I get it. I really do. but you have been watching this game as long if not longer than I have. you already know how this will play out and it isn’t going to include a McD firing unless MAYBE they end sub .500 by a lot. Like a 5-12

No “I quit the Bills” threads on TBD!? I am shocked!
MAJBobby replied to ShakAttack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still watch them. But I made a conscious decision near the end of the drought to stop allowing something I am supposed to be doing for fun make me feel so miserable. took about two full years to get there. But I am there now. The NFL Hubris in failing to address their yearly bad product like officials helped speed that along a bit as well. -

There are issues from the ownership group down. that is the reality. While I am trying not to hammer Terry too much with everything he has going on with Kim and well PSE turning into a brothel starts there and that chose has bled down into both his teams. -
Yeah he can be. Won’t be though just watch. I am almost willing to bet they use his base for cap space and kick the can down the road. will say well he was never fully healthy.

McDermott isn’t going anywhere (unfortunately). This script has been seen so many times in the NFL. 1. Going to point to the performance of the mash unit Defense (though there is actual quality depth on that side of the ball with the money and assets spent) 2. Going to Blame the regression in offense and Dorsey gets canned as the sacrificial (rightly) lamb 3. They will come back in 2024 with roughly the same roster and some added players via draft likely on the defensive side of the ball. 4. McD buys himself time. Like every failed HC that had some success with playoff appearances.

Invisible yet again. so glad we are locking into him for at least another year

Always a Fan. And to be honest the Hubris of the NFL and ignoring their product (officials et al) has made the transition to decouple much easier. Agree. I have been low key entertained watching the Lions. Such a fun team to watch. -
Dan Orlovsky….. Bills offense is fundamentally broken
MAJBobby replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I also want to pile on some more. There is ZERO creativity in this offense. We have a play caller at best. Not an Offensive Coordinator. do the right thing Terry find me a young innovative offensive minded head coach like the McD in Miami. ooo also Beane then SUPPORT that offense and QB once again like MIA with Tua -
Fine he wants to be DC. make it easy for him Terry Hore a HV and demote him
-
Good news is we won’t be seeing McSd out coached in prime time soon enough. 1Pm games with the Z coverage teams incoming in 2024.

Nope. The reality is the message is stale. And the ONLY unit that has any sense of depth built into it was the defense as they really prioritize that unit. however typically when your depth on defense is playing meaningful snaps your Special teams tends to suffer. the offense IMO has regressed because OF McD meddling and getting his Yes man in Dorsey.

Nope only watch Manning Cast without the Bills. Though I should have another turnover machine was talking. maybe Josh should call Eli and figure out even with all the turnovers what it takes to win a couple SBs

I am numb to this team. Looks like the drought teams. I have learned over the years not to get so mentally and emotionally invested into entertainment. Including Bills football. -
Can someone explain to me why we spend all these assets and cash on the DL only to run ineffective blitzes at key times? you DL was getting pressure without the blitz isn’t that the goal? by not blitzing wouldn’t that have been useful to help with a spy and the banged up Defensive Backfield?

Need to win 6 of 7 and that loss can reslly only go to a NFC team. you do that 11 wins and you get in playoffs

While Dan sometimes lets his wants get in the way of his breakdowns and why I like Baldys more. the Statement he made is absolutely true. Why do you run Pre-Snap Motion if you are not going to use the information provided to you during that motion. far to often have I seen the pre-snap motion and no adjustment in the route/play/concept based off the information gained on that motion. -
They all do. Again you let your next Offensive Minded (hopefully) Head Coach make the decision on Josh. It really isn’t that hard

Old saying: “Teams are a reflection of their COACH”
MAJBobby replied to WinterSoldier17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is another thing on McD that likely is helping losing the locker room. Cook loses the football fighting for extra yards and gets benched. (FINE) Gabe Davis runs wrong routes, cannot catch balls in his hands leading to Picks. Invisible for weeks on end - Loses no snaps. Phillips makes a bone head dumb penalty - loses no snaps von Miller misses tackles - loses no snaps (well only plays what 10). PLAYERS see that -
Why doesn’t he seem coachable? Because he has completely changed out he plays the position for the OC and McD? I can point to many Franchise QBs that lost the football games so that is nothing more than hyperbole

Old saying: “Teams are a reflection of their COACH”
MAJBobby replied to WinterSoldier17's topic in The Stadium Wall
Here is my take on McD 1. His in game flaws never have improved they still are there with the poor in game decisions in game management 2. He got what he was asking for since he has been here. A basic boring offense. 3. Makes every decision in his mind based on what is best for the defense. Those and his other flaws are well known. However the team ALWAYS has played disciplined football with him as a coach. They have always came out ready to play for him as a coach. Ever since Damar went down something broke that was the turning point. While McD as a person was probably the best person to lead this team through all the tragedy last year off field and on. That also seem to have broken something when Damar went down. maybe that something is never going to get reported on but that moment something happened with the influence in the room. this team now still has ALL McD flaws (they are still there - like Josh’s). BUT this team is now undisciplined and making very basic mistakes that have not been seen during McD. I see a football team tuning out the coaches message at this point. that right there is enough to go in my opinion he has lost the locker room and it started when Damar went down to be honest. -
That contract is unmovable so you give your new offensive minded head coach a shot with him. He is light years more talented that a Goff and look what coaching has done for him. I can say the same for Stafford
-
My solution would be Fire the HC and entire Offensive Staff. defensive position group coaches can stay pending an evaluation from your new Offensive minded coach. That coach then makes the decision on Allen. I am not forcing Allen on a coach. But there are enough coaches that will love to coach him. Allen is salvageable In my opinion. And if he isn’t you eventually will get a top pick to get a new one
-
So where in my post did I not put a heaping serving of blame for where we are on the QB? I have been a pretty harsh critic of Josh this year take a lot of heat about it. But it is what it is. The guy cannot do basic stuff at this point. Even in this very basic offense.

The regression of this team since the Championship Loss cannot be ignored. 2020 - lost in Championship Game 2021 - Lost in Divisional game 13 seconds 2022 - lost by 17 at home in Divisional Game. 2023 - 5-5 The “Process” is stale and unfortunately I don’t see an easy way to solve this next year either with the Cap the Bills currently have. the team is Old, slow and the coaching is Stale. we are the Marvin Lewis Bengals of this era at this point. And yes while I am going to blame coaching right now. Josh REALLY can you finally improve on ball security. You have been in the league long enough to freaking go at least back to back games without a turnover. How about you end your ***** streak of what 6 games with a pick to start.
