You are (should be) bringing in 2 vets to battle it out with EJ. You have OTAs, extra session because RomanRex is new, conditioning etc. You could cut one before camp if you're worried about snaps. Talent at the position is woefully thin......don't make it thinner by cutting someone before you have to. Don't make it thinner before the draft which may tie your hands and force you to pick someone early because you have to (see Manuel, EJ).

Every QB available or likely to be available is an NFL backup. That's how bad the situation is for this team. All the more reason to keep all the talent you have/can acquire. You don't know until you know and there's no way RomanRex knows what they need to about EJ and the QB position as a whole for the team at this time.

The best are determined by head to head competition. Just like last off season was BS because no competition was brought in, this will be BS if Manuel is cut before being able to take part in a competition among what appears to be limited competition.

If evaluations are complete then they are complete BS. There is no benefit to cutting Manuel at this time. (if there are, please provide them)

Rex is in charge of the roster, correct? EJ is on the roster, correct? Rex has not coached EJ one minute, correct? How has RexRoman evaluated EJ? Film? Gimme a break, you don't know until you see how he responds to YOUR coaching YOURSELF. The former regime's beliefs? If you took over a company would you fire a once, very recently, highly regarded employee based on his evals or would you want to see for yourself?
