PFF's top 100 free agents
BullBuchanan replied to Tortured Soul's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
14 Million for Richard Sherman would be unforgiveable. The dude is done. -
I'm just not sure what he's done to deserve it. He plays a vanilla defensive scheme the rest of the world has long passed by. McDermott has had to take playcalling duties away from him in the past and you think he's HC material? Based on what exactly? I'm not even convinced they should keep him around as DC.

Why would they release Addison? I think he's been quite good. They save more money cutting Hughes. Jefferson seems liek a guaranteed cut right now that saves $8M and probably John Brown too, unless he blows up the rest of the playoffs.

Which HC Job, If Any, Does Brian Daboll Get?
BullBuchanan replied to jwhit34's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think he likes the prospect of the Chargers, Eagles, or Texans. The Chargers have to be the number 1 job in the league based off their QB situation. If he goes, hopefully it's to the Eagles. I want to see the Chargers botch their HC again with another retread like Lewis. -

Just kill me. My lady started making bread this week, so I'm riding that sourdough train all the way to DiabeetusTown. -

Where do you source your kummelweck rolls? -
Pro Bowl voting is one of the most useless awards in all of sports. It means less than nothing. He doesn't need to be a "skull crusher", but he plays the game soft. People bashed on Poz for tackling guys several yards down the field, but that's best case scenario for Edmunds. He spends most of his day getting caught in the garbage at the line and taking bad angles to the ball carrier. Maybe he's had one, but I can't think of a single noteworthy play he's had all year. 1 sack, 3 tfl, no int, no forced fumbles. If he meets your bar of a good football player, I think you have your sights set too low. If he played on the Jets, no one would be talking about him unless it had to so with how "he's only [insert age]" *doge face*. For a pass oriented LB, give me Deion Jones any day.

Tua benched again - will start in Buffalo week 17
BullBuchanan replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't be shocked. The browns are out a lot of players right now and they're coming off a loss to the Jets. The Browns also have a history of playing their worst when it matters most. -
I hope they draft his replacement and let him play out a lame duck season next year. His athleticism is wasted on his soft, bad instinct play. We declined Shaq's 5th year option. I agree though that we should treat them the same way. Let Edmunds play out year 4 and have someone else overpay him to a regrettable contract.

I've seen him get abused by TE's in coverage. Is it too much to ask any LB to cover modern TE's? Maybe, but if that's all he brings you, what exactly is his value? I know zilch about the LBs in the upcoming draft class, but if there's an elite, do-it-all Urlacher, Willis, Kuechly type guy out there, I really want them to go get him. Our defense really lacks that game changer that can take over that side of the ball. Edmunds age is becoming a meme of " Did you know Nick O'Leary is Jack Nicklaus' grandson?" proportions. I don't care if he's 18 or 35. If he can't play, he can't play. Also, age really doesn't matter all that much because it's the miles that get to players eventually.

Tua is pretty clearly RJ.
