The 2025 New England Patriots are still utilizing that very same offensive scheme that they used with Tom Brady to win all those SBs and they are currently 8-2 leading the AFC East. Their leading receiver is Stefon Diggs 61 targets, 50 receptions for 554 yards, 3 TDs. They have a top 10 offense, 8th in points, 10th in yards with a +73 point differential. Their defense is also top 10, 6th in points allowed, 8th in yards allowed and they are winning so much because they were 4-13 last season and have a very weak schedule. Vomit on that!

McDermott might be a defensive minded HC who is now calling the defensive signals but if he wants his team to start winning again he needs to get his head into the offensive scheme besides the run game. Start learning about how that Erhardt-Perkins offensive passing scheme works. It's what the NE Patriots used to win all those Super Bowls and Brady didn't have a star studded receiver corps all those years. In 2014, they had Gronk, Edelman, Brandon LaFell, Shane Vereen. Those last two WHO? Even the leading RB for them in 2014 was Jonas Gray. I mean come on, all this talk of we need better receivers is phooey! So now all of a sudden it doesn't work...BS! You know how I know that? Because they are still utilizing the very same scheme and its damn well working for them!!!!!!

I just don't buy that the current receivers corps is the worst in the league as Shakir looks like the best slot WR or one of the best. Dalton Kincaid is one of the best TEs and Knox is not that far behind. Some of the Bills current receivers have the speed to get open and are simply not being utilized properly. We all saw that Josh Palmer can get open and get separation. Keon Coleman is not as bad as so many say and Moore is not that bad either as he simply isn't being thrown to enough. In my view this all rests on the shoulders of OC Joe Brady as his game plan against Miami was bleak. Miami stopped the run and Brady had no answer.

McD needs to start thinking about promoting Bills O line coach Aaron Kromer to OC, or Bills TE coach Rob Boras or QBs coach Ronald Curry. Hiring a passing game specialist after the season. My take is Bills OC Joe Brady is mailing it in...

Someone please enlighten me the difference between the 2024 offensive roster and the 2025 offensive roster and now suddenly the passing game doesn't work? Seems to me that this years receivers group is actually better than last years and yet now suddenly it stinks unless they get a #! WR. Makes no sense.

Think back to last season against the Lions a 48 to 42 win and the Rams game a 42-44 loss. The Bills had no problem passing last season when needed and now suddenly with a better receiving corps the offensive passing game is dying. Our superstar at QB looks very shaky too. 😢 Somethings smells rotten and it ain't in Denmark!

You know on the other hand, I wonder if the NY Giants have made inside overtures to Joe Brady to be their next head coach? Must be a reason as to why brady has mailed in a few games this season. Almost like he didn't game plan at all. The current NY Giants GM Joe Schoen used to work for Brandon Beane and he wasn't fired. EDIT: Thinking of that I hope McD has a replacement OC in mind as I really doubt that Joe Brady is here next season.

While it looks on the surface that McD gave Joe Brady a vote of confidence...I'm pretty sure behind the scenes he told him he had better get it together or he is gone. I highly doubt that this HC puts up with any more offensive crapfests like Atlanta, Miami.

Good point. The Giants hired Daboll to develop Daniel Jones into another Josh Allen and he didn't get it done! Now look what DD looks like with a decent O line and run game in Indy. It's why Dabs would stink as a HC. Just think, Daboll was ok with trading away Saquon Barkley and to a team in the same division in the Eagles who went on to win a SB with him. Passing game specialist ONLY!

This Buffalo Bills offense is run centric now and alas like when Daboll was here he had no answer when they shut down his passing scheme. Joe Brady doesn't seem to have no answer for when opponents shut down the run game. Another problem is that Buffalo no longer has that #1 WR in Stephon Diggs so I don't know if Daboll could replicate what he did when Diggs was here. He would have Shakir who is the best slot WR in the NFL and others who i think he could scheme to get open.

87 degree heat and injuries might have had something to do with this loss. Rookie DE Landon Jackson didn't last long. Kincaid didn't last long. Lots-0-injuries. AJ EP, Shaq Thompson. Benford, Teron, DeQuan Jones, Josh Palmer, Bosa playing one handed.

They are already out from a lot of Bills fans. This loss was crushing to most Buffalo fans. I was thinking that perhaps McD should re hire Ken Dorsey to be that passing game coordinator. Alas, he was hired at the start of 2025 by the Dallas Cowboys to be their passing game specialist. Anyway, Atlanta showed the world how to beat the Buffalo Bills and Miami followed with the same formula. Stop the run and dare them to throw deep. In my view I see this offensive coordinator as not game planning a pass game that would work against Miami. He probably thought he run game would work or didn't care.

If this lopsided loss to Miami keeps McDaniel's as their HC then it was worth it

My take is that the players, coaches and fans are completely spoiled and want the playoffs to start already. If you think it's bad at 6-3 just wait as they have a Tampa Bay team that just lost at home to New England. Then on the road to Houston, Pittsburgh then Cincy at home @ NE, @ Cleveland. Then Eagles, Jets at home. If this team continues to play like this they won't even make the playoffs.

In a word YES! Want to assign blame then look to the current offensive coordinator. Joe Brady is brilliant at run schemes and he sucks goat nads as a passing game coordinator. McD needs to find a passing game coordinator ASAP!

Brian Daboll was a passing offense genius who was brilliant at setting up a passing scheme and his deficiency was in the run game. Joe Brady is a run game genius and is brilliant at setting up a run scheme and his deficiency is in the passing game. The problem is in the NFL you simply can't be one dimensional. So while Buffalo has Brady I'd suggest hiring a top passing game coordinator. Perhaps Daboll after he is fired after the season ? Bills QB coach Ronald Curry or Adam Henry the receivers coach?

Well Brady finally had Cook involved in the pass game with 5 targets, 5 catches for 24 yards. but it was Ty Johnson who had 2 catches for 24 yards. I still say Joe Brady isn't setting up his passing scheme properly and against a team that was 24th in defense it should have been an easy win.

Buffalo players melted in that heat and humidity. It used to be the Dolphin players that would fail in that would look bad.

I kind of doubt that Joe Brady is going anywhere other than being fired and he was at LSU for one season. Look at what he is doing with some receivers on the buffalo roster. I think you could give him Justin Jefferson and he would still pound the rock over throwing it.

Archane 22 carries 174 yards, 2 TDs and Tua 15 of 21 for 173 yards 2 TD, 2 INT. They couldn't stop the Dolphins run game...which ranked 30th in rush attempts, 25 in yards, 27th in rush TDs...and yet! Buffalo needs a passing game coordinator because Joe Brady is clueless at times. This game was against the 24th ranked defense.

This game was more about not being able to stop the Dolphins run game and not getting the Buffalo run game going.

Nobody is blowing up anything. McD might be hiring a passing game coordinator though. Joe Brady is like Daboll when his run game plan isn't working he goes to a pass game that doesn't work.
