  1. Attaboy... maybe now you'll get it Not anything? Then why did Mueller explicitly state he couldn't exonerate him AND state that a large part of this report and process was for the sake of preserving evidence AND specifically bring up the impeachment process for congress?
  2. Completely agree, especially now that we've officially declined Shaq Lawson's 5th year option, not that this is much of a surprise.
  3. The report and that passage itself establishes Mueller didn't find criminal conspiracy. It says nothing about collusion. That report is such an indictment on Trump that if this were a few decades ago, we'd have begun the impeachment process already. But this is the whole point, isn't it? Trump and Faux News have brilliantly twisted the narrative around over the last couple years or so. So much so that no one really knows their position on anything. Trump really has one news station that spins a yarn so often of an alternative universe along with a bunch of feeble minded Republican Senators for being able to serve out the full 4 years he'll get. Doesn't matter to me though. So many atrocious precedents have been set by Republicans over the last 8 years... none of this is surprising. Just gotta endure just 19+ more months of Trump.
  4. So a stupid twitter argument by a couple of idiots is somehow substantive? Seriously? First of all, there's plenty of evidence, set forth by Mueller in his report, of collusion. But as he said in the report himself, he wasn't investigating collusion, he was investigating criminal conspiracy. And he couldn't "establish" criminal conspiracy--interesting wording in the context of a report that weaves a web of a campaign in contact with Russia at varying points and with knowledge that Russia's interference in the election would actually help Trump win. And that leaves aside the entirety of the evidence laid out in the report of obstruction of justice, which is readily apparent. Along with all the other ongoing investigations. But yeah... send me another twitter argument of 2 nobodies saying "look at the collusion!" / "only a conspiracy theorist could call this collusion"... might be slightly more substantive than a gif, but not much.
  5. 2016 was more about "I'm not Hillary" (and part of the greater Swamp) than it was about "I'm not Trump," right? I feel like even most of you here at PPP would agree with that. So Trump squeezed out an election because of one of a faulty candidate along with a little help from Russia and Wikileaks, lack of "established criminal conspiracy" notwithstanding... I'm genuinely curious... what gives you guys this confidence for a President who's had historically low approval ratings throughout his ENTIRE presidency? If your confidence stems from the lack of anything he's doing to protect our next election and an assumption that there will be more interference next time around, then unfortunately I almost understand that position. But unless something big happens Trump likely wouldn't win the next election against a competent candidate (Biden is competent... Bernie isn't) without major outside help just like he wouldn't have won in 2016. That election was pretty much the perfect confluence of events for him... which he may have played a big role in, even if it's not "established" as criminal.
  6. So what do you think a "reasonable deal" is? https://overthecap.com/position/edge-rusher/ According to that, Hughes is the 22nd highest paid "Edge Rusher" in the NFL. Murphy is 31st and will be paid less than the likes of unproven rookie "Edge Rushers" Nick Bosa and Clelin Farrel. I think you're nuts if Hughes accepts a deal like that. Michael Bennett is a couple years older than Hughes and he just signed a 2 year deal with the Patriots worth almost $17 million. The Jags signed Calais Campbell to a 4 year $60 million deal when he was Hughes' current age and they picked up his option this year. So tell me... what's reasonable for both the Bills AND for Hughes? It likely ain't a "Trent Murphy type of deal."
  7. Eh, you don't really need a true number one WR nowadays in the NFL, as long as the rest of your WRs are decent. With the addition of Brown and Beasly and Foster coming on strong in the 2nd half of the season last year, I think our WR group might end up being pretty good. Hopefully Jones gets better, too. Beane sure seems to have a good deal of confidence in him.
  8. As it stands DE is the only one we absolutely must take action on. WR & OL are really TBD based on what we see this year. I think our WR corps might be set going into the 2020 season.
  9. Shazam! was such a blast!!! Wife and I loved it! Of course, we also loved Chuck for the first couple seasons and will pretty much watch Big any time it's on TV, so we might be a bit biased
  10. Our top 4 WRs are set, plus we have one guy who’s going to be listed as a WR but is almost purely a return guy. So do we keep a 6th WR or do you legitimately think Sills pushes another one of our guys there off the roster? Zay is the only one I can see, but I don’t think Beane wants to let him go considering he already started talking potential upcoming contract he’s gonna need to negotiate with him in the next couple years.
  11. Give what a rest? I said Hughes was an absolute beast and should be resigned, I just don’t know if McBeane will. No need to get triggered so quickly about something that’s been a valid criticism of Hughes from day 1 in Buffalo. I hope this is what happens.
  12. DE/"Edge Rusher" Jerry Hughes is still an absolute wrecking ball, but his contract is up this off-season, he turns 31 in August, and there might be some question marks over whether he's really a "McDermott guy" character wise considering how prone he is to getting flagged for 15 yards. The Bills only have 5 guys remaining on the team from before McDermott arrived and Hughes will still be considered in the prime of his career as the season ends, even if it's the back end of his prime. Should Beane and McDermott give Hughes the big contract this offseason? I think they should. Will they? Lorenzo Alexander isn't a DE, but I think he qualifies as "Edge Rusher." McDermott clearly loves the guy, so I could easily see another one year contract next season if he's still producing on the field, but that's definitely a question mark because of his age. Shaq Lawson hasn't been a bust, but he's really been a disappointment for where he was drafted and expectations coming in. Last year wad his best year so far, but with just a month left to decide on whether we pick up his 5th year option, Beane said he hasn't decided: I don't think they pick it up. That's 3 more guys from before McDermott arrived potentially gone and all 3 playing similar positions. So... do we keep one, two or all of these guys or do we go into NEXT year's draft with the glaring DE/Edge Rusher need?
  13. Has that ever happened? We already know Allen and Darnold are tight. The AFC East is going to be interesting for the next 10-15 years if Rosen, Darnold and Allen are all Franchise QBs. Wonder if Rosen would participate in an AFC East QB golf outing the way Fitz did or be all Marsha and sit at home.
  14. This was the perfect episode for a Friday night after a couple good IPAs while drinking a good glass of Scotch. The perfect upbeat nostalgic episode with very little plot development (though some of significance) with the inevitable Epic battle to come next episode. Soooo... what's the over/under on how many major characters bite the dust next episode?
  15. Wow. Really excited about this pick! What an awesome draft! We've filled our most pressing needs!
  16. Gore or Yeldon are gone. I don't know how anyone thinks we're trading Shady. What would we get for him? A 5th round pick? Shady will remain on the team for another year. Oddly enough he's one of the team leaders and has a tight relationship with Josh. Personally, I think Yeldon will be gone and this guy is our #3. And we should all be good with that.
  17. So if that 40 time number is correct... holy crap!!! His size is Hock-like. He's played QB for years, which gives him an added edge. And a 4.51? Considering the 2 WRs he was playing between, being new to the position, and a QB who isn't exactly all-world, it seems understandable that his production is so low. Hard to call a 3rd rounder a Diamond in the Rough, but definitely gotta keep an eye on this guy.
  18. Yes, they did. If you listen to Beane's pre draft PC, he essentially explains why they trade up. Very simply, it's if they have a guy graded much higher on the board than everyone else left on their board. That's the reason we traded up for this guy and for Ford in round 2, who I'd guess we had a 1st round grade on considering we traded up 2 spots. Shut up... Seriously? Do you have a link? Link?
  19. Soooo... clearly this is why the guy wasn't one of the top TEs, just trusting the process and assuming McBeane coveted this guy enough to trade up for him and view him as a legitimate long term TE. Measurables actually look strikingly similar to Hock. And he's a converted QB, so that's an added dimension. Any listing of his 40 time?
