  1. yeah, but chances aren't terrible that the SB comes down to StL vs NE.
  2. wow dude, that post drew me to your total posts. thats about 28 posts every single day since you joined. again.....WOOOOOOOOW! now put down that keyboard and go find yourself a woman. sorry, i just couldn't help it.
  3. i think some get it some don't depending where you live. i am in the city and get it. this station is pure brilliance. it has immediately joined my flipping rotation. i hope it remains part of the regular lineup and they're not gonna get me hooked and in a couple months tell me it's another $6.95 a month to keep it.
  4. OBVIOUSLY no receiver has 100% catchable balls thrown his way. but 44%???? i can't believe you would try to defend that. the fact that TD had to use a mulligan with the evans pick to make up for JR proves he's a bust. even if he suprises me next year and becomes an outstanding third reciever, that is not what the 36th overall pick should give you.
  5. this is BS!! who cares what he did in college. there hav been so many superstar college players who didn't have what it takes be nfl players. i won't list any cuz you know exactly the players i'm talking about. there are so many negatives that reed has PROVEN as an NFL player. reed drops balls. according to WR Rankings by Football Outsiders reed caught only 44% of the balls thrown to him this year. think up any excuse you want, that % sucks! reed doesn't make ANY plays. 2 TDs in 2 years, none this year. and he was supposedly known for his run after the catch ability. evans doesn't seem to have any problems finding the end zone. did reed make a catch for even ONE first down this year???? reed adds NOTHING to our offense when he is on the field. no leadership, no respect, he can't even be used as a decoy. i don't think i saw him make a block all year either. what is one positive that reed consistently adds to this offense...just one???
  6. he picked Ryan Diem (RT) in the 4th round and Rick DeMulling (LG) in the 7th round of the 2001 draft. both starters for one of the greatest offenses in the history of the NFL.
  7. you just described it yourself. polian is an incredible evaluator of talent, both players AND coaches. the fact that he was faced with what many would consider difficult chopices at the time (manning v leaf, edge v ricky) and he hit it out of the park both times. I would have every single bit of confidence in him going into any draft. he is the BEST in the league and has proven it time and time again. it;s not like he inherited teams with even some semblence of a foundation. the bills were junk when he got them, indy was a complete joke, and carolina didn't have even one player on their team. AMAZING!!!!
  8. five years ago this would have been a resounding YES. he is still a good kicker but he will probably only get worse over the next few years. he is 35 years old and while 35 for a kicker is more like 30 for any other player, his best years are still probably behind him. i would take him in a heartbeat over lindell but i would rather take a shot on a younger up and comer whose best years are ahead of him.
  9. Intersting info on that salary cap page. Looking at the Cap Hits, i'd say our biggest bargains this year were: Sam Adams $2,625,000 Chris Kelsay $723,750 Willis McGahee $1,416,500 Terrence McGee $482,500 Brian Moorman $692,857 Talk about bang for the buck.
  10. i use those terms because those are the terms used at the bargaining table. agents want "top 5 " money. franchise tag demands "top 5 money". transition tag demands "top 10" money. the "dollars and cents" changes every year. 5 years ago, 5 million/yr for a tackle was a lot. well guess what, that's not "top 5" money anymore so no one cares. its a relative term that basically means "enough money to realistically sign a starting free agent".
  11. ok, thanks for the link. these are the starters from that list. guys who jonas will be competing with around the league. LEFT Jonas Jennings Bills Orlando Pace Rams Walter Jones Seahawks Kevin Shaffer Falcons Tra Thomas Eagles RIGHT Brandon Gorin Patriots Kareem McKenzie Jets Oliver Ross Steelers Ryan Diem Colts Stockar McDougle Lions Floyd Womack Seahawks Victor Riley Saints the only left tackle that will probably be touchable is schaffer and i doubt we would want him anyway if atlanta is looking to upgrade. i can't imagine the others will be let go. now many of the RTs may be available. i don't know if they could handle LT. maybe someone else knows???? if mike williams is deemed ready to slide over to LT then this could be the list that we are intersted in. i couldn't guess the chances of their availablitlity. so the pickins right now appear to be pretty slim. this doesn't bode well for us keeping jonas. anybody know what teams will also be looking to upgrade their tackle positions?
  12. i want to get a better idea of what it's gonna take to keep jonas jennings. i'd love it if he stayed a Bill, but not if we have to pay him top 5 tackle money. some of you are great researchers and know where to go to get nfl info quick. could someone compile a list of left OTs around the league? i'm wondering what teams are locked into their current LTs (therfore will not be in the market for one) and what teams need one who also have the cap space to give them the contracts they normally demand? also, a list of the left OT free agents this offseason who will be competing with Jonas for those free agent dollars.
  13. i love the food network. i usually stop when i see rachel ray to see what she's making. i jsut can't stand her personality though. just too bubbly and it seems fake. she does have a great keester though.
  14. surreal life=one of my guilty pleasures. this should be a really funny season.
  15. hehe, i knew i'd catch hell for that. i love 'em, but it's still true.
  16. this isn't necessarily true. depending on the camera you can adjust the settings so that there isn't a wait time. i have a canon s30 and can set the preview time between shots from 0-4 seconds. when i set it to zero and turn off the lcd display, there is no wait time. it also has a feature to take multiple pictures at a time, up to 10 i believe. when this is set and the preview time is set to zero, i can take 10 digital shots in about 3 seconds. oh yeah, not only are canon cameras (IMO) the best, there is a great forum for canon users that caters to photography enthusiasts. pretty much any detail, technique, or feature of canon cameras are discussed here. it's been an incredible resource. similar to the Stadium Wall!!! http://photography-on-the.net/forum/
  17. do you have to drive back the same day or are you staying over night? if you have to make two 8hr drives in one day then i wouldn't even go if it was, ok i'll admit it, the bills in the superbowl! if you're staying over night then it might be worth it. personally i still wouldn't do it since the game is on tv and i have heard the atlanta atmosphere isn't that contagious. it's not the drive there, it's the drive back. even if the game is good, that drive back will suck. if it ends up to be a crappy game.........
  18. cool, i wil hopefully be looking forward to more updates and links from you as the info pours in.
  19. when i say trade, yes, i mean a sign and trade much like we did with peerless. the reason i don't think this is risky is because he's a 25 year old pro bowl qb. how can there not be a market for him? if we got the 23rd pick for peerless, then brees should warrant a top 15 selection. if they can't for whatever reason get something in return for him, then I would have no idea what to do. that would be a really tough spot for them.
  20. this is complete horsesh!t. TH may not be worth a first rounder anymore but a 5th??!! so what you are saying is TH after two 1400 seasons and sammy morris coming out of college are about on par, huh? PLEASE! TH could (if the circumstances were right) fetch a 2nd rounder, maybe even a high one. he should not and will not be traded for anything less than a high pick in the third round.
  21. sure you can. they probably would've last year if there were any takers, but, oh wait a minute...he sucked. brees gave them some leverage for a trade this year. that's all he did. he had one good season. SD still has not won a playoff game in over 10 years. they have a top 5 pick sitting on the bench. you GOTTA play that kid. he was picked that high for a reason. get all you can for brees, years from now i think that we'll all look back at this being his best season as a pro. why wait for him to come down to earth agian and stunt rivers development at the same time.
  22. it irks me that the decision to keep bledsoe as our starting qb will probably depend on JPL's readiness and not on bledsoe's ability (or lack thereof) to lead this team. the decision, in my mind, should depend on DB. if he doesn't have it (and he has proven time and time again that he doesn't) then he shouldn't be our qb and they should let JP develop, even if that means taking some lumps.
  23. HA HA HA!!! that's true, we'll see if he learned from that fiasco.
  24. no way you keep brees. he had a very good year. that's fine. who knows why he was able to turn it around, but that doesn't mean he's started a path to the hall of fame. the guy has been awful to mediocre in the past and has had one good year. if gates and LT weren't on that team i wonder how good he really would have been. sign and trade him is the way to go. there are lots of teams in the market for a young, "proven" qb. his value will never be higher and they already invested in rivers. brees playing well should do nothing but give them more in return for him. they could end up with three 1st rounders ths year. if they grab a WR mike williams and add some OL help, rivers should be just fine. if they resign him and keep him, what happens if he sucks it up again, they're f'd! if he plays well, they're still f'd (due to the payroll for 2 qbs)! if they get somethin in return and strengthen other areas of weakness, they're golden.
  25. i feel sorry for anyone who's offended by randy moss. was it stupid? yes. is it worthy of getting your panties in a bunch? no. i swear, everyone's acting like the guy really did pull his pants down. the reaction would be exactly the same as it has been had he actually done it. RIDICULOUS!!!!!
