Might have been all the scorned mothers who Wilson left hanging. Doubt they know who the actual QB was. 😂 -
you think it definitely played no part? interesting. He was traded for a 5th rounder when he went to Cleveland… he’s older and just as productive. His last year in Dallas saw a decrease in stats due to CeeDee’s emergence as the #1. So how do you go from a 5th to a 3rd in a handful of years?

Man, every time I hear Al on these broadcasts I get bummed out John is no longer gracing us with his commentary. -
Great point, the salary was the needle mover for a higher pick. Probably a 4th or 5th if it was double or triple the salary, like Hopkins. Curious as to what the “conditions” on it being a fifth rounder are.

That sounds about right. Win or lose, a showcase that he’s healthy and still who he is. -
Totally agree that he isn’t a liability but we can do better and I think that’s the standing point with many people who are fans of our team. There’s a reason they brought in Kareem Jackson, Burgess and Mike Edwards on top of drafting Cole Bishop with a premium pick. If they viewed Hamlin as quality would we have seen the assortment of acquisitions? It’s undoubtably tough to replace Poyer and Hyde but given the ups and downs we’ve seen in coverage from the guys infront of Hamlin and Rapp in the LB unit when does it become a problem? Does become a problem at some point like we saw in 2022 when he was a starter? Does it happen in the season when it can still be addressed or when the ship has run its course and we are in a win or go home? Does it even happen at all? Who knows. The point is there’s deficiencies there. Can you have the absolute best at every position? Of course not but there is guys who are better at that free position than him. I like Hamlin, definitely a player in the league but can be better. If we stick with him, nothing else but support him and hope the negative portions don’t rear their head when it matters.

Sfefanski handing over play calling duites to Dorsey this week
Sojourner replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Something wasn’t meshing toward the end which is weird as his whole style seems to be the heavy RPO with west coast design. Something that should be a killer fit with a QB like Josh. -

Facts Bill. This guy made Tavares Jackson, Joe Webb, Teddy Bridgewater and Case Keenum look playable lol (Probably a bit harsh on Case there) Best QB during his extensive Minny tenure was Favre and we know how good the Vikes were during that 2009 season. Sure they had AP but Brett looked great that first season there. -
Weekly football pick em sheet, against spread ???
Sojourner replied to Gman10's topic in The Stadium Wall
I actually just got done watching that Falcons/Hawks game. They weren’t as bad as the scoreline suggests. A missed FG early. They had an absolute meltdown in the 4th. Very uncharacteristic for Cousins. Sack fumble that was returned for a TD at the start of the quarter. They came out slinging it the next drive, forcing a lot of passes. Then obviously the same on the following; another INT. Before the fumble TD, had they made the FG earlier it would have only been 24-17 on that drive. Sorry for rambling, it’s just watching the game and not looking at the score you obviously see the difference. The rest you hit the nail on the head though. Great points. -

For all the talk about Jerry and his meddling, he’s still managed to give coaches a leash if there’s some form of success. Like you both point out, Stefanski is the last of the issues there. Even going back to his assistant coach/coordinator days in Minnesota, you don’t stay for the tenure of 3 different head coaches unless you’re doing something right. The casual fan even knows where the problems begin. Haslam is literally the worst owner in the league. Hands down. Tepper is closing in though lol -
Trade strategies for need positions at deadline
Sojourner replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nice post dude, Cam Jordan has been a great player but the decline is real, he’s also the same age as Von. Obviously the heavy hitters that are likely unobtainable; Crosby/Garrett would be nice but I’d like them to go with Ojulari or Uche. Both are still young, might be cheap to retain and if are would fill the void that Groot leaves if he’s priced himself out of an extension. -
Saleh is hired by the Packers as a consultant

And that’s the only reason it happened… They didn’t consult him first. 🥁 -
So slow he didn’t even get his jersey on before the game started.

Do you feel Benford and someone else would be good next year if Douglas leaves? Benford and Ingram? Or do you go on the market for a guy? There’s certainly a decent amount of CB’s hitting the market in 2025, at least for now. Eric Stokes is someone I wouldn’t mind them taking a gamble on for the right price. The only problem becomes is his injury history. When he plays he’s a pretty darn good CB. Carlton Davis? I think he’ll be a very price player again. Especially if Detroit continue the play they’ve had on the field. DJ Reed? Probably think the Jets resign him if he agrees. They have the cap space and definitely need the help they can get in that secondary. Byron Murphy? I don’t know much of his game but always felt, whenever I was watch the Cardinals, that he was making plays. Jeff Okudah? His final year in Detroit wasn’t too bad from what I can remember. Was absolutely shocking they ditched a high first rounder for a day 3 draft pick. Can his career be salvaged under the DB whisperer? He’s a physical talent and has had some production on the league… Obviously the draft might have to be where we hit a home run in either WR or CB if both Cooper and Douglas aren’t retained.

I think anyone who states someone is a “pedo” instead of “Your leader/candidate is a pedo” is stupid. The latter is far different from stating a poster is one on the basis of not answering a question or political affiliation. You and the others clearly via your replies advocate there’s grounds of acceptance for such basing, directly or indirectly. It’s wrong for that to be the discretion of anyone period. At least to me. Anyway man, take care and stay safe. This back and forth has evidently run its course.
-
Seems you like to have a narrative that aprons anyone of a different ilk to you. Your choice. Don’t get too captivated and centralized that people are either A or B with no between. I’ll happily stick to my form of bad ideology where I believe someone should have the common decency not to label a person something a disgusting as a “pedo” because of political party affiliation.
-
Giving up? Lol No man, you’re advocating it’s acceptable to label someone who has no involvement in a scandal as pedo because of political party siding. Neither party cares about you or anyone else, keep banging the drum and aiming your aggression towards the people who are on the same river you’re sailing down, just in a different boat. Again, if your view was truly worth any salt which it appears you believe, you’d be outside Trump tower or down at Palm Beach vocalizing it directly to the culprit who’s being accused. You aren’t that dissimilar. Believe that illusion.
-
Look at you, focusing on BS rhetoric and questioning rather than the outlandish statement that someone is a “pedo”. SMH. Don’t get why there is so much animosity Democrats have to Republicans and vice versa. If this point of tabloid/gossip was truly worth your opinion, you wouldn’t be on a forum having back and forths.
