  1. Inactive or active? He made me nervous a little but I think he showed a lot of heart and fire out there. Seems excited to get his shot. I like it.
  2. So who else do you want cut? Unfortunately, we simply don't have the depth to release Ford outright though I would like him off the team. The staff has shown plenty of times they cut their "boys" like Zay Jones.
  3. We signed Butler. It obviously hasn't worked out, so they have taken accountability and benched him. How is this a problem? McK has had many more issues beyond the fumble. The blown squib kick against WFT, muffing a punt against Miami, bad choices for free kicks, bad choices to return, etc. I think he's out of his element as a returner.
  4. McK is obviously sending a message since his mistake effectively ended the game for us against the Colts. Not sure why you're defending Butler as he's been absolute butt cheeks out there.
  5. Curious, I heard from several sources that McD is only loyal to his picks and won't ever consider change. Odd.
  6. OK, so which teams are elite then? Because nearly every team in the league has one "bad" loss be it Packers vs. Saints, Titans vs. Texans, us vs. Colts, and so on.
  7. Both Phillips and Moss were third rounders which is about where I would like to see a definitive regular starter guy. Anything after that is gravy. Just don't see it with Phillips.
  8. I dunno, Chiefs fans have been pretty annoyed with their offensive line too, especially giving up a first for Orlando Brown who has disappointed. Just from stuff I've seen.
  9. I ignored the 2017 draft since it wasn't clear who was calling the shots. But I agree with that one, though who knows if we would have drafted Cook with Shady still playing well.
  10. I dunno, the Bears had a pretty strong season in 2018/2019. Trubs was playing well, they had a stifling defense led by Khalil Mack, Eddie Jackson, et al, and so on. The double-doink broke something on that team.
  11. Yup. I still am flummoxed that we didn't go for it on 4th and 5 too. Josh sure wanted it. We had some momentum.
  12. Milano is one of the only players on defense that actually has an impact my guy
  13. LMAOO no. Matt freaking Nagy is still coaching in Chicago. Adam freaking Gase got multiple terrible seasons. We are not firing McD one year after going to the AFCCG. No way. No how.
  14. I'm not sure how much of the adjustments are on Allen. I just don't see a lot of open underneath stuff, just the same old shotgun and everyone run deep. Did you notice how badly Josh wanted to go for it on 4th and 5? I am still stunned they put Bass out there.
  15. There are discussions on here that Beane is a terrible drafter, can't judge talent, etc. I am not really inclined to believe this. I think he's a great GM and am happy to have him. That said, I was thinking about what players are truly busts under his tenure. I think they are: Cody Ford: though he had a better day yesterday, a high second round pick needs to be a starter every week, not objectively the worst lineman on the team at times. Harrison Phillips: I'm not sure how much that ACL tear did, but he's been awful. There are multiple videos of him being tossed like a ragdoll yesterday by the Colts' offensive line. Zack Moss: it's time to write Moss off. He might be a decent goal line back, but he's way too slow to do anything else. He's the running back version of Reggie Ragland. I don't want to include Epenesa or Oliver here because they HAVE contributed plenty already. Oliver in particular has come on this season; he's had about five sacks called back due to a penalty. My eye is on them, however. I don't include picks made after round 4 since those are often crapshoots. He's gotten good value in guys like Taron Johnson and Tyler Bass, though.
  16. Not sure if he's right but I would guess it's Vernon Butler and a couple other fringe signings. Some of the beat reporters were saying Butler was literally doing nothing against the Colts.
  17. You're right, IIRC Ford had the one random false start penalty.
  18. Very true, and I feel this is where player leadership needs to step up. Of course, McD can also help by parking players' asses on the bench when they do something stupid like roll into Wentz's knees after he threw the ball (looking at you Addison).
  19. KC, Baltimore and us were the 4th-6th most penalized teams in the league last season. It didn't affect success for either of those teams.
  20. I completely agree with this, but the catch is that there's no excitement anymore to be better. It's as if we could just walk back into the AFCCG and when it hasn't been easy there's been a leadership void to fire up the rest of the team, both on the coaching side and the players' side.
  21. There's no heart for many of the players. You can see heart and grit in guys like Poyer, Allen (usually), Diggs, Oliver, and (now) Spencer Brown. But look at others - Vernon Butler is completely useless and isn't even trying out there, Star is absent, Hughes is getting old, etc. Those guys aren't playing with any fire anymore. Remember the days of Jordan Phillips? Even if he wasn't a game wrecker, he and Shaq had swagger and heart. I miss that.
