I have similar thoughts. Dawkins had a solid year in 2019, but he is not yet elite. He may grow into that status. Time will tell. This upcoming draft will be interesting. I have no idea who they will draft in the second round. Hopefully BPA.
I am a Bills fan since 1962. Not a fair weather fan. Beans and McDermott ate the best combo og GM/coach the Bills have had, maybe ever. With the schedule we are facing, we could digress. Nit giving up ob them.
Of course. Picking a franchise QB is not an exact science. They are a great combo that gets the most out of their team year after year.
This is a silly thread.
It has been mentioned a number of time this off season that the Bills need to upgrade our backup quarterback position. Would cam Newton be an upgrade? He and Josh have similar skill sets so the offense does not have to change style of play if Josh gets injured? Thoughts?
Great article! My biggest concern is how we hand a very challenging schedule. but this will be offset by the fact that the rest of the AFC East teams have a more difficult schedule, because they have to face the BEAST OF THE EAST twice a year...THE BUFFALO BILLS!!!
That was my first reaction when I heard about this trade. But, I still completely trust Beane. He has a plan and he has shown that his moves usually turn out for the best. We have a experienced proven #1 receiver compared with an unproven risk if we were to draft a receiver with our #22 pick .
Trust Mcbeane...Trust the process!!!
No, No, No, let me think.....NO!
Beasley is an incredible slot receiver. A #1 receiver can be obtained through the draft. Oh by the way...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
HI:
Welcome back.
I agree with you on all of your recommendations with the exception of Chuck Knox. He was 37-36 as head coach of the Bills (if my math is correct). He had two winning seasons 80 (11 - 5) and 81(10-6). Knox was 1-3 in playoff games. The Bills actually had just two losing seasons prior to Knox being hired.
Though he was a big name hire, his time in buffalo was moderately successful. Not wall of fame material in my opinion.
My only concern is that he just happened to peak in his free agency year. I could see him losing his motivation after signing his big contract.
If they resign him, I hope the contract is incentive based.
They are getting concessions from the league that they have been trying to get for a long time. My point wad a lack of concern on the part of the owner's, not the players. And I do believe the players are concerned with the CT issue.
