Contrary to you over the top requirements, the only thing the new GM has to do is: don't overeach on a qb, if you draft a qb and hes a bust cut ties early, dont spend early picks on known injured players that every other team has removed from the board and act as if you are smarter than the other 31 teams GMs, retain good players that produce for you, be able to communicate clearly in the most basic of settings without contradicting yourself and making the organization appear to be ran by s bunch of amatuers, and produce a playoff team in a reasonable period 2-4 years.

Wouldnt they essentially have to hire someone to scout and be a gm then? And if so isnt there clauses in scouts and gms contracts that deny them employment opportunities by other clubs when they are working on the draft/draftboards for their current team? And if those two answers are yes, who would be left? Promote from within or higher someone thats fired, or a relative unknown as new owners?

I didnt say anything about adding players. I stated :He hasn't done anything to get this team any closer to being a playoff team. How do you measure being a playoff team? Wins? Losses? Making the playoffs? If adding probowlers to a team lead to playoff births then there would be quite a few teams that make the playoffs. Chargers, Ravens, and Titans. But as a cumulative group of decisions by our GM his addition of two Pro Bowlers literally had zero increase of us making the playoffs in comparison to our teams of yesteryear prior to Whaleys arrival. So yes hes literally done nothing to get this team closer to the playoffs.

They are absolute because we havent made the playoffs. He was 7-9 last year same record as 2008 and one win better than 09,11,12,13. He literallly has done nothing to better this team for a playoff contention. If he has they are so minimalistic because of his other very poor decision making that usually comes in the way of detrimental effects on the team.

Because hes not a capable gm. He's cavalier with draft picks. Cavalier with the cap. Dishonest to his players. Fails to have any foresight. Hasn't done anything to get this team any closer to being a playoff team. Has disruptions with every coaching staff this far.

For every Deshaun Jackson there are thirty Parrishs and Goodwins. Not worth the risk. He had microfracture surgery. The reports from last year was that a player needing microfracture surgery will likely not have that long of a career from the surgery.
