  1. Multiple people are idiots. Do you honestly think Allen would have trotted out there in practice without an arm brace and in pads for his first practice of the week with McDermott saying it's gone from day to day to hour to hour with him??? C'mon people I can't friggin believe those of you who think that somehow a "surprise!!!" Case Keenum start is better than even a 75% Josh Allen... and I'm sure Josh Allen is closer to 100% than 75%
  2. What who's saying? Have we heard specifics from anyone within the Bills organization what the injury is? Or is the media just guessing? Just because on Monday Allen was having his UCL checked for a sprain or tear doesn't mean they found one.
  3. No one knows what the injury is. It's pure speculation rather than reporting and what started out as comical is now just kinda sad.
  4. Seriously? I don't understand you and @Logic and @BuffaloBaumer and your ilk. It's absolutely still possible that Josh sits, but it seems like in some of your minds you delusionally think you know the extent of Josh's injury when you obviously don't have a clue. If Josh is healthy and there's no risk of worsening the injury other than a freak incident like Huff's hit, you friggin play Josh Allen. And if it's nerve irritation and it's better now, that's probably the case. If it's a super extreme minor sprain... I'm no Doctor but I've sprained my ankle plenty and minor ones take a few days to feel 100%, not weeks. Josh has talked all about the stretching and work he does for his body in the offseason, maybe he's 100% already. Regardless of whatever the participation status today will be it's clear he was there participating to at least some degree with pads on. McDermott changed his designation to hour to hour instead of day to day. What about this sounds like Josh not trending towards playing? You guys just doing the Billsy thing of talking up to worst so as not to be let down? Honestly... my main reason for thinking Case might play at this point is McDermott setting Keenum up for a revenge game all week, not wanting to let him down and having an excuse with Allen’s injury.
  5. Do you really think it's logical to apply the same rule to Josh Allen as the rest of the team?
  6. Hour to hour now. The evidence just piling up that he's playing at this point. Not to say I told you so, but...
  7. No... "best case scenario" is NOT a minor Grade 1 sprain necessarily. Here... I'm going to post this for a 3rd time and direct you to 2:35 and keep watching for about a minute. This is where he describes what is probably "best case scenario," which is nerve irritation. It's basically the nerve getting knocked out of place and shouldn't cause him to miss much, if any time. But again, watch the explanation from someone explaining different possiblities of injuries for Allen with visuals.
  8. Everything is just speculation right now, but that whole nerve thing is explained in that Youtube video I've now posted twice in this thread. It's actually kinda best-case-scenario in a lot of ways and this might even mean there's no sprain at all. The nerve issue they may be talking about is the equivalent of you hitting your funny bone and having that tingly feeling. With Allen it was just bad enough that it took longer than the normal couple minutes to fix itself, but they apparently usually resolve themselves pretty quickly. So... if that's actually a "report" that it was the nerve issue thing involving Allen's grip of the football, I think that's honestly truly best-case scenario (other than him not getting injured, obviously) and who knows if that report is based on Allen's status today or right after the injury itself.
  9. Apparently this is the guy some of you want starting this week:
  10. The thing is, Graziano is being pretty transparent about the fact that what he's saying is just an educated guess and nothing more. It's everyone else who's reacting to this as some kind of reporting. Well... there is a way this team could earn itself another bye week... and I don't think it's with this guy:
  11. And then as soon as the media sneaks out Allen jumps right in
  12. Ever consider that sitting him out all week from practice may actually be the cautious approach itself? It's all still speculation on what Josh's injury is and it's automatically going to the things that aren't even the least common denominator, which is basically temporary nerve displacement during the game, which would have resulted in that tingly funny bone feeling you get in your arm and hand. Those resolve themselves pretty quickly. I'm not saying that is what happened. But it's one of the potential results that no one is talking about. And if it is that, I could see McDermott still sitting Josh all week just out of an abundance of caution while still planning/hoping to play him on Sunday. I just think it's odd that absolutely everyone seems to know what his injury is. All we know is what we saw on Sunday. A play that looked like it could have been a brutal injury followed by a play where Allen threw the ball and grabbed his elbow and squeezed his hand (almost as if he hit his funny bone) and then followed that up with a 70 yard bomb that didn't seem to cause him all that much pain as you watched him after the play and in the PC. Regardless of anything, Allen could miss this week's game. I still think he plays but I absolutely could see McDermott sitting him thinking it's not a conference game so it doesn't matter as much. But I don't remotely think Allen would miss more than 1 game if it happens.
  13. Notice the wording. This isn't sourcing. It's a guess. When McDermott held Allen out yesterday he was more than likely to hold Allen out today and probably even tomorrow. The key will be the injury report tomorrow as that will be the best hint. We already know McDermott said he's taking things "day-to-day" with Allen and said "we'll see" in reference to Allen playing Sunday. Allen didn't practice yesterday and isn't practicing today so unless he fell/falls down the stairs or something, he hasn't and won't suffer a setback. So the question will be how he's looking tomorrow and more importantly how he's feeling Sunday. Allen could still not play Sunday. I still think he will while also thinking he won't practice tomorrow, either.
  14. I wasn't betting, just asking if you'd leave out of embarrassment. I, on the other hand, acknowledged that it's possible he doesn't play, but that it's much more likely he plays now.
  15. A lot of us mainly because evidence leans more towards him playing than not. Are you so adamant that he won't play that you'll leave the board if he does?
  16. As he should and as I would expect him to for the rest of the year.
  17. You're being ridiculous and apparently also need glasses. Even if you extend that play all the way up until the moment Josh throws the ball to Davis there are 2 players on Knox's side of the field. One is at the 1st down marker and 1 is 12 yards beyond the 1st down marker. Knox is about 15 yards away from the 1st down plus another defender who was spying Josh and followed him to the other side of the field but was still only on the hash at the time he set up to throw. Throwing to Knox at that point was stupid and would have been a much worse decision than the throw to Davis (which was a great throw that was very catchable) considering that it would have been a throw across the field, how short of the stix Knox was and the 2, probably 3 defenders who could have gotten to him even at that point. Those are the simple facts. Are you this stubborn in your everyday life?
  18. YES!!!! This was another interesting thing after reading about and researching the injury a little. One of the things that apparently could have happened based on the injury was essentially his nerve being pulled a little out of place, which results in that tingly funny bone feeling you just mentioned. That was referred to as basically the best case scenario because it's something that goes away relatively quickly. I think this guy has some of that explanation: And some would ask "well if that's all it is, why isn't he practicing?" Well... that might not be all it is. But based on the way the injury looked I could see McDermott wanting to give Josh every single day he can this week to rest to make sure he's recovered as much as possible for Sunday's game. Afterall, isn't Josh at the point in his career where he can miss practice during the work week and be good on gameday?
