I find stats useless, but, if you're going to present them at least do so in a consistent manner. Group the QB's by era. Put Kemp with his contemporaries and Fergy with his. Then explain your logic. Numbers for numbers sake which is what you're providing is a waste of everyone's time. I'm interested in Terry Bradshaw. What's his #? Fran Tarkenton? Phil Simms? (or are they not franchise QB's to you?) Do you think it's wise to base a QB's worthiness on a single stat or do you have more?

If you're going to toss out stats at least have the common sense to also toss out stats from QBs of the same era(s). Your numbers mean nothing as they stand.

I'm not a huge fan of the bacon. I like it occasionally with eggs, but beyond that not so much. I find that it overpowers whatever it is paired with. If I have a burger I want to taste the burger, not bacon. Can we replace the bacon option with something else?

Exactly. Their last WS title was 1989...that's quite some time ago. They are going for it (WS title, anything less is failure) while the Bills FO is in desperation mode. They and the coaches are fighting for their jobs (or future jobs in the league) knowing that a new owner will be announced before the start of the 2015 season. To this FO "going for it" means playoffs. I'm OK with that given what's gone on since 1/8/00. If I were a Bengals fan would I be happy with annual 1st round failures? Nope...expectations rise and while making it might once have meant playoffs those fans have moved past that, they want more. I would think that A's fans want more and wouldn't criticize a move intended to bring them a WS title. (at least prior to the end of the A's season) They traded away prospects for immediate help. I can't fault that logic.
