyone trying to discourage people from joining the military. -

I'm on board with this. I'm good with Woods lighting it up though. -
Deadspin - The NFL Should Legalize Holding

It says unless you bring them to the ground. Impossible to judge. You'd have players flopping all over the field trying to get the flag like in soccer. It's not a good idea. -

There's plenty of qbs to go around, we'll get one even if we get another 6 or 7 wins. Whether we package our picks to pick early or stand pat and grab one we'll get one. It's all a crapshoot. We could lose out and still end up with the Leaf of the bunch. -
Our fault for not giving ourselves an out in the contract for bad behavior. We're stuck with him for a few more seasons at least.

Yeah, where will they ever find dudes to play games for millions of dollars. -
I think that's incorrect. I think Peterman strengths work for exactly what we'd like to do. The Panthers beat us because they didn't have any faith in Taylor's passing and crushed our running attack. I think Peterman opens up the run game by keeping his eyes on his recievers and Giving them a chance to get open. No wasted downs, we gets some chunks of yardage and now they have to play the run and pass respectively.
-
This is exactly where I am. I think we're definitely taking a qb in the first. I could even see them packaging and moving up to get their guy. I don't think if Peterman plays well that changes. Especially since we have two first rounders and with it being so deep in qb we could potentially get s good one and not even use the other pick. Worst case scenario they have the new guy sitting on the bench and if Peterman proves to have the goods they can charge a kings ransom for the other one.
-
He kept his eyes on receivers, he moved well in the pocket and had excellent awareness for a rook. This will only get better with more playing time. I've seen Tyrod go into full run away mode or bail on plays far too early when his pocket starts collapsing. I've seen it enough to know he'll never give his recievers, or himself enough time to hang in there and make the play. If the first read isn't there fast enough and he doesn't have a lane to run, the plays over. Wasted downs. Total cliche. If it was Yates no one wants him in. Peterman showed flashes. Taylor doesn't have it, and Peterman might. That's enough for me. And I don't think that. I think the opposite. Only one way to find out.
-
I'd love to see Peterman play.
-
Matthews caught everything thrown to him and was wide open on MANY plays. Razor thin excuse. Taylor can't see what's happening around him fast enough. He doesn't have it. You're backing the wrong guy. And before you say it, yes, Peterman gives us a better chance to win.
-
I love spending money and Sunday's to watch my football team not put the ball in harms way. Scorings for psychos. I just don't want any interceptions.
-
Are people forgetting our D played lights out and held the Panthers to three field goals? Is it fair to blame our qb who couldn't get us in position to score more than a field goal?! Yes!! With the D playing this well who else do you blame?! It's like I'm living on mars or something!
-
We didn't "have" to go to rookie for a crucial catch. He was wide open. To say you know Sammy would have been that open or that he'd catch that ball is myopic at best. When you have Taylor as your qb it doesn't matter who's out there. Run, run, throw. You're severely handicapping any receivers when the D knows you have to throw on third down. Either Taylor is that bad and they don't trust him or we have a terrible offensive scheme. Either one sucks and I'm so bummed this is what we have to look forward to all year. I thought we were done with this style of play, I thought we were "unleashing" Taylor. All smoke and mirrors. Can't even get excited about the Broncos game now.

Got to agree with everything you've said in this thread. Also, is Shaw serious? He's got to be kidding, right? Right?! -

I hope Zay doesn't see this garbage analysis. What a joke of a throw and a fambase. Only chance we had was the amazing adjustment Zay made. Taylor's straight trash.
