  1. Omg... Poor Gronk if that happened. He has such an excellent life because of his fit with Brady and the Pats. On the Bills and their ever revolving door of qb's he would probably be super overpayed fan favorite (relative unknown to the NFL world) and underachieving just like every other receiving talent on the Bills.
  2. Wow... Tell how you really feel op. I guess some of the original post was on topic. The rest was a complete blasting of fans. I don't really get these kinds of call-outs. If you see things you disagree with address it then with that person. Don't create a thousand word diatribe about people and then run away.
  3. So don't even try? Will it happen, probably not but to not even try seems silly. No one would have ever thought the Osweiler deal would go down the way it did. I'm sure the Texans are happy they put it out there.
  4. If the Pats make this move they're ahead of the curve and lauded for their genius. Jerry Jones tries to make a move and he's "cheap". Eesch...
  5. Ha... It would probably feel a lot like the Pats experienced with Kelly and Marino in the same division.
  6. I have no nervous/anxious feelings about the Pats. We're really in no position to feel anyway about them. They're the cream. I've come around, they're one of those legendary teams people talk about. In a few decades Pats fans will talk about this team the way we talk about the 90's Bills. Unfortunately they're in our division so it directly affects us. Only one thing to do, the same thing the Pats did during our years. Keep plugging away, and wait out the storm.
  7. Idk... I'd just get rid of the 62 and the abbreviation. Boy Street has a certain ring to it if you ask me.
  8. Wow. Now who is taking the message board too seriously? I may have read it in the wrong tone but it wasn't the end of the world for me. I responded in kind and moved on with my day, it turned out I was wrong and I was ok with that. It should have been ok when I basically said " ahh, gotcha, my bad." But it wasn't. It was turned into a thing and now I'm made to look like the whiner. When in fact I couldn't care any less. It's Bologna. Bologna!!!
  9. So... Wait... Are you above the "YouTube comment section" or what? I mean in your long diatribe to your tbd friend you act so above it, but in your post to me it's the exact thing you're demonizing. Looks like being hypocritical wasn't exclusively a bbmb thing. Fun stuff. I for one am taking nothing seriously, I was responding to your pal that seemed so butt hurt over saying a few works he took exception to. You can call me daisy all day long, but I think it would be better served as a nickname for k9. As for you, I think King Hyppo works. Truly a royal in the ways of hypocrisy. I think I smell a name change.
  10. Exactly, I explained this in my post. Not going over it again. If he doesn't want to accept my quasi apology that's his choice. Like I said, every time I read a thread I see the obligatory "bbmb" bomb. Does it really make that much of a difference that someone posted first in a message board? Weird thing to feel holier than thou over.
  11. That's fair. Sometimes hard to tell tone in written text. As you can see by the post responding to yours most of us n00bs are constantly being reminded we're not wanted and are the downfall of your message board. Hard to tell if your jiving with someone or being painted with the bbmb brush. Constructive. Maybe it's posts like this that put most of us in a defensive position. Care to add anything to the conversation or is this what you do now, you just go around looking to brag about being on a message board first? You realize we're all fans of the same team, yeah? When you meet people at games do you ask where they post first before talking to them?
  12. So again, exactly what I said in my post. Middle of the road = nothing special. Keep up man, it's taken you an hour to realize we're saying the exact same thing. As old time is pointing out he's making less than a mil this year. Definitely getting our money's worth.
  13. Exactly the point of my entire post. Was it Brown's (and the other lb's) abilities being exposed over time or did teams find out how to exploit our D and realize much like ourselves that Rex wasn't keen on changing things up? Tough to say. I mean, I'm not going to sit here and say it's 100% one or the other, but you have to admit the reluctancy/inability to adapt was infuriating. Can that really be put on the players?
  14. Are comp pick jokes still funny? Low hanging fruit <-----
  15. Makes sense. I don't know. I thought he was going to be amazing when he came into the league and looked very promising early on. Seemed to fall into middle of the road territory. He has one year left on the rookie deal. Either move him and hope for a small return or play him and hope he returns to form. I'd love to think he's a diamond that Rex forgot to polish but I think that about all Bills. Hard to be objective when you think everyone on the team is a few good snaps from being elite.
  16. Is this what passes for s post around here? Hmm...
  17. What "epic greatness" was happening before this post? If anything this adds a fun conversation on a day when nothing else is happening. Please though, don't let the bbmb shutdown slow you down. Show us what "epic" threads look like. Or are you one of those people that just complain without actually adding anything of substance yourself?
  18. I'm not entirely sure about that. I think that was true but it seems this year they're listening to the true fans and taking steps in the right directions. The NFL was obsessed with getting the casual fan when they had a viable base all along. A rabid, continually breeding fanbase. With the dipping numbers it seems they're finally willing to work with us. They're going to be less strict on celebrations, and they're really getting on the networks for excessive ad time. It's about time they cater to us, no other sport in the US was even close in enjoying the success the NFL was and all they cared about was getting news fans. The old fans spoke in the one way they'd understand and at least for the moment it seemed to work.
  19. I wasn't aware of the rampant faux throat slit problem but no, what the heck do I care? I may be crazy but I don't love these players. We're not related and I've never worn their varsity sweater. They're entertainers to me and if they want to anger another player and get feral out there I'm all for it. People seem to think they're watching the ballet. This is the most violent sport on earth where 300 pound dudes run as hard and fast as they possibly can into people that weigh half their weight. I know what I'm watching. I know they're not actually going to take a knife and cut into another players carotid. If they're getting heated and rabid out there it's even more entertaining for me.
  20. Andre Reed has some very fun celebrations. I actually have a signed photo of him jumping like five feet into the air and spiking the ball through his outstretched legs. Looks awesome and I'm sure every single one of us old enough to watch it were screaming our heads off, People need to relax.
  21. Like I said, I'm in the same group you are. Imo, less is more. But this is supposed to be entertainment and we're not the only people to please. I'm not saying they won't stop it, just that it's the wrong move. Most players that played in the usfl (JK included) said that the usfl was way more fun and the NFL was uptight. That was in the 80's, it's only gotten worse since then. If they keep going this way it's only going to become more and more sterile. People will lose interest, and it'll happen sooner than it has to. This will sound cliche but football is supposed to be fun. Not just for a small minority that dislikes twerking but for everyone. im not a fan of the dancing, but how boring would life be if everyone only did things the way I liked them done? If players can't dance, then Gronk can't spike, and the Packers can't jump in the stands. What's fair is fair.
  22. I think you might be surprised to realize you're in the minority. If every fan that ever went to a game filled out a survey you'd find that most would check off "who cares?!" there would probably only be a few smaller market teams like the Bills where fans would check "eww, I don't want to see that!" We're more open minded than our parents generation. Our kids will be more open minded than us, and so on. In a decades worth of time we won't even be a thought.
  23. . By your logic they should act appropriately according to who is watching. Have you ever considered the adults and children that enjoy twerking? I mean common sense man, you know?
  24. That's your personality. It happens to be mine as well but taking personalities out of football is a mistake. Making football sterile and uniform is the last thing you want to do. Football taps into something primal. Us vs. them in arguably the most violent sport on earth. If there's a place where too many rules and regulations, especially ones put in place to quash individuality were unwelcomed it would be on the gridiron. I get making the game safer, but they're almost intentionally making it less fun. That takes extraordinary ego. I love the Bills and the sport of football. But if anyone deserves a huge serving of humble pie it's the NFL.
  25. Really? You watch less football because of Td celebrations? I call Bologna! Bologna!!!!!
