  1. So, knowing that all second round picks are not created equal what tackles drafted after Kouandjio have made an impact in the NFL, and when were they drafted? I'm not an NFLnik so I am genuinely interested in the answer to this question. So, a swing tackle is not an important position on an NFL team, relatively. Then, why do you not want to see this bust cut yesterday? Do you not think that perhaps your definition of the word is a bit too limiting? Most people, I believe, consider a bust a done deal. If you are a bust today you are a bust tomorrow. Others will correct me if I'm off base here (in their opinions). To you, it appears, a bust is a "living, breathing" kind of thing. You can be a bust today, but a solid contributor tomorrow. Am I wrong here?
  2. He's just not very good, I wish he were, but...
  3. What % of second round draft picks end up making an impact in the NFL? Would you consider the "swing tackle" role to be an important one on a football team?
  4. But, when is the decision made (literally)? And, since in your definition he is a bust, and since he does not negatively affect the cap; he should be cut?
  5. I am man enough to be able to label another man as insanely handsome.
  6. I don't want some wiki definition, I want to know what a bust is in your words, please. Because most people would label a football player a bust after it was decided that he had nothing to offer on the field. It seems, to me, that you may be omitting the word potential from your blanket statement. Could that be true?
  7. My initial thought too, but, maybe the tie in with Richt's daughter was the thing that it took to get him to open up?
  8. Not at all. You have labeled him a bust. What I'm trying to find out is what the word means to you.
  9. I know, right? I mean, Tom has the chin dimple and he gets points for that, but, Jimmy is hawt!
  10. But, he is a bust and has nothing to contribute to the team?
  11. I follow hockey, but not like I do football. I'd liken the Vesey signing to the Brian Bosworth supplemental draft. Has there been such buildup surrounding a college hockey player before?
  12. He's a running back. He could come in off the street and start the next game if needed. Will he know the nuances of the offenses? No. Will he know the blitz pickups? No. Will he understand what to do on running plays? Yes. Is he suspended for 4 games? Yes. He's got plenty of time to learn an offense. Will he get picked up immediately? If I was an NFL GM I wouldn't take him mostly because of the points I make above. I'd wait until the end of the suspension to see what he looks like (weight etc.).
  13. You forgot to mention the unfortunate circumstances that have come into play in game 4. Rather than play an injured brady (who couldn't even play in week 2) we will have to face a healthy, younger and much more handsome QB in Garafolo. Another instance of the schedule makers playing a cruel trick on our Bills.
  14. The NFL really screwed the pooch with moving touchbacks to the 25 didn't they? I'm not a very smart person, but my first thought after it was announced was "watch out for higher kicks that drop in just short of the goal line." OK, maybe it wasn't my first thought, but, it was an early thought. So much for removing collisions from the game as was the NFL's intent.
  15. What did Gay do? Overall I'd say he helped himself with the KO's, especially the one that dropped in at about the 25(?). He proved that he can't be a scoring kicker, but, hopefully we don't need him for those duties. NFLN did show one replay (Bills feed) but it was from behind. If it was a regular season game that would be one to challenge...still wish Rex had.
  16. The sideline catch that looked good to me, but others said the first foot (right) landed on the chalk (check the game thread if interested) and the one in the EZ that was correctly ruled incomplete because everyone knows what a catch is except the NFL.
  17. We do know that his name is Cris Collinsworth, don't we?
  18. The proof is in the puddin Estelle. Until the games are real and until the team and coaches show that they are able to sustain success then you can color me doubtful. I really like much of what I saw yesterday, but, still skeptical.
  19. Agree. Good & bad, overall better than OK in my book. One play in particular he checked down much too quickly, others he let plays develop and went through progressions. I'd put Tyrod on the helped list. I know that he is the unquestioned starter, but, to me, he played very well. If that continues the offense will not be a problem. What about Felton in the hurt list? Why carry him on the final roster?
