  1. We definitely need him to step up. He definitely helped a lot in special personnel groupings last season. He fits the gap scheme but his pass blocking is atrocious.
  2. Isn't he a junior? This was on seniors. That was stated in the second paragraph.
  3. Very true I do think safety will need to be addressed. You are right, Roman hid the whole right side rather well last season. But I think it is a position that needs to be addressed if this offense wants to pass more. I was never a Cyrus fan especially in the second round. Hes def a power blocker, but his feet are horrendous. He will never start in the NFL imo. Mills is a back up, he will struggle this year.. I do worry about that right side..Miller had a rude awakening I think he will be approved.
  4. Are you content with Mills and Henderson?
  5. Sky is the limit! We had a complex game last year. Imagine another offseason under the belt and some continuity. Could be dominant yet again. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tmt4ojPuLg0

  9. Another camp body? Yeah I am ok with that, but Bills fans he isn't the same player so temper your expectations. Film and Stats http://www.cover1.ne...iebushtryitout/

  11. Thanks!!! Let's not forget that the Chiefs defense is really good too. It was a good game. Definitely and weird series of events.
  12. Teams played a lot of single high safety, specifically Cover 3 against the Bills. The coverage allows teams to have an extra run defender in the box. But the Bills were proficient throwing the Ball deep, so teams had to devise ways to stop the All Vertical concept. The Chiefs looked to Nick Saban's Cover 3 match concept to slow down the Bills vertical routes while rolling coverage to Sammy. But the chess game was on, so Roman dictated the coverage with a deep in route to Hogan. The Bills ran the same play three times in the second half, and one of those plays was the Hogan catch that was ruled incomplete...Check out the breakdown of those three plays!!! 13. Yahtzee. Our style of play would have worked, would have won more with some defensive help.
  14. If it were only that simple. But do u understand why the middle of the field was not utilized? Most of the year teams played Cover 3-to have the extra defender to stop the run. That closes the middle down. Once we had injuries to the RBs and we were hot throwing it deep then we saw more cover 2/2man which takes that defender out of the box which opened up the middle more..We just have to be more opportunistic and Roman has to call more plays over the middle and TT has to anticipate.
  15. No doubt he has to do more, Roman needs to open it up a little more, someone besides Sammy needs to get open and TT needs to anticipate a hell of a lot better this year.
  16. It is not easy to be safe with the ball period at the NFL level. There werent many games that TT, a first year starter really COST us games. Conservative was the gameplan, it starts at the top and works its way down to TT. Could he have won more? Yes, he had opportunities at the end of games but for the most part he didnt cost us and for a first year starter that is ALL u can ask.
  17. Vertical game paired with the top run game is very difficult to defend. If the D takes a guy out of the box we can outnumber and outflank w run. If extra man in the box, single high safety then we have the speed and matchups to go vertical. Its been a staple of Romans offense.
  18. TEs targeted 99x. WRs 267x...Considering Ej started two games and Clay missed time...I am not that surprised. Plus our TEs had to stay in to help block a lot at the end of the year.
  19. I feel your pain, but based on the coverage and what he saw the first time he made the correct read on that Watkins INT...It was just poorly executed with a high throw and Sammy didnt catch it. But based on coverage and routes that was the correct decision and timing for that matter..Clay was not open, both middle of the field safeties closed that route down. Now if he would have held it longer then yeah in the secondary window he may have been. But either way, he has a read and progression and based on the look from earlier that was the right play imo. On that play from the second pats game Woods would not have been open, the only reason the CB left Woods bc TT began his throwing motion to Hogan.
  20. Roman sends in multiple plays and Tyrod is responsible for getting the offense into the right play. He was spot on here. http://www.cover1.net/2016/07/worked-26th-td-2015/
  21. Me too, both teams are playing for great causes. Thurman Thomas gave Mike a shout out on FB yesterday. It just goes to show how tight knit a community Buffalo is. #onebuffalo #Get22aTD.
  22. One of the contributors to Cover 1 is playing in an alumni football game this weekend to raise awareness for Rett syndrome an affliction his daughter deals with on a daily basis.
