    That line always bothers me. A parsec is a unit of length, but Solo seems to be using it as a unit of time (unless the phrase 'Kessel Run' involves bending space-time).

    Well, it IS OJ. Anyway, I posted in the first ANS thread that I had seen OJ at the Seminole Hard Rock during the conference championship games. So he's known to frequent the place, so hooking up with da OJ isn't out of the realm of possibility for ANS.

    Yup. There's no limit on the speed of information. Just when we (and by "we" I mean humanity's best scientists) think we're onto something, we're nowhere. But we'll keep on looking (and refining the math). Think we'll have a Grand Unified Theory in our lifetime?

    Actually, there are 46 states and 4 commonwealths (Kentucky, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, & Virginia). Semantics make for fun trivia.

    From the BeerLauncher site: I have new found respect for the engineering program at Duke. The control circuit for the solenoid is Senior year Electronics II stuff, nevermind everything else that went into it. That video brought out my inner nerd.

    Bud was a technical trader. Remember him blowing off the Knick game to go over charts? GG knew that the only thing Bud ever made money in was BlueStar winning that judgement. BTW, the Dow is now positive for the day after being down 209.

    The VIX is up near 16 after lingering around 11 for 3 months. There will be nice premium in those options. I was waiting for a nice "melt up" to end this move, but it never happened. So much for calling a top.

    Last year, Rick Majerus was doing the color commentary for a game at UK. During a timeout, AJ had gone down to the court and led the student section in a cheer. The play-by-play guy (Dan Schulman?) asked him, "Rick, what did you think of Ashley's performance?" Rick: "That was fantastic. I'm not going to need to rent a movie at the hotel tonight."

    Two recent PMOY are from Ohio (Hether Kozar & Carmella DeCesare). While I would agree that Ohio isn't South FL or Southern California, I've always done pretty well on my trips there. Put In Bay is quite a place in the summer.
