  1. Seems he has put a TON of work in by his own accounts.
  2. A bit weird at this point as Morse doesn't have a BU with Feliciano hurt and Long Cut.
  3. Looks like Pierce used it in his analysis to play or opt out
  4. This is interesting to me, how can the league just "pause" a teams season. Do that mean every game scheduled will be moved, or every game they cannot play they forfeit?
  5. So How can this work???? How can you just "pause" a teams season??? Will they be forced to Forfeit all the games that they cannot play (as their season is paused)?
  6. How do you just Pause ONE TEAMs season? How will they handle that, forfeit all games they cannot play?
  7. I think me I am a bit of a gambler. I think I would keep my contract and not opt our to hope that I can get a year toward UFA without having to play an entire season, Specially if I was paid once and have money in the bank.
  8. that is benefit as well. Say a rookie on a 5th year option. Gets 2 games and season Cancelled. Boom a UFA with no Miles
  9. Shift it to the left a year. Never-mind looks like SPOTRAC shifted it already.
  10. easy to do for guys that have been paid harder for those on the rookie deals and 1 year deals. That is why I have been thinking this season is going to look very much like the Strike Year. Or Preseason specially if a big name opts out. Imagine the ripple effect a Mahomes opt out would cause.
  11. Yes they do. If they opt out and season cancelled nothing hurts their contract. It just slides to the left a year. so let’s say Star contract expired in 2022. Now with his opt out it expires 2023 even with a cancelled season.
  12. you should opt out. Because if season cancels you are not getting that guarantee. That is what Feliciano is saying. Big guaranteed players are incentivized to opt out. Keeping their contracts fully in place. owners wanted a trigger to cancel the guaranteed money in a cancelled season. They got it. Players got the ability to opt out of the 2020 season as a concession
  13. NFL Owners wanted to have the ability to cancel money this year. They got it. Now it also allows players to also game the system and make sure to protect their earning power. If a player Opts out his contract is Paused. Meaning in a cancelled season nothing happens to his contract. guy plays his 2020 portion of the contract goes away if season cancelled.
  14. Also to think about with these players. Say player A set to make 17M this season. season Cancels after 3 weeks. Player A pockets 3M only. Loses 14M. 2021 contract goes into affect in 2021. same player opts out and season Cancels after 3 weeks. He still can earn the entire 17M in 2021 as the contract slides. A year.
  15. Ok let me try it this way. say player A has 10M guaranteed for 2020. Now doesn’t opt out. Season Cancels buh bye 10M for 2020. but his 2021 contract remains. now if he opts out (pauses the contract) means no contract this year so 2020 becomes 2021. 2021 contract moves to 2022. they keep their entire contract with an opt out. In a cancelled or shortened season. Compared to not getting the full 17 game checks and such if the season is cancelled or shortened.
  16. The 2020 contract and its 10M guaranteed money goes into 2021. 2021 Contract into 2022. Etc etc. essentially you pause the contract. You get an accrued season for benefits reasons but not against contract.
  17. Guaranteed Money that is due to be paid this year gets to get wiped out with a season Cancelled. So those with big guaranteed money payouts Mango is saying they likely will OPT Out to keep all guaranteed money for 2020 rolled into 2021.
  18. When have any of these players from all these teams ever been on the cannot pass the camp physical list. It is very interesting to me to say the least at this point.
  19. I am starting to see a Bit of trend with the early list.. Alot of BIG GUYs on the list (12 OL/DL) and Obesity is a area to look out for with COVID.
  20. What is very interesting to me so far is by looking at the opt outs. Alot of "Big Guys" I wonder if the weight of them is also helping with deciding knowing obesity is a area to be concerned about with COVID with 12 of the early list being the big guys
  21. First Bill. Star Opts Out
