i've been threatened with deportation in taiwan when a few friends and i were caught for shooting bottle rockets off of a 10-20 story building

i wouldn't say "wrong" exactly when i visited kuala lumpur and jakarta in 1996, i met some of the nastiest people ever...they don't like you if you're not one of them (not even sure if it's muslim vs non muslim issue)...that simple i was there for a swim competition...my team captain got into a cab and handed the cabbie a piece of paper with his housing address...the cab driver took it, started cursing and set the piece of paper on fire IN HIS CAB with a lighter...my team captain bolted when walking from our host homes to the competition, we were berated and spat on...at times, we seriously feared for our lives as truckloads of locals would drive by waving machetes while jeering in 1998 i think, there were huge riots in jakarta...all foreign shops were destroyed and foreigners fled to other countries like singapore...i know the international school of jakarta held graduate ceremonies for their seniors in singapore i know after 9-11 they forbid athletes from leaving the site of competition or their host homes...i'm not even sure if they hold competitions in indonesia anymore due to safety concerns

japan is too far away to be affected...but should an earthquake hit near them, they'd have plenty to worry about they're hardcore on the earthquake engineering research though...i'd venture to say they're the most advanced in the world on such matters as earthquakes seem to happen there all the time (mostly too minor to worry about)...my dad's an earthquake engineer (used to be with MCEER at UB) and he travels to japan alot to do work with them and he says their facilities are simply amazing

Darwin Darwin is going up for adoption. I've got two beagles that don't get along and haven't been getting along for the last 2 years...well, the situation hasn't improved at all so we've decided to give him up now to avoid further emotional attachment issues (we've contemplated doing it before, but couldn't pull the trigger because he is a really good dog alone)...anyhow, no more pussyfooting around...it's better for everyone if we just do this Darwin's a sweet dog alone (without the other beagle, stewie attacking him)...should be fine with another dog as long as the other dog is the "alpha male" and isn't overly possesive (like my current dog...should also be fine around cats)...he's somewhat antsy around kids (i'm getting married and thinking about his future and my future children just doesn't look good) and doesn't like to be teased...great off leash and won't run away from you...generally pretty calm and isn't all that interested in exercising (somehow he's in perfect shape and isn't fat at all)...neutered and perfectly potty trained i'm not asking for any donations...just a good home...i'll drive him to buffalo free of charge...if no one's interested, he's going to lollypop or scottsville adoptions at the end of the week Action Shot 1 Action Shot 2 Action Shot 3 Action Shot 4 Action Shot 5 my other dog Stewie just kind of beats on him...he usually can't even chew rawhide without stewie swooping in and taking it from him Darwin Drinking Warms your feet oh...i take him pheasant hunting every year, so he can be considered a hunting dog, but i don't think he knows what he's looking for...just gets lucky and scares up some birds every once in a while

i'm still amazed that you'd willingly move up here when the state is going to stevestojan i'm most likely moving south after i get my phd...or west to colorado

when i first left WNY, i thought wings were my favorite food when i came back, i went apestevestojan on the wings and can get sick of them pretty fast never get sick of pizza, spaghetti or steak though...when my fiance went away to visit her folks for a week, i ate spaghetti and meatballs everynight that week

ever see video of public stonings in the middle east? gruesome stuff...i don't think i could participate unless it was personal to me they bury you up to the waist (or maybe slightly higher because they don't want you to be able to keel over) in the ground, tie your hands up so you can't escape, then wrap you with white bedsheets...then people start going to town doing their best randy johnson impersonations...you see writing, blood staining through the sheets...and after an eternity it seems (i forget how long the video was), the body just goes limp... a funny thought occured to me after the video was over...the crowd was stoning two criminals (who knows what they did) and they surrounded the two in a circle of people...i'm just wondering how they avoided pelting each other when they missed since directly beyond the guy being stoned, there's someone else chucking rocks as hard as they can...

why do they let these people out of prison? or keep their testicles? it's obvious they can't be reformed...with that said let's go capital punishment

is the MTA a state organization? because if it is, i don't quite understand why the taxpayers money would need to subsidize state property when a private organization like the Jets wants to buy it
