Isn't This Game the Ultimate Referendum on Beane?
Nihilarian replied to Rich Stadium Original's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Buffalo injuries to their defense might still be a problem. McD has overcome so much with so many injuries this season. However, the offense has no excuse and should get an early lead to allow that run game to get working. The Buffalo Bills seem to be squeaking by so many teams this season and let's not forget that throwback pass by Kelce that would have won them the game if not for the Offside. Buffalo has the potential to be as explosive on offense as they were in 2020,2021. This year they blew out the Raiders, Commanders, Jets, and recently the Dallas Cowboys. Another concern is this Ref crew as they are the same ones for this year's Eagles game with so many bad calls against the Bills. We will see. Buffalo should win this game. -
Kansas City at Buffalo in the Divisional Round!
Nihilarian replied to chongli's topic in The Stadium Wall
This game is what counts as the Chiefs have been the best in the AFC the last four years and have been keeping Buffalo from the SB. This reminds me of "if" McD and Co. could beat the Patriots when it counted because until 2020 the Patriots owned this franchise. Home field baby! If they can't get up for this game for the ownership, the fans, for the win. This is what it's all about! -
WHAT? I thought they fired him when the team was 6-6. Seriously though, what a defense that last few weeks. One player goes out with an injury and another steps in and the defense doesn't miss a beat. Aside from McD, the entire team gets a game ball as it was an amazing effort by so many. Josh puts the cape on and makes a 52-yard TD run. 4 TDs by the alien unicorn.

Teams following the Bills defensive plan against Dallas...no D in Dallas again! NO SB for Jerrah 😄 -

This season it's all riding on how good Joe Brady is and it might be a blessing to get to him because this year's team needs to run the ball like no other. Let's face it neither Daboll nor Dorsey wanted to run the ball...ever. Honestly, I think that Reid will retire after this season should they fail to reach the SB. Then we will see how good Mahomey is under an ordinary HC. -

The Buffalo Bills can, I'm confident. -
You do realize that Mahomes sat for a season behind Alex Smith who took that season's Chiefs team to a 10-6 record. Oh, BTW, Andy Reid had the Chiefs in the playoffs for 4 of 5 seasons BEFORE even Mahomes got there. The Chiefs were already division winners while Mahomes sat. Must be nice to start for a playoff team. Good receivers, and a good offensive line all playoff-tested. Lil Patty was also trained by an offensive genius who has had his team in the playoffs for 10 of his 11 seasons at KC. Reid had his former team in the SB in Philly with McNabb at QB. The man knows how to develop QBs. Also, Mahomes has had arguably the very best TE in the NFL to throw to his entire time in the NFL. Kelce was an all-pro, pro bowler BEFORE Mahomes got there too. Meanwhile, in 2018 Josh Allen was thrown into the fire behind a crap O line with questionable receivers and an OC who wouldn't call running plays...except of course run plays for the rookie QB. Under Andy Reid, Josh Allen would be even better than he already is! And in my opinion, he is the very best QB in the NFL today. His team is In the playoffs under a rookie OC!

I can't stand the hype this clown is getting...like he retired. HE WAS FIRED! Belicheat wants to break Don Shula's all-time win record by getting 15 more wins. I think we all see now that it was QB Tom Brady that was the force that drove that dynasty. Without Brady is he even an average NFL head coach? ...he sucks. 8-9 last year, 4-13 in 20-23. The equal of Nate Hackett. 🤪 I disagree with Allen. Mahomes has won more because of his head coach Andy Reid. Without Reid I don't see Mahomes developing like he has...btw what happened to him this season?

As much as I dislike Miami and it's a lot...I've come to really hate the Chiefs for keeping Buffalo out of the big dance the last few seasons

This fan base, sometime, is very concerning

This is the season of the Jeckle and Hyde Buffalo Bills. Loss to the 7-10 NY Jets. Loss to the 9-8 Jags. Loss to the 4-13 Patriots. Loss to the 9-8 Bengals. Loss to the 8-9 Broncos.Loss to the 11-6 Eagles. Could have lost to the NY Giants...Tampa Bay Bucs...KC Chiefs if some dude lines up correctly...could have lost to the SD Chargers. Buffalo has come so close to losing many games this season. They should have been blowing out bad teams like the Patriots, Broncos NY Giants, and yet these teams looked to play their best games against the Buffalo Bills. The offense falling on its face in the first half of many games and the best thing the Bills did this season was to fire Ken Dorsey who was running such a simplistic scheme that teams knew what was coming. Probably a reason why Diggs was so upset at the end of last season. Schematically broken. This worries about the Steeler game because I don't know which Josh Allen we will see or what the offense will do this week. The team is 16-0 when Josh doesn't turn the ball over. Joe Brady should start the first series of plays with Josh running to get him worked up and fighting right away so Bills fans don't need to wait until the 4th quarter for him to put on his cape. -
The guy that screwed that franchise was the GM who didn't want to pay AJ Brown and they still haven't found another young WR even close to that talent.
-
Holy cow...did the Buffalo Bills defense just make the #1 offense in the NFL punt 5 times in a row in the 4th quarter with the game on the line? Then intercept that top QB who was at one time being talked about as MVP? Someone tell me...who would be better than MCD? Kind of a good thing that posters here have no say in anything or McD would have been fired about 20 times this season.
-
Josh Allen's favorite player is Brett Favre and he plays like him at times. A total gunslinger! A dude
-
Allow me to reiterate...the Buffalo Bills are 16-0 when Josh Allen doesn't turn the ball over. No idea how many times he can get away with this and Buffalo still win.
-
Can they bench Allen for awhile and let the run game work?
-
wide open for a TD and....
-
Bills gonna give this game away? Was going to say the Bills are 16-0 when Josh has no turnovers....

So how are we feeling about Coach McDermott?
Nihilarian replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Considering how good the defense has been WITHOUT all pros Matt Milano, and Tre White I'd say the defense has been carrying some games. The Buffalo offense should have been blowing out some of these bad teams and the defense has saved the day. I don't know where this fire McD all started (possibly by Ken Dorsey) However, the right guy was fired after the Bills under Dorsey after they went 5-5 after 10 games. New Buffalo OC Joe Brady has only one loss to the NFC Champ Eagles at Philly in OT!!! NY Jets, Chiefs, Chargers, Cowboys, and Patriots... all wins. That win against Dallas was a thing of beauty with that Buffalo run game 49 rushes for 266 yards and 3 TDs. 31 to 10 against one of the best teams in the NFL at that time. weren't they the #1 scoring offense before that game? The Buffalo offense hasn't been itself most of the season and we know Dorsey was a big part of that problem. Looking at that Patriots game I have to think it's mostly on the players themselves as they tend to play down to the level of the opponent. Allen looked bad, with missed throws, and missed looks. The Bills O line looked bad in the middle as both OGs were owned all game. Then the drops! Three of those drops would have been for first-downs. Both Diggs and Kincade targeted 7x with only 4 catches each. Cook had a drop, and Murray had a drop and Sherfield went 0 for 3. I'd also like to add that Bills fans should be so happy that they have a magic man at GM. That trade for Rasul Douglas was one of the best ever, a 3rd rounder for a guy playing like a 1st. Two INT's with one a pick-six and another tipped that Ed Oliver caught for an INT. Great stuff. -
Best coaching move of the game yesterday

But, But McD sucks right?...should be fired...replaced by Bill Belicheat. McD didn't call that defense against the Patriots...it was someone else. Exit sarcasm... -

Nihilarian replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Best Buffalo Bills head coach since Marv Levy! Did anyone else notice how the Buffalo Bills defense won the game against NE this past week? Who was calling the defensive plays again? Meanwhile, the Buffalo offense was falling on its face all game with missed throws, dropped passes, and bad O-line play. -
Joe Brady vs Ken Dorsey- Has He Been Better?
Nihilarian replied to thenorthremembers's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'd say give Brady some time to develop as an NFL OC. Looking over the stats from Ken Dorsey's 10 games this season and Joe Brady's 6 games so far...it's clear to me that the Buffalo Bills won 5 of those 6 and the one against the Eagles in Philly the kicker made a miracle FG in a rain storm for the play of the game and it went into OT 34-37. Ken Dorsey's offense was schematically broken and opposing teams knew what was coming most of the time and that simply isn't the case with Brady. Plus, the Bills have developed an actual dominant run game that we haven't seen the likes of since Tyrod Taylor and LeSean McCoy. What they did to the Cowboys with that run game is something we would have never seen under Dorsey or Daboll. It was a thing of beauty! In this last game, Brady didn't drop 3 passes that would have been first downs or started to look like the team that led the NFL in dropped passes again. Brady wasn't off-target with his throws. The Buffalo offensive line double-teamed a NE player and he still got the sack on Josh Allen. Who BTW was under pressure most of that NE game. That Buffalo O line had difficulty against the Patriots for some reason. I dunno what's up with Josh Allen (perhaps that new GF is wearing him out?) Anyway, I have no idea why the fans are questioning the Buffalo OC when it's the players who can't seem to play up against a down team. -
It wasn't Brady who dropped 3 passes that would have been first downs in that NE game...and instead, they were forced to punt. All the drops by the Bills offensive players started to look like the #1 drop team again. It wasn't Brady that was off-target for a lot of that game. It wasn't Brady who was manhandled at the LoS for the offense, one NE player was double-teamed by the Bills and he STILL got to Allen for the sack. Let's face it the Patriots D line was in Allen's face most of the game. Players need to do their jobs and when they face an underachieving opponent they need to step up and not play down to them. Buffalo could have lost this game, could have lost the Chargers game, could have lost so many games this season. Bucs, Giants, Chiefs.

Great win...just win baby! Josh had a not-so-good first half. Then opened the second with a nice pass. Happy New Year! Go Bills!
