  1. Started looking at some veteran FA corners last night just to see what’s out there. This is going to suck but you can’t just throw away the whole season. Levi is pretty solid. I personally would take my chances moving Taron Johnson outside for the rest of the season. We already know he’s good and I can’t imagine finding anyone better at this stage of the season. I’d play Levi and Johnson on the outside and use Neal in the slot. There are a few guys you can sign that have been decent in the past but nobody overly impressive. Obviously still hope for the best with Tre but you can’t just say the season is over. There are still a lot of really good players on this defense. Certainly more then most if not all of the other AFC teams.
  2. Idc what the saints situation is, we needed that. Build off it, hope the Titans beat NE, hope for the best with tre and get healthy with 11 days off.
  3. I’m going to jump to a “what if” worse case scenario…..say: we lose tre for 21’ is our fastest route to normalcy on defense moving Taron Johnson outside and playing Neal in the slot? I know he’s great inside and you don’t want to mess with that, but he’s probably the best chance at replacing White with a GOOD corner.
  4. Hope to see Dane step up here. I liked him when he’s gotten a shot, albeit limited time. This is his shot. Make us proud
  5. He wasn’t even throwing it to the guy I'm talking about. Yeah I saw it. He should have gotten the ball out faster to the guy that was open rather then throw it where he tried to throw it.
  6. Did you not see sanders streaking wide open on the crossing route in the middle of the field or?
  7. Guy was wide ***** open in the middle. Last year was a perfect storm. This team needs balance. We are not getting anywhere near the passing efficiency we got last year. Missing wide open guys, making big mistakes, wasting opportunities. 2019 josh is probably closer to what he really is. That’s not even a terrible thing. You just have to recalibrate the thought process of constantly passing the ball.
  8. Is it a good sign that Tre is only doubtful for a return here? I feel like if it was catastrophic, he’d absolutely already be out here
  9. All of a sudden it looks like Ed Oliver might be a guy out there. Really having a nice season after blending in the last 2 years
  10. Douglas actually looked like he might have hammered someone on that play. Maybe we will accidentally luck into an Olineman that can play eventually. Other then Brown obviously
  11. Of course. Finally get Bates in and now he’s hurt
  12. Get back under center with blocking help
  13. Stay with the plan on offense. Do not bail on the balance. That drive should be us every drive. We have the horses. Don’t let Dabol ruin it with the constant 1 dimensional empty gun
  14. The next 2 games are probably going to decide this season. 2-0 I like our shot at the division. 1-1, maybe wildcard. 0-2 missing the playoffs
  15. I say, sending a message of change. Make Moss inactive. If pass protection all of a sudden starts to be an unavoidable issue (which I don’t expect) then put Gilliam back there. There’s no way any back we have is a better blocker then he is and he can catch the ball out of the backfield.
  16. Probably because most teams don’t just completely ignore the passing game on purpose for entire months at a time. To where it would be necessary to establish it. Maybe in the 70s they did.
  17. Just establish the run. Change this identity. Show teams you are willing to get dirty. Show teams we have a second pitch when the fastball is being caught up to. Show teams we aren’t 1 note. Go out there and win a different way and recreate the identity of this team. As a team that can beat you anyway they have to.
  18. Half of me wishes this game was 40 min from now and half of me wishes it was 40 days from now
  19. I have no clue what to expect from this team anymore but regardless of Saints current condition, I’d be thrilled with a win. There will be no concern on style points or excuses. We need a win terribly. And if we get it, I’m going to be very pleased. The Jets win was what to do about nothing….this is different. Need to stop the bleeding now
  20. I want to see this team just give the main RB role to Singletary. He’s earned that. Then spell him with Brieda. Nice Brieda around a little, throw it to him. Maybe use them both at the same time in situations. Just stop with the Moss. Go 80/20 26-22.
  21. IMO, Singletary doesn’t scare me anymore in pass protection. I feel like it’s to the point where it’s not enough reason to get Moss on the field.
  22. I was in on Moss and starting to maybe even shift to wanting him to be the 1, but lately he looks super slow and I just have no reason to see him touch the ball again. Singletary was my favorite player in his rookie year and last year he really disappointed me…but he’s the best guy we have. The constant RB rotation is asinine. Stop bringing in a guy that is just killing our momentum. Pick a guy and let him get into the flow of the game. And that guy needs to be 26. If it’s Brieda I could live with it because I don’t know what he will do. But no more Moss. Just no more.
  23. There is a lot to that and if you want me to go through each of the games I’m talking about I can. It’s nowhere near dumb. Thinking our offense isn’t struggling is incredibly short sighted. This team struggled for on offense in at least 2/3 playoff games. Then had issues against Pit, Jacksonville, Indy, Miami in the 2nd game. There are issues here. Those averages get skewed by the destruction of some terrible teams. There is still production but it’s not running as smooth as it was for the majority of last season. There are issues here. Since the bye our offense has struggled. It was strong in the 2nd half of the Jet game and other then that, has been not clicking. This offense is 1 dimensional. Not every team is capable of making us pay for that. The ones that are, can give us fits. The time to adjust is now. While there is still a season to save. And what you said isn’t even true. Week 1 they didn’t score 26. They scored 6 against the jags. And did nothing last week
