  1. Glad to be this close after all of that. Hoping we turn things around. Go Bills!
  2. If that is what you got out of my statement, your reading comprehension is as good as your posting.
  3. Never said that the Bills are playing good. The Bills are playing bad, and refs are atrocious, both are accurate. Look, if you get enjoyment out of playing the Devil's advocate troll and rubbing salt in the wounds of everyone when the Bills are off, go ahead. We are done talking, have a good day.
  4. Despite everything, if Buffalo can manage a score before the half, this may be salvageable.
  5. Trent Edwards would be proud. What the hell was that?
  6. Buffalo is playing bad, but NFL officiating is wildly inconsistent at best and slanted towards a narrative at worst. Look no further than last weeks chiefs and Jets game for that. For example, if Buffalo is going to come back today, they will need to play well enough to outscore the jags by 21 instead of a 11, because those few calls will come in at key times.
  7. With this NFL narrative officating, Buffalo is going to need to play like they are down by 21 instead of 11 to come back.
  8. Buffalo is playing like Dino Babers took over the coaching today.
  9. Refs really want attention here. Had the call ready in case that wasn't a catch.
  10. To me, yesterday was a three hour ad for Taylor Swift with a game mixed in. The league only wanted that to go one way. I won't go as far as saying that it is rigged, but I think it is fair to say that to beat the Chiefs (and the Patriots with Brady), you have to play well enough to win by 10. If you play equally or even just well enough to beat them, that timely call or two will give them the edge. When I look at the hold yesterday and PI in the Superbowl, yes, those qualify as penalties, but you could find something on that in almost every play. The refs are choosing not to call those most of the time, but chose to call them at that point. Makes me wonder why they dont call that every time or why they choose to call it then. Make me also wonder why they ignore more blatant calls at the same time. If Mahomes and Brady are the GOAT's. why do they need that? It hurts the credibility of the league. Let them win on their merit.
  11. If Mahomes and Brady before him are really the GOATS, why do they need the refs giving them breaks on every game? Let them earn it. I am not a Jets fan by any means, but they were robbed of a chance to come back.
  12. We were exposed.....as the team to beat in the AFC east again.
  13. Bjian Robinson on these Falcons reminds of of when Marshawn Lynch was on those Losman/Edwards Bills teams. Great player, but defenses know that their only viable offensive option.
  14. The process was good for overhauling a team in an almost 20 year drought, finding a franchise qb and becoming a playoff team again. The process currently is not good for maintaining that talent, developing your franchise QB and getting to the level of Super Bowl team. It is time for McDermott and Beane to rethink how things are being approached so that they can win the close games against contenders and get to the next level to being a top tier team. If they cannot do it this year, then it is time to consider a few changes.
  15. I was really down after the game but am trying to be more positive today. Buffalo actually looked good in the first half. The running game was better when they had the chance to play, Harty and Kincaid showed flashes and the defense was much improved from late last year. The problem is that Allen had his worst game ever and fell apart in the second half. What happens is contingent on whether Allen has one game like this or ten. I want to be optimistic and point out that Favre, Kelly, Manning and Brady have had some clunkers in their career, but Allen seems to not have his head in the game recently. It is one game. There are concerns, but we not alone. KC and Cincinnati are also 0-1. Jets are 1-0 but face the prospect of rolling out Zach Wilson or a journeyman practice squad/free agent backup for the rest of the season. In my opinion, the odds of Allen turning it around and going back into 2021 form are much higher than Zach Wilson suddenly becoming a playoff caliber QB. I am not ignoring the concerns but stating that the season isn't over yet. Hopefully Buffalo can do what they need to against the Raiders and Commanders over the next two weeks and help Allen get out of his own head.
  16. I'm actually glad to see another team get the hype instead of us. They way that we were hyped last year, anything short of a Superbowl was going to leave an unhappy and disappointed fan base. Let Buffalo fly under the radar so that it can be all the more satisfying if this is the year that they finally go all of the way. There is always one team that appears loaded on paper, but for whatever reason it does not end up materializing in reality. Keep in mind that last year, many people thought that Russell Wilson was going to make Denver a super bowl contender. I could see the Jets being that one team this year.
  17. I am a huge fan of Beane and McDermott overall, but they need to get more out their top 3 round picks. The return on investment has not been there since 2019. I know that not every team gets every draft pick, but when late round picks and practice squad pickups are routinely passing your high round picks on the depth chart, there is opportunity to improve. I am glad that they at least were able to get an extra draft pick out of it if the other option was to cut him.
  18. Honestly, given the amount of throwing that he does and his ability to throw in tough positions, 14 to 15 interceptions is not all that bad. HOF QB's like Kelly and Favre routinely had more than that. To me, the fumbles while running are more of a concern and a statistical outlier. Having under ten interceptions in a full season would be amazing for Allen. Even if Allen was to cut his interceptions down to 12 (The INT's that Mahomes and Burrow had last year,) that would be a great leap forward.
  19. I would welcome him back despite the problems last time. Much of the previous holdout issues IMO was mainly due Ralph Wilson trying to low ball him. Peters despite his could probably start right away at either position and be an upgrade. Dawkins is out of shape and Spencer Brown is not getting it done. If this wasn't urgent before last night, it should be now.
  20. I am not making excuses, Buffalo was undisciplined, but the refs were flag happy to a point that I haven't seen since Brady was on the Pats. The worst to me was one play where Allen looked like he was going to escape a sack and make a throw and the ref threw a flag the second he broke free. Allen was eventually sacked and Mysteriously there was no penalty. It looked as if the ref was covering his bases in case the Bills got a first down and that there was an intent to keep Buffalo from driving. Still, even of only half of those 13 penalties in the first two quarters were legit, 6-7 penalties in a half is still inexcusable. Hopefully the Bills get it figured out by week 1.
  21. I was impressed with Gabe Davis. That is really about it though.
  22. Allen has made some good throws today, he can't help the play of the line or the calls of the ref.
  23. Buffalo is flat today, but I hope that this ref is not allowed anywhere near a Bills game this year. He clearly has a vendetta against them.
  24. Just because you didn't say that word for word does not mean that it wasn't implied or something that could be easily concluded. You inaccurately stated that Buffalo relied on discards from other teams when Shell was a free agent signing. You then indicated that it was an example of poor planning by saying "Does that not sound like mismanagement to you?". To me that sounds like you think that they should have known that he was going to suddenly retire before signing him. If that is not accurate, since we are not able read your mind, why don't you tell us what you meant by that and what you thunk Buffalo should have done differently given their cap limitations.
  25. Shell was a free agent, not a discard. How could we have known that he would suddenly decide to retire?
