  1. If u look at the advanced stats he doesn't drop DL in coverage any more than the other teams in the league do...Look at his stats in this article compared to some really big names....http://www.cover1.net/2015/12/20151221lackofproduction/ and our defense as a whole......http://www.cover1.net/2016/02/20161212015-bills-defensive-study-defensive-line/
  2. Sorry to hear that, but yeah sometimes depending on the amount of GIFS in one article it can slow down ur device. That is why I have done more video summaries. They take a little extra time but the feedback has been tremendous.
  3. Watkins gets one on one coverage versus Brent Grimes so he calls for the ball... http://www.cover1.net/2016/06/worked-23rd-td-2015/
  4. What article are you having issues with the GIFS?
  5. I am not saying that we had a good D bud, I am just saying that once he started the transition the defense played better. I expect the defense to be much better this year, of course it can only go up but to totally put the blame on Rex is absurd. The players werent executing, they werent holding themselves accountable either. If you read my articles, I dont just rely on the stats, thats my point about offensive rankings and such... Yeah and the seahawks held oppponents to fewer than 20 9 times, Panthers 8. Seven games for as bad as we played isnt all that bad. The problem is in some of those games our offense struggled too..It was a tough year no doubt, but I feel like its time to move on.
  6. Yes, the coaches were honest about that after the Pats game. They didnt expect that kind of attack and combine that with the merged defense http://www.cover1.net/2016/01/2016122mergedsystems/ and we got smoked....And the whole top offenses argument means nothing to me, because coordinators and players get paid to coach, adjust, scheme and execute so just because an offense is ranked 22nd in the league doesnt mean they cant be effective on any given Sunday.
  7. Not sure if you guys had a chance to dig into the type of player Eric Striker is or what he will bring but if you haven't give this a look, you will definitely root for the kid. http://www.cover1.net/2016/06/cover-1-film-room-eric-strikers-role/
  8. And if u enjoyed the DL study, then here is the secondary study http://www.cover1.net/2016/01/20161122015-bills-defensive-study-secondary/ and the Linebacker study... http://www.cover1.net/2016/01/201616linebackers/ As a poster stated the lack of effectiveness of the Defensive lineman in coverage went hand in hand with the ineffectivness of our inside LBs to pressure the QB on those zone blitzes..I do believe that is the primary reason the Bills are attempting to put Striker at ILB, hes a fantastic blitzer.... http://www.cover1.net/2016/06/cover-1-film-room-eric-strikers-role/
  9. Rex was caught off guard on how offenses were going to attack him early in the season. But as the season went on he was able to disguise coverages and pressures better. I believe it occurred from the 2nd jets game on. He transitioned to more of his Defense, more odd front looks 3-3-5, 3-2-6 etc looks...The defense was bad last year but they came around later in the year and kept us in some games...
  10. Thanks for the support guys, I would love to add more to this discussion but honestly I think we have beaten it to death hahahah.
  11. Breaking down this kids game now. Everything is average besides his speed and THAT is why he is a good fit. WRs must get open with their skills in this offense and with Sammy being doubled/bracketed maybe this kid can have a handful of explosive plays.
  12. I think he is a few years away if ever..But I do understand the scheme fit and attribute he is going to bring. Damn near a 5th round pick, let him sit behind TT for 2-3 yrs. Heres a video breakdown...http://www.cover1.net/2016/05/cover-1-film-room-cardale-jones-4th-round-pick/
  13. I think he is obviously going to be groomed to replace Kyle, but I do think the Bills want to start him at DE in their 3-4 looks.http://www.cover1.net/2016/05/3rd-round-pick-adolphus-washington/
  14. . Appreciate the support and the discussion here guys!!! All good stuff.
  15. Wow. I didn't know they were friends. But I do still agree s his assessment.
  16. I based it off the all 22 film of every game. I used his words as he reason why I looked into it not the evidence. The evidence is the film. Guys. Modern passing games are based on footwork. The 3-5-7 drops are supposed to match the depth of the routes... I don't know how else to put it. It is not normal to have a QB scan the whole field unless working progressions or looking a safety off. Instead Roman's Qbs have been in top five every year avg snap to throw.... It's not just young Qbs. Ever wonder why Roman's teams are always one of the top ypc teams in NFL? Bc he runs a vertical passing game not a timed, 3-5-7 throw offense.
  17. I had similar thoughts. Technically we overpaid based on the value chart. But I think this was one of those need meets BPA moments. I had him as a second rounder. I hoping for one of those massive DTs in the second making the lbs jobs we have easier. He will struggle in coverage a bit. But can do everything else. He's a leader love that the most. Sounds like Whaley and Rex are trying to recreate the old Ravens defense. After that draft I would have to say they did a great job of bringing in the right talent. Ragland is the LB that this defense needs.

  19. I had him #2 behind Coleman. Love how he separates at the top of his route. Tremendous in breaking route runner.
  20. Day two is my favorite draft day.
