  1. @GunnerBill at least your 2nd nightmare didn't come true
  2. When I watched his tape instead of reading reports and watching a single highlight video. That post was after my very first foray into the class. I spent an embarrassing amount of time watching tape of the top 8 or so guys.
  3. If not Franklin, I'm good with Amegadjie or Suamataia. Just say no to safety or one of the mediocre remaining edge rushers.
  4. Franklin is the only one left that makes sense in this round. Go up and get him.
  5. I've been worried about this for a while. Beane has done well so far though, I'll trust him not to do make a classic late 2nd round mistake.
  6. The Pats took the lesser version of him the very next pick.
  7. Maason Smith another huge reach. There's been a few this round.
  8. We're getting to the area where I would feel comfortable trading up for another WR, use one of our 2025 2nds if needed. Franklin and Mitchell still on the board.
  9. Ahahaha trading up for a RB. The Panthers really will never be good again.
  10. Guess the WR from Lance Zierlein's report: Strengths Good initial burst off the snap. Slippery working around traffic and redirection in space. Jab step gives separation from route stem more life. Naturally instinctive pass-catcher. Adjusts speeds to track throws and shield coverage. Makes twisting, twirling mid-air adjustments look easy. Ridiculous catch radius to help a quarterback out. Sharpened catch focus in 2019. Quick hands to stab anticipation throws coming out of breaks. Leaping and length carry him to the high point. Reliable from slot at making "gotta have it" catches to extend drives. Willing to do his part and give effort as slot blocker. Weaknesses Spread scheme threw field wide open for him. Needs more attention to detail with his routes. Too complacent to beat coverage with athletic ability. Unable to run away and separate from tight man. Size and strength across from him impede production. Will take time adjusting to press looks as a pro. Limited one-on-one prowess to win 50/50 throws. Separation talent just average outside. Ready?
  11. Specifically in the playoffs. I'm so sick of watching physical CBs bully our outside WRs in the playoffs. Coleman IS the bully. That's the skill set I wanted.
  12. Nobody in the NFL is running away from people consistently except for guys like Tyreek Hill. Diggs wasn't doing that. A WR's job is to create leverage at the catch point to open up a throwing window, then catch the ball, then make something happen with the ball in their hands if there's an opportunity. Coleman I believe can do all of that. And he's going to really work at his craft.
  13. Oh my God the Falcons are throwing this draft away. I'm actually laughing out loud.
  14. I'm a tad nervous because I've been pumping up Coleman as a great pick, and now if he sucks I'm gonna look stupid. But man his size and competitiveness and hands just get me really excited. Allen is a gunslinger. He just got his guy he can launch the ball to downfield 1v1.
  15. McDermott and Pegula are talking presumably to the prospect on the phone. We're sticking and picking.
  16. @YoloinOhio enjoying the presentation?
  17. Ran the fastest gauntlet time of any WR at the combine. I just don't care about the 40 time. He is a 2nd round prospect for me, not a 1st round prospect. I recognize his flaws. I am betting on his size and competitiveness and hands. All things considered I want to draft him plus one of the other 5ish WRs that are considered 2nd rounders. Bet on two to double our chances.
  18. Sorry but that's a lazy comparison. I respect people that don't like him as a prospect, but scout Keon Coleman, not Kelvin Benjamin. I also didn't like him as a prospect when I first read his profile. Then I watched all his snaps and I grew to really like him.
  19. Kelvin Benjamin was a good WR until he gave up on trying. But anyways Coleman is not the same prospect. He's more athletic and better with the ball in his hands.
  20. Keon Coleman is reportedly very high football character. He is motivated to do well in the NFL so he can provide for his family. He is definitely a character fit for us. Physically he has the tools that I know Beane would love. And he's young, just about to turn 21 in May.
  21. I would honestly rather trade a 2025 2nd than our 2024 3rd. It might be short sighted of me but I want three players from the top 100 this year, and we still have another 2025 2nd in the bag from the Diggs trade. My preference is Franklin/Coleman. But any one of these two is fine by me, preferably two that complement each other well: Franklin Coleman McConkey Polk Mitchell
