  1. This guy had the David Edwards signing a day before anyone else, but still take it with a grain of salt:
  2. My one area of skepticism with this whole thing is that Aaron Wilson's source is almost certainly Hopkins' agent. Aaron Wilson on Twitter is usually putting out contract details before they're announced by others which means agents are most likely his sources. It would be in Hopkins' agent's best interest to use the Bills purported interest as leverage to get other teams to increase their offers. I've seen the Bills used in that manner in the past.
  3. Good sleuthing, but Hopkins was in Dallas as of Thursday according to his IG, and there's an owners' meeting in Phoenix this weekend.
  4. The Jets are loading up, and also they might sign Ezekiel Elliott.
  5. He's a character/personality fit. He fills a need. He's been training with Luke Keuchly. That's why I think he would be our target in the 1st round. At this point we're not likely to find a like for like Edmunds replacement. So they'll have to modify the scheme to account for a MLB with less sideline to sideline range no matter what. Beane is dragging his feet, almost like he already knows he can find a MLB in the draft.
  6. I think if we trade for DeAndre Hopkins, Jack Campbell becomes the favorite for our 1st round pick. His fit with us makes too much sense. No one should complain if that happens. We'll have spent the entire free agency period up to that point upgrading the offense. We've signed zero defensive players.
  7. I agree with your order of preference but I'm not going to split hairs. I've said all along we need to acquire one of those WRs or the offseason is a failure. I won't complain if Hopkins is their choice. My guess is Beane really doesn't want to part with that 1st rounder. It appears that Hopkins can be had for relatively low-value draft capital. In that context I can understand it.
  8. That article is just a recap of the insiders that have said we're in on him, it isn't anything new.
  9. I'm disappointed by the lack of recipes in this thread.
  10. Where do you calculate the percentage to be at now?
  11. The way I look at it, we traded Devin Singletary for Damien Harris and a 3rd round pick. Who wouldn't take that trade?
  12. That base value nets us our 3rd round comp pick next year.
  13. Buffalo Solider is one of the most famous Bob Marley songs. It's most likely meaningless.
  14. Or, do what the Bengals did - accumulate skill position talent for your elite QB and fill in the offensive line. The Chiefs did the exact opposite. Both ways get you to the Super Bowl.
  15. Yeah he's not terrible, just underwhelming given his draft position. People wanting to just trade him for a 4th or whatever are crazy. The only reason I'd trade him is if we're using the trade as a way to acquire a difference maker on offense. We're unlikely to extend him next year so I'm fine letting him go a year early if it still improves our team overall in 2023.
  16. I would like them to acquire Jeudy, Hopkins, or OBJ, and then they can draft whoever they feel is the BPA at each pick. OL I would like them to spend more day two and three picks there. But in round one nobody should be surprised if we take another front 7 player. That's seemingly where the value will be at our spot and our pass rush was abysmal down the stretch last year.
  17. DL is ALWAYS a need, for every team. Filling four spots plus depth for more than one year at a time is impossible. Nobody should be surprised if Beane drafts DL early again. It has the highest potential production to rookie contract value other than QB. Just because Epenesa and Basham were bad picks and Oliver has been underwhelming doesn't mean you stop going back to that well.
  18. It's crazy to say but one move or lack thereof will be the difference between this offseason being by far the best of the Josh Allen era or being underwhelming. Get OBJ, Jeudy, or Hopkins and I don't even care what positions we take in the draft. Fail to do that and we are still lagging behind in the offensive arms race.
  19. My guess is he way overpriced himself given an extensive injury history and playing a non-premium position. Teams like the Bills moved on and found someone else, and then he was forced to take the best offer still available before he got locked out of the market entirely. I don't want to believe that the Bills intentionally chose McGovern over Seumalo for effectively the same price.
