Bettor places $80,000 on Chiefs to beat Buffalo
Billsfan1972 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall
No big deal..... Here are some bets.... https://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/id/34812949/slew-nfl-upsets-fuels-big-day-sportsbooks-betting -
I'm trying my best to be impartial.😉

Regardless McKenzie dropped it and then made things worse by booting it. BTW Lamar 58.5, with 17-32 for 210 an int and a fumble (100% on him). 77 rushing. I guess the two neel downs hurt Allen???
-
Ticky tack hold at best, Jones beat him, but not a blatant hold. But as much of a hold as those called on the Bills secondary, so surprised a holding penalty on the Bills wasn't the only one called on the play (which would have been hilarious). Now if we really want to go down the rabbit hole. They realized there'd be heck to pay if a flag was thrown and only the Bills penalized (declined), and offsetting would have replayed the down, so as soon as Allen went down neither was thrown. The ref was in perfect position to see the trip. No one was in position to call holding (if there was any).

That fumble was on McKenzie.

I left the room and was doing dishes, listening in the background and couldn't understand what was happening. I take it back it was only 2:30, but boy was it a long review for absolutely nothing. BTW KC had three Buffalo Holding penalties for First Downs (another 2 were called, but passes were completed, and one offsetting on 3rd down). Bills conversely got one call (and eventually 0 points, when McKenzie tripped). Kelse's penalty shouldn't have been called, but they got the first down anyways, so not crying about it.

Please don't have refs play a role on Sunday

Prophetic??? Seems every close game can be picked part like this. Is it because we are Bills fans? But they did try...... I know the offensive pass interference on Kelse was ticky-tack, but the calls on the the Bills secondary seemed just stupid (phantom calls). KC got 3 first downs by penalty (and few others were either negated or KC got the first down). The non-tripping penalty was blatant, and even Jones knew what he did (as his celebration was subdued). Thankfully no RTP. Wonder what a KC fan saw? I guess since the "good" guys😉 won, all is okay. -
The tripping was obvious, something didn't look right.
-
And then 5 minutes reviewing the final interception from 15 angles to see if there was anything they could call to give the ball back to KC.

Please don't have refs play a role on Sunday

Maybe right, but there always seem to be 1-2 that can affect a game. Just coming off a bad week for sure that can make one antsy. -

Yes that is a given, but we are seeing game defining calls of late. The worst have resulted in rule changes and many deciding games. Today's flavour is RTP, which 100% is the result of Miami allowing Tua back the second half vs. Buffalo. The Brady & Carr RTP's were absolute jokes. -

Never said anything of the sort. However stating a concern. Hypervigilance on my part after those ridiculous RTP calls on the weekend (and that holding make-up call on the FG attempt). A few PI's too on Monday could have been deemed 50/50. -

That's the worst case scenario, but yes I will be holding my breath every time the qb is hit. -

Regardless when a QB is hit now, you do look to see if a flag will be thrown. What we are seeing is flags thrown on clean sacks. Heck Jones already had the ball before Carr went to the ground. Brady was a text book sack and nothing violent at all about it. -

He got hit after the pass and I still haven't seen an angle that did not appear to show him not hit in the head. In any case it was a 1st down not a 3rd down play that would have resulted in a field goal try. Add to that Allen was hit late a number of times that game and that was the 1st call the refs made. -

You're right I forgot that one however like Monday Tit for Tat and they evened out. -

Hey I wanted KC to beat LV Monday and the call before half-time was atrocious. Next morning I see the makeup call on the Phantom hold. So I guess somehow I see it as a make up call. To me it is what has the NFL become. 50/50 calls are one thing however lately some of these calls are just egregious. -
This is what the NFL has become. A huge game on Sunday and after every play I'll be wondering if a flag will be thrown or not. QBs will be hit there'll be lots of tight coverage (was that a hold?) in the secondary and the olines will be pressured and the question will be if the refs throw flags or not. 2020 a lot was made as to how handsy the Chiefs secondary was. Last year I did not notice the refs in either game ( one being a blowout). After this week's reffing debacles I just don't know what to expect.

Broadcast team ripping Bflo weather
Billsfan1972 replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
It's part of the narrative every time. I can't stand it. 2-3X's/year the Bills seem to have decent weather. Every game I go to I have layers and fingers crossed at to what effect the elements will play. -
Broadcast team ripping Bflo weather
Billsfan1972 replied to ProcessTruster's topic in The Stadium Wall
It is a narrative. I can't stand that almost weekly weather in a Bills game is a talking point. Three games already this year weather was a factor to some extent (Miami, Baltimore & Pitt) and may or may not have paid some factor. Last year two losses were weather related (Tenn & NE). And yes Orchard Park seems to be affected way too much. Is any team as affected by weather more so then Buffalo? -
I was told about this, but this is my first time seeing it. Didn't wait for Gabe to cross the goal line and was flexing.....
