  1. No one thinks Biden won because of his charm. The election was a referendum on Trump. The end. I worked at the polls. I've never seen so many people walk in and fill in one bubble on their ballot and leave. We had a lot of people--I mean a ton--who only voted for (I assume) president.
  2. Ceded control, no not yet. But the rise of the far left should be as concerning to Americans as the rise of the amoral Trumpists.
  3. I gave my speculation on IL. Thanksgiving is about to make things worse. I feel confident predicting that.
  4. AGAIN, read what I wrote. Better behavior from BOTH parties is what we need. The Dem tantrum in the last 4 years is very bad.
  5. I see you're back to tossing insults today. Your civility was nice while it lasted I guess. Let me repeat with bold what you just responded to. It's possible to live in a world where instead of assuming the worst about people, we give them the benefit of the doubt. This is not a lesson I impart from my high horse. It's something I struggle with every day.
  6. I have voted for 2 Democrats in my 7 presidential elections, including Biden in the last one. I'm right there with you on Trump.
  7. I don't think "Democrats" or "Republicans" are making deaths more likely. Fatalities are driven by at-risk people combined with behavior. I suspect IL has a lot of at-risk people who are getting exposed to more people...maybe older/ill health people who are indoors a lot. But that's pure speculation. I've never been one to say, "Hey look the red states now suck, hey the blue states lead in deaths." The reason people are dying is because they are at risk and/or can't distance well because of their jobs, life choices, or ignorance. I was talking to my father-in-law last night who was telling me how most of his clients (he's an accountant) are having big Thanksgivings. OK sure, it's America: We're all free to do what we want. Yet small gathering indoor transmission is being shown to be the #1 way people are getting Covid...and most of his clients are over 70. For them, celebrating Thanksgiving in a big indoor gather is a bad and ignorant decision that, this being America, they are free to make. But it's not good news for the pandemic.
  8. Social media has amplified the extremes. Who gets excited about a moderate?
  9. California has some of the biggest cities in America. It has large airports where lots of international travelers went through. How does it rank in deaths per capita? I'd say it's doing amazingly well.
  10. All_Pro, it’s hard to find the passionate middle by definition. It’s one of the challenges of the two party system our government is geared for that it can amplify the extremes.
  11. The Libertarian Party is a joke. Libertarian principles are not.
  12. What’s yours charity of choice? Again nothing douchey. If I don’t hear from you, I’ll donate the $200 to my go-to.
  13. This fantasy is nice but if you’re think picking an amoral man with no belief system is step one in convincing me that this is the new right, good luck. The right in the last four years lowered taxes and increased spending so color me skeptical that you are painting a dream already realized. The path forward to anything like the one you describe is to dump the extremes (Qanons and AOCs) and find reasonable people who can cut deals to move to anything like what you describe. Joining, not division, is needed.
  14. Vote certification in 3 battleground states in days. Trump attorneys: We cannot show you evidence because this is our opening statement after going 1-30 in our previous cases. Even Tucker is calling BS (and this joining the Deep State).
  15. And touching surfaces is not a high risk for Covid. The most compelling case for non N95 masks remains transmission not protection.
  16. “We are a nation of laws, not Tweets.” And press conferences.
  17. Do we have to reclassify Georgia now that the recount is done?
  18. Read the study. Don't quote the Tweet. No conclusion on spread. None.
  19. You are trying to make the case that Trump has the support of many objective unbiased attorneys. He doesn't. I will always be fine. But it's a bad moment for our country to have our president throwing ***** at the walls. We can and hopefully will do better in the future than repeating the last 4 years tantrum for both parties.
  20. Lame duck session shenanigans is a far cry from what's going on here. If there's evidence, it should be moving courts to take drastic action. Today, November 19, Trump's lawyers said they don't yet have evidence and that their press conference was an "opening statement." This after going 1-29 so far in courts and backing down from alleging fraud in court any time they are pressed, but continuing to say it in the media. If that doesn't sound like a circus with Rudy as carnival barker and Trump as PT Barnum, I don't know what does.
  21. Wood is not some objective attorney who regularly handles many other high profile matters. He is a conservative-activist. Representing conservative-interest clients in these cases is his bread and butter. It helps him greatly to be center stage in a case like this and if he doesn't need the $$, I'm sure he enjoys the spotlight. I assume Powell, though nowhere close to being as pedigreed, is the same. It's more telling how many people are not near these cases. Giuliani is in charge, and if he's driving, it's not a limo, it's a clown car.
  22. Please link to the evidence of multi-tens of thousands of fraudulent votes that need to be proven in court to overturn this election. I'll settle for 20,000. I'll be right here waiting.
  23. Aaaaaaaand...that study was only about protecting the wearer, not how the wearer protects others. Rudy will next be suing coroners for counting deaths wrong.
  24. Inviting MI lawmakers to the White House to help change the election results: Normal.
  25. And a judge, summarizing 4 of Rudy's affidavits, presumably 4 of the better ones since they made it to court (unlike most of Rudy's more outlandish claims in press conferences): He's probably just inviting them to the White House not on record, for a round of golf right? Nothing strange going on here at all.
