I agree Dennison was not the preferrable OC. Mike McCoy would be an awesome choice. And this offense's troubles are on Dennison. I saw how much this offense struggled in pre-season. I was hoping Dennison would unveil something that suits Tyrod's game much better, the way Roman did. Hasn't seen it. Dennison has a system. And his system QB is quick release fast processing guys like Trevor Siemian. Tom Brady. Jimmy G. Nate Peterman. Unless you have one of those, it will look like Bison Dung.

No I don't think it's a mirage. This is a top 5/top10 D easy. Yes #2 is a bit over rated but they're up top. D line and linebackers are very good, while secondary is a bit suspect atm that'll bring them back to the high single digits. Yes I think the next two games will be a test of this defense's endurance because if our offense can't stay on like they did in Carolina they will be gassed by half time. And that isn't due to the talent but because our offense can't stay on the frickin field!

GUYS GUYS! There's a 2 year plan in place. Year 1: fix the D. Water down the Offense. So while D looks playoff ready, offense can hardly muster a semi. That keeps us on the wrong end of close games. Keeps fans interested as we tank.... Year 2: PLAYOFFS!!!!! CONTENDERS!!!!!!!!!! SUPERBOWL!!!!!!!!!

He's just trying to cheer up the team. Players need both - someone who disciplines AND encourages. Both carrot and stick.

Peterman would have fit a game plan against this D better. Peterman is a fast decision maker, super quick release. He'd have gotten the ball out quick for all of those short throws the game plan called for, and more accurately. After seeing Dennison's offense last year with Siemian, and reading analyses about Dennison's offense, I can't help but think Peterman was made for this offensive system. And given the kind of defenses in the NFL, Peterman's quick reads and quick release will help with pass rush or finding small holes in the zone defenses.

He's a tough kid. He can make all the throws. And he can RUN too. If Tyrod is good enough, he's better.
