  1. Because when Fairchild came here, he was highly touted as "innovative" and "creative" and a "mike Martz disciple who will drastically change the passing game". And what did we get? Run, run, pass, punt about 75 percent of the time. I think he directly puts his "touch" on the offense by dictating game plans, as well as what type of plays he wants to run for a given week. I could be totally wrong, and you could be totally right. Bottom line is, it doesn't really matter to me, I just hope our Offense is more exciting, less predictable, and can create some big plays CONSISTENTLY this year.
  2. I want to see if this teams offense is being run by Jauron or Schonert. If Dickie has his way with the offense, then I expect another 7-8 win season. If he lets Schonert run the Offense the way he wants, then I see us winning 10-11 games. We have the talent to win more games than last year, but only if we utilize it in a manner the league doesn't expect. We CANNOT be the same predictable team we have been for the last 3 years and expect different results. IMO-we must use more mis-direction, play action, crossing routes, RB's in the passing game, TE's crossing the middle. And I LOVE 3 or 4 wr sets with no FB. Spread the defense out and run or pass at will. Lynch will put up fabulous numbers if we can do that. We should be able to tell to some extent this week. My enthusiasm for this years version of the Bills is tempered until I find out who is running the Show on O.
  3. I wish i had the link for you, but I read an article about retirement age and how long a person lives. Basically it said that the earlier a person retires, the longer he lives.... I would go with the 39 yrs old option, if possible...
  4. EXACTLY!!! Bottom line is, media may be dying, but the Bills are a 650 million dollar corporation who spends millions in salaries. THEY can afford to send 8-10 people to chase him down and say, "Hey, Jason, What's up? What's with the limp, and what's it going to take?" Silent treatment works on women, sometimes, but eventually you both need to apologize and kiss and make-up. It feels to me like this is what's going on here.
  5. unfortunately, no. My car died in a collision with a 944 turbo porsche. That was just somebody else's baby.
  6. thanks. I missed it.
  7. my first car was a crappy 1974 riviera handed down from my mom. It died a steamy death when the head gasket blew. So i bought my dream car for $1500 bucks in 1981. http://www.klausclassics.com/image.php?Id=53 My Brother and I fixed it up. It was a 389ci with the 6-pack. Numbers matched, although we dropped the 3 speed tranny and put in a turbo 400. we put 10.75/1 pistons and a 3/4 race cam with a high lift in it to make it lope like a friggin Demon. i could rattle windows from 3 houses away...
  8. just a quick question about our cut list. Is the Dustin Fox on the cut list the same player as Kennard Cox whom we drafted? If not, what happened to Kennard Cox?
  9. i remember the bills got two safeties against the broncos in 1988. It was Biscuits first game I believe....
  10. Jauron was pretty hot after the second sack. I have never seen him that emotional during a REGULAR season game even...
  11. somebady knock on wood, I hope LW is ok...
  12. lets all just hope we get through this game without any similar events happening.( I dont want to even say the I-word)
  13. Ah. too many Peters threads to keep up... Very well, then. I second that!
  14. shaded to the strong side.
  15. The scoring system, and the surprising number of cat/slap fights is what turned me off. The old days had guys who were pro caliber duking it out for the medals. These days looked like a bunch of bitches slaping it out behind the gym after school....Not alot of quality fighters this year.
  16. just for the record, I predict that peters will report after the colts game. no reason for the optimism, just a hunch. that would give him 2 weeks to get ready. If he doesnt come back then, he might sit out for a LONGGGGGGG time. If he does, you may all call me the Amazing Zona.
  17. I just watched the Steeler game again, and I noticed something interesting. We played a 4-4-3 on first down during the opening drive of the Steelers. Our 4 linebackers were ellison and mitchell outside, with Poz and Digiorgio inside. I wonder if we will see this more throughout the year, or if this was specific planning against the Steelers? I think teams like the Colts and Cheatriots will take advantage of the secondary in that scenario. I will watch and see if we do this against the Colts tomorrow night. We only did 3 or 4 times last week, all on first or second downs. Run downs basically...
  18. As far as I know, Peters has made no demands. Other than he wants a new deal, of course. He and Parker are still in "silent treatment" mode, yes?
  19. Peters needs to get into camp this week, or he will miss the start of the season. No way he reports in any kind of football shape. I might be willing to bet that he has ballooned up and is trying to lose some weight in order to pass a physical. Was he in Buffalo as reported last week? Are he and the Bills talking at least?
  20. color me stupid, but i dont get the Finkle reference. What did I miss?
  21. we heard that Shouman dinged his knee, and i think whitner had his bell rung on the pick. He didnt play after that. McKelvin seemed to hurt his knee or lower leg and limped off as well. Have any of you heard any updates? No news to me means that they are all just routine dings of football, no actual injury to speak of....
  22. I never understood why we had to go with a power control game because of weather. If we could run the K-gun with Jimbo, why not with This team? The weather hasn't changed that much in 18 years has it?
  23. sure, but not for the "base" offense. I like the dual threat that 3 or 4 wideouts offers.
  24. I like that formation the best. It seems that we have the perfect combination of run and pass threat. I hope we see less and less of Barnes and more of Royal out wide or Hardy, Parrish and Evans out there...
  25. my beer doesn't last long enough to get warm!
