  1. Lucky for us you're wise to this and willing to point it out to the rest of us. Rex Ryan has ruined a perfectly (very) good defense. If you believe that he told the Pegulas and that he'd completely overhaul that 2014 defense I have a bridge to sell you. Ruined it. Now we get another 3 year rebuild that will be cut short after the second year when the house is cleaned which will then be followed by another 3 year rebuild which will be cut short by.... I think you catch my drift.
  2. I think that Gay learned his lesson. What about you?
  3. really? So you would have sat out last years playoff game(s)? Cause this team would have been there with a slightly above average QB. (& Smith is that)
  4. I can't for the life of me figure out why they changed the rule in the first place. I linemen were taught to ignore movement by the defense. If they didn't it was a penalty. Now it's the exact opposite. At any movement they move and get a free 5 yards. Makes no sense to me. Why did the rule need fixing in the first place? Still & all...that was !@#$ing ridiculous yesterday.
  5. what about Easley? He's like a less talented SJ. Can we cut him too?
  6. i couldn't disagree more about your line comments. Most of the day he had a clean pocket. He killed consecutive drives with poor decisions. Unfortunately for us they were the 2 most important thrid downs of the game.
  7. I'm comfortably certain that I did.
  8. i drove 16 hours (round trip) for that crap G. What a disappointing game.
  9. What about Sanborn? I hate that !@#$!
  10. did Hocule give any explanation after the review? If he did you couldn't hear it in the stadium. To us it looked like the came back from break and just restarted the game. That's why the Philly fans had such a fit.
  11. try again using grown up words.
  12. I hope I have already witnessed it in Buffalo. Wish him well in his future endeavors etc etc etc.
  13. i literally got to your OP and replied then jumped to the last page. I apologize for not policing this thread because the little I've seen leads me to believe that you e been on the receiving end of some idiotic comments. Sorry about that. Often people here feel that belittling someone furthers their cause. How they don't see that they come off as complete jackasses is beyond my powers of comprehension. Then you get the pied piper effect and the ferrets get really brave because there's strength in numbers & all that crap. If I had more time I'd gladly spend a couple hours on this thread and hours on countless others trying to clean them up but I don't have that time right now. So, I'll shoot from the hip, so to speak, from now until things slow down for me. (those of you acting like asses here or in other threads can consider this a shot across your bow) Truth is there's plenty of blame to go around. It starts with ownership, trickles down to GM then coaches then players. IMO the higher you are on the food chain the more responsibility you bear.
  14. it has sucked. There appears (to me) to be a leadership vacuum on the team. You don't draft those and you rarely get them via FA. You gotta grow them yourself and that takes some time. I am so disappointed with the defense that Rex has led that I actually forget the holes that are on the offensive side of the ball. I don't know how quickly this lower level mediocre team can be fixed. We're different than we were but the result is the same. Sorry for rambling & not answering your post. Very frustrated with how this season unfolded.
  15. its not the only time & since you didn't seem to understand the post you quoted I thought I'd try to help you see through those rose colored glasses you wear. I could point to instances in each game. No one expects perfection (other than FC) but he needs to improve his game. Yesterday was one for the burn barrel.
  16. I'm late to this party, but, (& I think you can guess what direction this will take) an over the top bigger than life coach who is overly demonstrative is likely to beget players who are overly demonstrative. Overly demonstrative players are prone to be overly demonstrative which leads to errors in judgement. Rex needs to bring in a taskmaster this offseason and give him the authority to handle all of the day to day and game day stuff that Rex isn't interested in bothering with. That will allow Rex to bluster and have his fun while somebody else is keeping an eye on the barn door.
  17. Based on games. There were at least 2 times yesterday when he could have converted on third down by using his feet. Instead he threw the ball downfield for incompletions. He often makes the right choice, not always.
  18. yeah, the pierogies sucked me right in too.
  19. I'm already getting a penile transformutation so it would t be fair of me to accept anything else.
  20. All y'all's are making him feel well...you know... Anyhow, knowing how much you each love and respect NG I'm hoping that you use this thread to send some positive energy his way during this Holiday Season. Please take a moment to let him know how important he is to the TBD family and maybe, just maybe, we can get the ol' groundhog to poke his head out of his burrow and smell what TBD has to offer. Thank you for your continued support. Fergy a go fund me campaign is in order if you so desire. (Or even a potluck w 50/50 raffle) Tom...if you could consult your Himalayan Prayer Flags please let us know what else can be done to save the soul of NG. If anyone else has ideas please post them here & remember, post your positive thoughts regarding NG.
  21. That would be screwy Louie.
  22. Tennessee actually.
