Last years offense sucked so whats the difference? Last years numbers on offense were misleading(ppg in particular). 19 ppg on the road. I didnt look up the 3rd down percentage last year because Im working but Im pretty sure it was garbage. Being number 1 in rushing does not win games in the nfl. Sick of hearing how the offense was so good last year. They were garbage, couldnt stay on the field and they are garbage and cant stay on the field this year.

Tim Hortons donuts taste like they forgot an ingredient. Very bland. As said up thread, the lids on their coffee cups suck. Also the coffee is usually 700 degrees and you have to triple cup it just to hold it. Dunkin is the winner. Hint if you like cream and sugar....only ask for cream at DD. Then add the sugar by packet yourself. That way they dont put 7lbs of sugar in your coffee.

Yea that still doenst say hes been hired. Its just a report from the guy who tweeted that they were finalizing at 7pm. I find it strange there hasnt been an official announcement from Denver a full 13 hrs later. For a coordinator. These things tend to get done much quicker than that.

Still not seeing anything that says McCoy ways hired by Denver. 1 tweet from some guy at 7pm saying "finalizing". Then crickets. On top of that, thatbtweet didnt get any momentum till almost 10pm. Unless I missed something McCoy to Denver isnt official yet. Most reports of finalizing dont go into the next day before you here of the hiring especially for an OC. It may look like its happening but it hasnt yet

So basically a good contingency of players acted like babies because they didnt like the scheme and liked the old one better so they decided to not be "all in" yet its all rexs fault the defense sucked. Look, rex earned his firing. No question. 10 men on the field, challenges that make no sense, the punt in OT. Stuff like that has been goin on since he has been here. But this narrative that he destroyed some great defense single handedly is a bunch of crap. These players acted like a bunch of female dogs since the day the scheme changed. It wasnt a great defense in 2014 anyway. I dont care about what number defense they were. They folded like a deck of cards when the playoffs were on the line too. These olayers trashed this defense just as much as rex. Get over it.

I hate the Idea of starting over. I think its a huge mistake regardless of coaching problems. Also, when you constantly have 2 guys in the backfield in position to make tackles behind the line and the guy still rips off 60 yard runs then scheme isnt the problem. Tackling is. Thats fair, whats not fair is to ignore the production he got out of mario williams spot this year. Something people were all over rex for last year. The guy can coach. There is evidence. The safety position, yea rex deserves some blame there but so does the gm. I blame dareus more than anyone for this defenses performance this year. His suspension derailed everything.

Thats the connection I made as soon as I hear the report before the pittsburgh game. It just screams lets fire rex to make sure we sell.tickets next year. Which is why I go straight to brandon when I think of who should go.

To me it just seems like at the time of the report from lancanfora, rex seemed pretty unmarketable for next season. Considering a majority of fans were calling for rex to be fired. Mario throwing a fit and dareus out for half the season arent on rex. Thats a huge difference between now and 2014. Also, dareus last season was a prob bowler. Hard to say he regressed under rex. Rex also got 12 sacks out of marios position this year so far with 3 games to go. Aaron williams injury didnt help but ill go ahead and toss some blame on rex there for counting on williams for this season. Still top safety out for basically 2 seasons. This has been nowhere near the same defense schwartz had to work with.

Youre not wrong. The issue is that he is even in the room. Thats what I think most people have a problem with. He could be eating cheetos in the corner and he should still be shown the door. Perception is everything and regardless of whether or not he has actual input or even gives it, is irrelevent at this point after 17 years. I mean, he is litterally a failed gm of this very team still sitting in on meetings after how many years. The perception that gives off is not a good one. His motives for ticket sales make that perception even worse.

Well we agree on the leaks and rex should stay. Although I feel the leaks are russ. Berchtold is an interesting thought though. I think that because russ is marketing genius that has been in charge of ticket sales give him more motive to leak things. Get the fan base on board for a regime change. I will say that berchtold is an intriguing figure. I find it weird that he basically babysits all press conferences. But thats a whole other thread.
