  1. Cap hit would be around 3.5 a yr it seems, and we just freed up 6 mil from TT restructure so we have TT and a FB and still 2.5 mil more in space than we did yesterday
  2. So this guy has only ran it once in his career, and the most he caught was 13 passes in a season. He did make the pro bowl in 2015, does any one know anything about this guy? Doyouseewhathappenslarry - you are a falcons fan, any insights?
  3. So we are not getting the polish Harvard grad (easier to say that then attempt to spell the name haha)?
  4. This so much, I really hope the 5th yr seniors get to play in a tourney
  5. Miami shooting lights out, even banking in some garbage shots, they got all the bounces it seemed and Gillon needs to take more care of the ball and start scoring. We tighten things up I think we will be fine.
  6. I could get behind this, although I am sure Incognito may not like his buddy leaving, but Groy filled in and did a good job last year.
  7. who are these announcers? The guy goes Miami is rolling at the break and it is 12-9
  8. Assuming he is even there and that is a risk in itself, plus DW doesn't exactly have a good track record on mid to late OL picks
  9. Maybe that is the difference, I see TT as a bridge while we can groom a rookie and a good OL and running game is the best way to bring a long rook. Is there anyone here that doesn't see us spending a high pick on a QB this year or next?
  10. That could also be because we had Mills as our RT so he may have felt pressure that wasn't there (due to Mills being awful).
  11. We want more than, "more than serviceable" I think is the difference. We want dominant. That helps every part of the O. It makes DBs have to cover our WR's longer, we can be less predictable in the run game, and get a better push to pick up the 3rd and shorts. And think of this. Say it takes longer for the protection to break down now on a pass play, TT still has the ability to extend plays there, its not like his mobility is still not an asset.
  12. It is still savings which helps certainly, but we can structure his contract with a low cap number this year since he will be getting a signing bonus which is paid upfront so it wont really impact his earnings. Plus I read we have a lot of cap room for next year, why not use some of that to sure up the OL?
  13. We all know the people that go to Harvard are the people that couldn't get into BC
  14. $6 for a cuse game and you didn't jump at it? Damn
  15. If we get him (I mean he must know the zone scheme Dennison ran and Castillo is familiar with him) I think this would help our OL learn and gel in this offense quickly. We can structure the contract where the hit isn't so bad this year, but would set our OL up for a couple of years
  16. I am timing my lunch so I can catch the entire second half! (I will be scoreboard watching for the first half)
  17. Actually he last got it out/tried to use it against sting in their match at WM
  18. Ah ok, I didn't see that by Chris T then, but good info to know!
  19. Did you see the stain the fence was wearing? It was like an open invitation
  20. I think you would have to sign him to an extension and then convert this years money to a signing bonus so it becomes guaranteed but can also spread it out across the length of the contract. So if by your example, they sign a 1 yr extension with the next year base at 1 mil and convert the 6 of the 7 this year to a signing bonus, the cap hit would be 4 this year and 4 next year (1mil base 3 mil bonus cap hit). I am not an expert but that is how it would work I think, so it would save 3 this year (4 instead of 7) but then you are adding 4 to next year Is this if they are cut? What savings are you talking about? The OP I believe was talking about restructuring not cutting
  21. Not sure about Glenn as he just recently signed his extension, and I thought this was Kyles last year on his current deal?
  22. You can try and recreate that magic in the Off the Wall sub forum here, it seems to have a similar feel
  23. They have had to cut things like that out mainly due to concussions etc. Sting used to have his bat, I think that was the last real weapon that was consistently carried to the ring unless I am mistaken. Chair shots are not done to the head any more, they are either jabs to the stomach or straight across the back
  24. McDermott (I read somewhere) doesn't like spending high picks on DB's, so I cant see that suddenly changing now even if we need one, I bet we take a couple later in the draft, and maybe a vet in FA
