I’ve been dealing with some persistent scammers using robocalls lately. They are using a caller ID spoofer so the numbers are different every time, and they always start with my area code and the first 3 digits of my phone number (always a different last 4 digits every time they call). The 2 main ones lately are one saying they are National Grid and my electricity will be shut off in 30 mins (I’ve gotten that message about 10 different times over the last few weeks. Electricity’s still on 🤔) The other is Amazon calling to tell me there was a purchase made on my account (different each time but usually $400-700) and if I made the purchase then no further action is required. I get a kick out of this one because WHY would amazon call to tell me I’ve made a large purchase? LiKe, how would that benefit them? Are they calling to make sure I really, really wanted to spend my money with Amazon? “Hey this is amazon, are you really sure you wanted to spend money with us?”🤣 But I’m sure people fall for it. I went a long time without answering the calls. But then one day they started calling like every 10 minutes. It happened like 5x in a row so I finally answered. They don’t directly call. You get a recording then you have to press 1 to speak to a live person. Ive talked to the people calling (heavy Indian accents) multiple times now and told them I know it’s a scam. I’ve told them I don’t even have an Amazon account. Or a national grid account. They called a few times after that, but That finally seemed to do the trick (fingers crossed). It’s been a few days now since they’ve called. I was running out of ideas to get them to stop calling. edit - and of course, 15 mins after I post this, they called... anyone have any ideas on how to get them to stop? Im running out of ideas and things to say. You have to press 1 to talk to a live person, so I can’t just answer by saying “(fill in the blank)” Im thinking of telling them they’re calling a police station. Or getting a robotic recording to play when they answer that says “please hold. call tracing in progress” or something.

5-2 Buffalo! Man, that was such a fun game to watch. It honestly reminded me of when the Sabres used to be a good/fun team to watch! They were constantly crashing the net and creating traffic + legitimate scoring chances. Attacking the Caps all night. Actually winning puck/board battles. Back checking hard. Super active sticks. Just an overall good, exciting brand of hockey. Im starting to like Donny Granato more by the day. I’m still not ready to say he should get the full time gig. But he (and Ellis + Girardi) are doing great things. Literally every young player is playing night&day better. Mittelstadt looks like he’s really coming into his own. Dahlin looks like Dahlin again. Joker looks great. Asplund. Bryson. They just need to bench Irwin and call up Samuelsson or another young guy. Also, I was way too quick to complain about that Bjork trade. He’s really impressed me. I’ll gladly eat crow if he keeps playing like this!

Sabres are playing some damn good hockey tonight against Washington. Bjork impressing me so far, too.

When I first read quotes like this, it raised some doubts for sure: But reading the entire article, it sounds like he is still very passionate about playing football. Sounds like it’s his 1st love. combine that love for the game with his insane talents and I think he’ll be fine. I personally love for my QB to have a “HATE to lose” competitive drive to be the best, like Allen. But that can also be a detriment at times (like we’ve seen when Allen gets too flustered), and it’s caused plenty of QBs to get eaten up by the NFL, constantly being under the microscope. So who knows, maybe it will serve Lawrence well. Or he could end up walking away one day like Luck did. Time will tell.

Great interview! Yep. It would be a bummer to lose him but I also trust Beane to replace him. I feel so damn lucky Brandon Beane is our GM.

I am one of the weird ones who actually wanted to have some side effects and was happy when I did 🤣 honestly. It put my mind at ease. I knew that the vaccine triggered an immune response in my body and I felt like “ok, now I know it worked and I’ll be protected”.

There are rumors going around that apparently Hall blocked a trade to a couple teams. Isles are one of the rumored teams (apparently they were ready to offer a similar package to the 1 they sent to NJ) and another unnamed wild card team (some saying it might’ve been the Blues).

Many people get a stronger reaction to the 2nd dose because your immune system recognizes the virus spike protein from the first dose of the vaccine and mounts a stronger response. yeah, you’re all good regardless of vaccine reaction. Everyone’s body/immune system is different. When you look at the trial data for the Pfizer & Moderna vaccines, just over 1/2 the people had no reactions but were still 90+% protected. I’ve read the younger you are, the More likely you are to have a reaction (more robust immune system) but I don’t know that’s actually true.
