  1. So I didn't see this article posted before game 4, but it's a good one. Note that the article says that Duke's been shining in his preseason games AND in practice. Plenty of other really good quotes from Duke and his teammates that really just make me wanna see him get his shot.
  2. I agree they keep 7 WRs. Biggest disagreement is that Jaquon Johnson makes the team. Maybe that means 3 RBs and one on the PS, but that guy solidified a roster spot this preseason.
  3. Can anyone explain the roster exemption for Wade? Do we move him directly to the practice squad or do we have to cut him and expose him to a potential waiver wire pickup?
  4. Is Zay your brother or something? Or you were a fan of him at East Carolina? Your undying defense of him is bizarre. I've said for awhile I think Zay makes the roster because Beane loves him and will give him absolutely every benefit of the doubt.
  5. Hunh????? Duke had 2 contested over the middle catches on RPO plays that he snatched out of the air with his strong hands. Then he was taken out of the game. He solidified his roster spot with those 2 catches. Don't even know what the heck you're talking about in terms of rubbing salt in a wound
  6. Well... going nowhere for now. I guarantee he doesn't have a long leash. If he starts the season out dropping some passes or is invisible, he's probably going somewhere outside of top 3 WR rotation.
  7. Nay. Foster played a couple special teams plays--and made a great one. Then they took him out. Foster was pretty much ensured the #5 spot. And Duke ensured a spot tonight as well. Only 2 catches, but difficult catches over the middle and then he was taken out. Duke makes it. I think McKenzie does, too. I think we keep 7 WRs... Or trade one.
  8. You guys are hilarious...
  9. No one ever said that, huh? Okay. Seems you're getting stuck in stupid semantics. Several of you have said that Comey and McCabe and the ilk would end up in jail because of illegal FISA warrants and what they've done trying to oust Trump and so on and so on. I'm not searching for the specific posts if you deny it's happened. I'm not wasting my time. Just like I'm not wasting my time reading a 65 page report. I have better things to do. As "educated" as some of you apparently are over here, you guys seem to have severe tunnel vision and clearly suffer from massive confirmation bias Comey did nothing illegal. Despite Trump crying out that he leaked classified info--he didn't. Case closed. Onto McCabe, who also won't end up in jail, despite me being told otherwise. By the way, Biden's still holding strongly onto that double digit lead among democratic candidates
  10. It is. And he wasn't prosecuted, which is so weird because one thing I distinctly remember being told is "just wait til the IG prosecutes all those crooked anti-Trump guys like Comey, Mccabe, etc." You guys are funny. You'll go on talking about this forever despite the fact that he didn't do anything illegal. No classified information shared with the media. Have fun
  11. If we're going by "accomplishments," Robert Foster deserves a roster spot over Zay Jones. Foster established himself more as an NFL receiver in half a season than Zay did in 2 full seasons.
  12. My bad. Neglected to look up East Carolina. It is, indeed, a D1 school.
  13. College pedigree? Zay Jones played at a crappy D1 college in East Carolina. Duke Williams played in the SEC at Auburn. And being a 2nd round draft pick going in his 3rd season guarantees absolutely nothings.
  14. Zay was the top WR on the team last season is the reason he earned that 3rd season is disingenuous. Our WR corps sucked last year. Probably the worst WR corps in the NFL up until the 2nd half of the season when Foster really elevated things.
  15. What the hell is up with the Zay lovin poster? Zay has been a disappointment thus far for what he was advertised as. And to remind everyone, he was advertised as sure-handed. He was one of the most sure handed college WRs, if not the most, in his draft class. In the NFL, he's been the opposite. I think he makes the team. But I don't think he deserves to make the team over Duke... or McKenzie, for that matter.
  16. Rogers and Lewis didn't have the preseason Duke is having.
  17. https://theathletic.com/1161883/2019/08/26/projecting-the-bills-53-man-roster-heading-into-the-final-preseason-game/ Projecting the Bills’ 53-man roster heading into the final preseason game Wide Receiver (7) John Brown, Cole Beasley, Zay Jones, Andre Roberts, Robert Foster, Isaiah McKenzie, Duke Williams Through three preseason games, Duke Williams has done enough to make the initial Bills roster. It all began for him right near the end of training camp at St. John Fisher College, where it seemed like something clicked for the receiver. Williams brought in a contested catch in the end zone during practice, and from that point forward, he’s been on a steady incline. He provides something that no other receiver on the roster does with his size, and now he’s starting to figure out how to win on his routes. His effectiveness as a run blocker is a significant factor in the decision, as well. Williams should hang on through the initial 53-man roster, but if the team makes a waiver claim over the weekend, he could end up on the shortlist to be released.
  18. Size and skillset... Great... Duke looks mean and hungry and like he knows this might be his last shot in the NFL... that's why the Bills need to keep him, along with the obvious size and skillset stuff.
  19. It's weak to point to the fact that in game 3 of preseason--the "dress rehearsal"--that Duke had more snaps than any other WR, including a bunch of snaps in the 1st half with the 1s??? Sounds like you went to "many" TC practices, but clearly the coaches are seeing something you didn't in your expert TC observations.
  20. Follow the thread of that conversation please. I never said the Bills aren't playing their starters.
  21. And how much did you focus on what Duke Williams was doing and how much the coaches were interacting with him?
  22. Largest revision downward in 10 years and the revision downward was primarily in the retail, leisure, and hospitality sectors. All closely tied with consumer spending. I don't know how you could possibly spin this as anything other than something negative and I'm a little perplexed that I was the first to mention this considering the news was out a few days ago.
  23. Oh, so you attended all or most preseason practices?
