Milano Watch - Practice Window Opening 11/13/24!
HappyDays replied to bills742's topic in The Stadium Wall
I didn't expect this to happen so early. Wonderful news. I guess we have to see if he's still the same player after a season and a half off the field, but he'll have basically a full month to ramp up for the playoffs. -
Seahawks release Tyrel Dodson - UPDATE claimed by Dolphins
HappyDays replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
He had a cap hit of $4.26M with Seattle, I'm not sure how much a team would owe to claim him but I think he will probably pass through waivers even if only half of that is passed on. If he passes through waivers this is an obvious move and we can just leave Spector on IR all year for all I care. -
This was suppose to be a rebuild year

Agreed. The roster if mostly healthy is good enough to win a Super Bowl. As usual it will come down to coaching and injuries. -
Yeah this was my least favorite pick of the draft, and that isn't hindsight it was what I said right after draft weekend. Safety is a cerebral position more than a physical one these days, especially in McDermott's defense. A 5th rounder and a 7th rounder together gave us an elite safety tandem. So I never supported drafting a safety that high. You draft players high because of their physical skills and that isn't what we needed at the position. Worse, Beane admitted he tried to trade up for him. Really just a poor evaluation of positional value. I'm not going to call Bishop a bust this early in his career, but if you're going to draft that position that high he needs to be a contributor early on. I don't even know what the path is to get him on the field moving forward because he plays Rapp's position, but we have Rapp under contract through 2026 and he has been playing pretty well overall. Very confusing resource allocation...

Hey now, Peterman did it all in just one half. Stop trying to diminish his historic achievement.

Haha that is insane. He skimmed the post twice.

They blew that forward progress stopped way too early. Every yard counts here

Dare I say this is turning into a Billsy loss for Houston
-
His shin was down inbounds before rolling out
-
Detroit is dangerously close to losing on a last second 50 yard FG
-
He's been short on almost every single throw this game, especially over the past few drives. Bizarre.
-
They kept Gibbs on ice to close out the game. 4D chess
-
How many obvious hits to a QB's helmet are officials going to miss this season? That's like 5 just in the last two weeks.
-
Goff's game tonight is very reminiscent of Purdy's in the Super Bowl. Every time he gets a whiff of pressure the ball falls short of its intended target.
-
Yeah nothing too fancy. They're playing the run first, doubling ASB, and daring Goff to beat them somewhere else.
-
Extremely impressed with Houston's run defense tonight. I didn't think anybody could shut down the Detroit rushing offense to this degree.
-
The Chiefs have only scored 30 points once this season
HappyDays replied to Buffalo03's topic in The Stadium Wall
They didn't and it was the right choice. The focus today had to be on shutting down Jonathan Taylor. The more that Flacco has the ball in his hands, the better. Still wish our four man pressure had made him uncomfortable way more often than they did. -
I guess every QB in the NFL decided to hand out early Christmas gifts today 🤷♂️
-
? We dialed up one deep shot to him in week 1, that was it. Other than that he was a decoy pulling coverage vertically.
-
Kind of surprised with how little the Lions have used Gibbs. I know Montgomery is more their bread and butter but Gibbs' breakaway speed hasn't been a factor at all.
-
Defenses play our offense a lot differently from how they play the Saints. Against the Saints they're playing closer to the LoS to make sure Kamara doesn't take over the game. Against us they are hanging back making sure Allen doesn't beat them deep... MVS couldn't produce with us for the same reason he couldn't produce with the Chiefs. He runs basically one route and it's the one route defenses are selling out to stop when they play Allen and Mahomes.

Figures that Goff would turn into Joe Flacco right when the Bills need him to win
-
Goff's problem is he can't deal with any kind of pressure. He's been protected extremely well this year so it hasn't come up much. It's a real problem though, trying to win a Super Bowl with a QB that can't throw from a muddy pocket. San Fran found that out in the Super Bowl too.

There's the infamous "replay assistance" that they only use in primetime games... What is the harm of using it in every game?
-
3rd and 10 and you just run up the middle? What a gutless call
