Silver linings with the Injuries?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not happy with where we are right now. Let me put that out there first so what I say doesn’t sound insane. We are old and slow on defense. Eventually one of two things has to happen here….we win the Super Bowl, or we start to get younger on defense. These injuries don’t help. There’s no possible way to be happy about your better players being out. The guys behind them are on the bench for a reason….The one nice thing is we might get younger and faster here. If this coach is smart enough to play 43/42, we are going to be scary fast at LB. We are going to have some growing pains but those guys run with their hair on fire and will make plays. Not saying Milano isn’t fast but Williams moves like an animal. I was very excited to see him run around out there but he eventually was benched. Give the kid a chance. Also on the backend, our secondary is old. A few younger guys back there might really give us a different dynamic. Guys with fresh legs might make a big difference against the better teams in the AFC. A lack of speed on the backend has really hurt us in the playoffs. An injection of youth back there might end up being a blessing in disguise. Poyer and White both were on the back 9 here, nobody wants to see it but having a few young guys get in there might close some passing windows. The interior Dlineman being out is unfortunate but we went out and got Ford. He’d be a guy we’d all be asking for in a trade right now, we already gave him here so it might be ok. Plus if there is 1 thing we have over invested in, it’s Dline. It’s almost too much. If we can’t absorb a loss in there, then we have team construction issues. -
I’m sure this is just going to be a Whitner pile on here but Prescott is the most overrated QB in the nfl. He’s not even close to good. He’s in that area of not horrible but nowhere near good enough to be set at QB. I’m surprised the Cowboys got tricked into paying this guy what they did. The best he ever was, was early on elite Zeke, mostly handing off but here and there play action strike game-manager. The guy was okay When he could still move a little. The dude is like Derrick Carr with less accuracy. “Just a guy” with all sorts of unnecessary hype.

Bills signing Josh Norman - yes, seriously
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
It’s just not that difficult to trade for a guy. The Broncos are done. They are going to clean house. They have an all world CB on a rookie deal, you can solve your current and future problems at CB right now. Stop overvaluing draft picks. We barely ever hit on them anyway. Just sent a first to Denver for Surtain and stop trying to cheap out on a fringe Super Bowl roster. Go and win one for the first time in your history. Then next season you can completely blow it up and nobody will even be sobered up enough by then to care. -
Kincaid in concussion protocol, Knox has a wrist injury
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is why no game is a certainty. Everyone’s acting like the next 6 or 7 games are easy…at what point do these injuries make a team like the Giants dangerous to us? I mean, we already should know we just can’t ever be happy as Bills fans. The Miami game was showing us, we might be the best team in the league and then from the end of that game throughout now is reminding us that it doesn’t matter. Other teams fans talk about their luck like it’s inconceivable…nobody has it like us. All things considered, nobody has it the way we do. It’s so insane, it doesn’t seem real. -
Not using Sherfield more is aggravating. The guy is a monster with the ball in his hands. That’s the YAC we are missing we just don’t use personnel correctly

Milano/Jones BOTH require surgery; Per McDermott
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to BuffaloBillyG's topic in The Stadium Wall
Milano not being 100% out for the year is amazing. Thought it was done without question. Now at least there’s a tiny bit of hope. -
I always notice your name and obviously know you are coming at this board from a similar perspective as I am. I’m blown away with how people on WFAN and even the Giant fans themselves give this guy every excuse in the book. He holds onto the ball way too long. They have changed that Oline so many times over. They don’t all just suck. It’s Jones. He has no clue what he’s looking at pre snap and can’t process. I can’t believe they paid him what they did lol

Every year we talk about it and every year we do nothing important. I wouldn’t waste another minute, I’d call Denver tonight and say name your price for Surtain…we won’t do anything though and it’s a waste of a thread unfortunately

I mean neither one of them is anything to fear but I think Jones is horrendous. At least Tyrod will get rid of the ball

I just want to see us beat the Giants here. I agree get in and you never know..but I’m far from just assuming we are getting in. We lost to the Jaguars today and Miami isn’t losing to anyone anytime soon.
-
Looked better today than Jones. Look I live an hour away from MetLife. Deep in Giant territory…Jones is a disgrace. He’s one of the worst starting QBs I have ever seen. I’m not saying Tyrod is good but he’s better than Jones. Almost nobody is worse

The one thing I’ll say is home field doesn’t feel the same after we got the taste slapped out of our mouths at home last year. The bye would be nice but that’s not happening. Saying we will definitely make the playoffs is taking liberties here. Obviously it will be a disappointment if we don’t, but nothing is certain here. Got to go beat the Giants and see what’s what

James Cook has been good until today and Murray has been a nice surprise…but all along Harris is our best back. I’ll never expect the coaching staff to understand that but he’s the guy that should be getting Rb1 touches. He’s strong and fast. He was an absolute monster against us with NE. I was so happy when we signed him…now he rots on the bench while we run shotgun draws for 0.

I know one thing he looked disinterested on the sidelines. For all the shine this guy gets, I was expecting to see him getting guys fired up. The whole team looked DOA for 45 mins…would have been nice to see this dude contribute somehow. Like get off the bench and be one of the vocal leaders.

There are no excuses here. Should have found a way to win. I just never understood why we didn’t go early. Knowing the Jags were already there I’d have stayed all week. Our radio guys kept saying thats a disadvantage to the Jags…nobody goes there more than them. If they thought it was going to help, they would have come home. Obviously they knew more than us. That shouldn’t have had to be explained to anyone. They go 4x more than anyone. If there’s a model to follow, it was them.

Tyrod is better than Jones. I’d rather him be healthy

Roger Goodell said today's game was an experiment??
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Bubba Gump's topic in The Stadium Wall
It sucks that we were put in that position and losing key guys is going to have lingering effects. Still all these games count as 1. We have to find a way to get that one and we have to stop doing this to ourselves. The Chiefs don’t lose. You just can’t keep writing off games and seasons. No matter how bad KC looks, they finish those games. There are no ugly wins but you can’t lose games that you should have. Week 1 and today, losing either is terrible both is inexcusable -
What is Patrick Surtain Jr.'s Trade Value?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
That’s fine but you aren’t taking one in round 1 anyway. You got to take a swing here. Obviously offer Denver a 2nd bit if they push back, I’m cool with it. Plus it’s all what to do about nothing because deep down we know this is fan fiction. Never happening. Will just be calling up a scrub guy like Ingram then wondering why we can’t get off the field on 3rd down. Replace an A player with a fringe PS D- and think it’s working -
What is Patrick Surtain Jr.'s Trade Value?
Brianmoorman4jesus replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let’s be real, we all love Tre White but this is probably the end of him. This secondary has been amazing but they are old. I’d give a first for this guy without hesitation. Hopefully that pick is 32 anyway. Go get the new number 1 corner for as many years as possible. The guy we draft in the first won’t be as good as this guy anyway. There should be zero fear in doing that deal. -
Broncos absolutely have some pieces on that defense. I hope our plan isn’t next man up across the board. We lost All pros. The guys on the PS are not the same. Please trade for a guy like Surtain. Our draft picks are much less valuable to us then to other teams. Most of them can’t even see the field. Go all in here while we still have s young Josh Allen. Win 1 superbowl then Deal with the fallout afterwards

Why was the offense so horrible for the first 40 mins of this game? The defense should have been what killed us. They lost player after player, had no rest and was just completely screwed over all day. The Defense kept us in it. Just like the Jet game, the offense killed us for too much of the game. How do we look so great at times then just so lost? It’s like contagious in 1 direction or the other. When it’s good, it’s great and when it’s bad it’s pitiful
