  1. BYU is gonna get eaten alive now that they can't schedule all their games They will be a meddling B12 team even after Okl and UT move ... They will be behind OkSt.. TCU.. Kansas state , probably TTech and Baylor and Kansas lol They might be battling last place
  2. Maybe that was my motive lol it was a slow day
  3. No .. being born to a football family doesn't mean you will be great lol But having a father who IS REALLY RESPECTED in the game certainly gave him some insight and an ear to question.... You also forget to mention the part where he has been called an offensive guru .. super respected by the people he coached in College and the Pros .. Don Shula ,I'm not calling him ... But as Rodgers said .. what Peyton said was classless and out of line seeing as he has achieved success at the NFL level .. plenty of OCs couldn't come up with an offense to get Blake bortles 4000 yards and 35 TDs Turk schonert he is not either
  4. I'm not the only person in the world of football who would defend him lol I'm the only one who has enough guts to do it on this message board... Because it's not a popular take Whether or not it has worked out is hindsight... But when he was hired to Denver.. people around the league considered him an offensive guru... Born to a football family and born to eventually lead an NFL team You can find plenty of those quotes about Nathaniel Hackett over the last 15 years from writers pundits players and coaches... He was loved by players from Syracuse to buffalo to Jax and Green Bay... Aaron Rodgers called him a huge reason he went to New York He sucked as a head coach but Russell Wilson admitted he didn't give it his best shot
  5. Dont get @BADOLBILZstarted on moulds He will admit he was talented then tell you 15 reasons why playing with better QBs wouldn't have impacted him that much since he was already force fed and the focal point Josh Gordon syndrome ... You can put up insane stats with bad quarterbacks if they know how to get you the ball He averaged like 135 targets a year for 6-7 straight years and lost explosiveness with age He definitely had Hall of Fame talent but he needed a better start and finish to his career
  6. Nate Hackett had success with Kyle Orton in buffalo... He was stuck with one of the biggest busts in Bill's history with EJ Manuel Blake bortles threw for 35 touchdowns and 4,000 yards under his tutelage And he had success with Aaron Rodgers That's success with three different quarterbacks ranging from journeyman to out of the league to Hall of famer Certainly shouldn't be a head coach but he's definitely knows offense and is a very good QB coach and competent OC
  7. That's why Sean Peyton is getting crucified for being classless Even Aaron Rodgers called him insecure Coaches handle their grievances behind closed doors not in the press
  8. Sean Payton is obviously the better coach He also puts bounties on players heads Nathaniel may have flamed out as a head coach but at least he has class
  9. Hackett made it very evident that Payton broke the code of coaching fraternity and responded with 'I do' when asked the question. The Jets OC although said that he 'knew it (Payton's criticism) was coming.' Aaron Rodgers also had Hacketts back and called Peyton's comments insecure I think Nathaniel knew he didn't do a great job as the broncos head coach... Sean Payton is the classless one for disrespecting the fraternity of coaches and putting the dirty laundry in the open
  10. @eball @Not at the table Karlos And FYI good discussion and no hard feelings This is what discussion and debate is about
  11. To be fair you might have a anti-marrrone and hackett bias Yes he was not good as a head coach... But when Denver hired him there were literally articles and reports saying how he was born to be a natural leader in the NFL Denver thought it was going to work He had and still has a lot of respect in coaching circles In Buffalo he worked with the bum EJ Manuel. Actually made the offense work with the ghost of Kyle Orton Helped improve Blake bortles.. and had a good stint with Aaron Rodgers He's a good quarterback coach... Who has had some flashes as an offensive coordinator I absolutely don't think he's head coaching material We had EJ Manuel.. the offense was clicking with the ghost of Kyle Orton Who Hackett integrated into our offense in a week
  12. You also have to take what that coach said about Hackett with a grain of salt If coaches ever bad mouth another coach in public it's because there's bad blood... Because 98% of coaches will never say anything publicly Dorsey and Hackett are probably the same level ... Not a future star HC but can be a solid QB coach or OC I don't think Hackett is as bad as people make him out to be that's my only point... He literally worked with the bum EJ manual... And he made the offense run with the ghost of Kyle Orton... 250 ypg Then he helped Bortles , and did a good job with Rogers I think he's gotten a lot of flack for stuff that wasn't his fault here ... Marrone quit on us And yes for the last time I don't think Hackett is cut out to be an NFL head coach... But I do think he's a very good quarterback coach and a competent OC I like Dorsey I don't think he's bad... But I don't think he's head and shoulders above Hackett as a quarterback coach or offensive coordinator.. I think they're probably equals and Hackett has more experience
  13. I still would like to see Taron at the SAM I'm working right now but surely you should be able to find two clips of him playing SAM linebacker
  14. Don't have a hard on for him .. it's been my MO at the old message board and here to stick up for coaches as I still coach Coaches are a fraternity and we don't throw each other under the bus usually And I never said Nate was a genius... Never not once.. I said he's not as incompetent as half of this board makes him out to be And He knows more about football than everybody here That's it and that's all... He has success in the NFL on his resume he's not as bad as what people make him to be And he has a better resume than dorsey
  15. He had 23 touchdowns and 16 picks... Those are like Fitzpatrick numbers .. more TDs than Tyrod Taylor ... And he's not in the league anymore Next Season 21 touchdowns and 13 picks .. As bills fans we know there are way worse numbers to put up at quarterbacks than that lol That quarterback is out of the league and those numbers are not horrible... Because Hackett was able design an offense for him Literally people are making it out like I'm saying he's Vince Lombardi... I'm saying he's not the bum like half the board makes him out He knows more about football than everyone here No as a coach I stick up for coaches Because I know how hard it is and I can guarantee you Hackett isn't as bad as what the people make him out He has success in the NFL on his resume I also got crucified when I had David Culley back and called him a future head coach and nobody believed me But I have the pulse on the coaching in the league .. I know who's respected and not
  16. I don't think Dorsey sucks I'm saying Hackett is more proven... And Dorsey has an already made Superstar on his resume And I don't think either are hacks especially as coordinators or QB coaches
  17. I would like to see the snaps where taron Johnson is playing strong side linebacker and not Nickel back And yes Milano lines up in the nickel formation on the strong side majority but that is because he primarily covers TEs in man and it's easier setup.. naming purposes he's still a Will to the Mike like a classic 2 ILB system Milano has been playing the SAM in the 43 for a few years now
  18. Yes it did change in Jacksonville because he took a guy who's not in the NFL and helped him throw 35 touchdowns which would have been a record in Buffalo He's had success in the NFL and success with Aaron Rodgers.. He has wayyy more clout and respect in the NFL than Dorsey who got fired as QB coach of Carolina... Hackett earned promotions as QB coach of the jaguars ... Became OC and QB coach with Blake bortles Got a job working with Rodgers as OC. Excelled again .. then a HC where he failed with a QB who gave up He has successful stops at Jacksonville and GB as a OC and QB coach ... That's more than Dorsey who was fired and outta football after Carolina and Dorsey needs allen
  19. Sorry the talk of him here acts like he should be a high school coach or division 3 coach The dude since he was 20 something years old has been super highly regarded by most in the game of football And as accomplished more in the game than every single person here The same way people trashed David culley here.. who also became a head coach And I've spent time around both of them in the last 15 years and they know more about the game of football than every person here People trash them like he's their kids pop warner coach He coached Blake bortles to what would have been Buffalo bills records.. he's not a ***** bum .. which is why he keeps getting job At worst he has a much better resume than our own quarterback coach and OC and is a better quarterback coach than both I certainly think Hackett would do as good as Dorsey if not better as the offensive coordinator
  20. Again he helped take the jaguars to the playoffs Double duty OC and QB coach with Blake bortles where he threw for over 4000 yards and 35 TDs... In the NFL ... Not college lol That is better than our offensive coordinators resume Yeah marone left us after a winning season.. and now everybody is sour on his tenure Was Hackett perfect? No.. he got to work with a scrub EJ manual And we were competent with the ghost of Kyle Orton
  21. I'm a little confused by the wording in the bolded ... You use true nickel and then base... But generally your "base" defense is what you line up in the most So the Bills "base" defense the last few seasons is undoubtedly nickel .... Where there are 2 named linebackers ... MIKE AND WILL Now Milano always played the will in those situations but doesn't always line up weak side in nickel .. it's just a name .. he actually does line up strong side in nickel tons ... TE side Now if by base you mean our heavy 43 defense... Then yes when we went 43 it was Tremaine at MIKE , Milano at SAM and Dodson/klein at WILL But Taron Johnson isn't out there in the 43
  22. Considered Bust blake bortles had his best career years with Hackett as his QB coach and OC Went to a pro bowl and threw for over 4000 yards and 35 tds Bills fans would've went nuts for that before Allen emerged
  23. Without any emotions involved It's semi different because nobody cares how good she can walk.. she could be in a wheelchair and people would rally behind her... Nobody is hating her for being sick She's literally the second most important person in the bills organization and people want to know how she is Out of sight out of mind is one thing... But showing up to camp has to show she's in the right direction amd people generally wanna know how she is
  24. My guess is Harty will be our KR and PR specialist He also has an uncanny ability to track the deep ball .... I'm expecting some nice things .. IF he can stay healthy Great low key signing
  25. Well we only run 2 in the nickel so it's always Mike and Will But when they go 43 WHICH they might employ more of ... Milano has lined up at Sam for the last 2 years ... That would leave a potential spot for Williams in a heavy formation at Will
