[Vague Title]ok....I give
CommonCents replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If they show badly on Thursday I hope the crowd let's them hear it. This really sucks. The effort level and emotion was so bad yesterday that even while the game was still close it seemed like a blow out. Maybe it was just the people I was with but none of us felt like we were in that game. How's that happen when your trailing by a FG!? -
Unbreak my hearttttt say you love me agaiiiinnn.

Watkins: injured or just trying to leave the Bills?
CommonCents replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sammy will not be 100%, Sammy will not play 16 games with a full workload. This will get worse before it gets better if he stays running around on it. They should give him the short week off and see if it improves any by week 3. If they have him running around again on Thursday id be surprised, well maybe not. -
Watkins: injured or just trying to leave the Bills?

Dang this blows if true. I did a ton of research on Jones Fractrues after looking at the timeline for his surgery and recovery time. Shame, I was mostly laughed at on the board for being an NNN. Also wanted them to address the WR position to help avoid a throw away season if Sammy's foot had any follow up issues. Blah week two and now this....garbage, waited all damn offseason for some Bills football we deserve better. -
A few less rainbows and unicorns? Watch on Thursday and then report back. My early guess would be the lack of DL talent an Oline that is missing it's best player while playing against one of the best front 7's in football. If your QB wants to play check down chess against the Ravens just wait until the Jets eat him up. It's a short week anything can happen... I'm going to cling to that while I collect cash on the other end.
-
Jets/Bills game should be a pick em this week, IMO slam the Jets who have a more proven roster and some plus match ups. Our dline is ****, our Oline is garbage. I don't think Cordy will be back on a short week, we could very well be home dogs.

Maybe it was the heavy drinking but I don't recall ever watching a game where players seemed to be so close to the QB and were unable to sack or strip him. What the heck was going on?

Ladarious Webb converted safety, name a starting secondary player outside of him without using a search function?! Is Jimmy Smith still on that team?'

Why no deep shots today Mr. Roman?
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm not a Roman guy and I have been overly critical of him at times but the repeated check downs is not a fair representation of what the actual game plan was. No idea what they were trying to accomplish but I'm sure that wasn't it. -
15 games to go......

Smash off on anyone that is critical of the offseason and this is the retort lol. -

Do you believe that the game plan was to hop around in the pocket and throw behind the LOS to Shady for the first 20 minutes or so of the game? I'd like to some target/reception numbers for the first 20-25 minutes, not that it drastically improved afterwards but if I couched it I'd say Shady was 70> of the targets and 100% of those were under 5 yards. -

We don't stand a chance against the jets defense

I'm not convinced that Roman told Taylor to hope around like a drunk bunny and float all his passes, I am open to circumstantial evidence though. Please show me that we don't suck.

Pretty neat stage they have set up here, the suspended Jumbotron is a thing of beauty.

Kaepernick and the National Anthem
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
From reading Doug Baldwin's latest tweet it seems that the Seahawks may all stand together with arms interlocked. That would be an emotional moment and it would serve a much better purpose than random people kneeling/sitting alone. Seeing 53 strong standing together with black and white interlocked together would be well done. I'm ready for some unity and less divisiveness, you can address issues while standing together. Enough finger pointing, work together and improve our way of life. -

Yeah I'm taking the wait and see approach, I'm more fired up about it than I expected. 9/11 hits home for me as it does many others....I know it sounds childish or maybe overplayed but I'm strongly considering letting go of the Seahawks D and Thomas Rawls depending on how tomorrow goes. Fantasy is nice and money is always good but I'm going to have a hard time routing for anyone that is so out of touch. If they waited til next week or a future date I wouldn't let it bother me. Tomorrow is a day the entire country should stand in unity. -

How do you guys feel about the strong possibility that the entire Seahawks team protests tommorrow? How about the other players that decide to sit/kneel? I think it's pretty outrageous that on a day when some teams are wearing things to honor 9/11 others will be sitting in protest. -
Confirmed: Rob Gronkowski Out vs. Arizona
CommonCents replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's all about the match up, the Browns will be able to move the ball against the Eagles and Barnyard is their best option until Gordon returns. RG looked for him during preseason and I'd expect that to continue. Both of the Patriots starting tackles are out and a guard is out, starting JG in hostile territory without any starting tackles!? Martellus is one of the better blocking tight ends in the league he will be counted on to keep JG healthy tommorrow. That's not even factoring in Arizona's secondary, Badger is back and they have all the tools to cripple that already weakened offense. -

Pats Revenge? The Patriots tank the game and trot out their scrubs for the majority of their prime time game? Stupid idea, but they are that arrogant to pull some kind of stunt. -
Belichick is the villain Bills fans love to hate

Local reports are that Nate Solder and Gronk were not on the plane to Arizona with the team. That would mean they are without both of their starting tackles. -

Of course not. The genie is out of the bottle though, everyone has fallen in love with the game the way it is. If contacted was drastically limited do you think football would maintain its stranglehold on the entertainment industry? It's a fine line and they are doing a good job walking it so far. -

I wasn't trying to insult rugby or its fans, can we both agree that it would never become a main stream sport in the US after the exposure we have all had to the NFL? If football ever got so watered down due to safety precautions and legislation I think the viewing audience would turn to watching robots before it would a game like rugby. I used the term barbaric earlier because like it or not that's what captures our attention, look at the rise of MMA.... -

Should we compare the rugby viewing numbers to that of the NFL's inside the U.S. market? I'm sure those numbers would be nearly impossible to find because rugby's market share is so minuscule. All the rule changes have been about reducing head injuries and eliminated much of the "head hunting" that would routinely go on against defenseless receivers. I think most fans would say those changes are for the better of the game. When you start mandating tackling form and other such things it will not be as widely accepted.
