Probably that 2nd rounder from Minnesota would do it. Giants need all the help they can. Immediately. Sign Ojulari whilst you’re at it seeing as he’s hitting the FA market. might be out priced though.

Lost in the sauce: Outstanding Performances vs KC
Sojourner replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
With what we run offensively, it’s not surprising. We’re not a big mauling type of offense you need to be big for. And it shows. Their safeties man handled some of our guys at the LOS. -
Yeah, my “you want to” was the proverbial you. I like Groot, think he’s decent but at that position and that price you need someone who is elite or right on the cusp of it. Especially for McD’s defensive schemes. Your projection is probably right and something I agree on. Can’t see them not spending it on him. The only question is, does it become like Termaine where they don’t extend him prior to the end of the option and other teams can make him an offer? Hopefully because that should price him out of Buffalo.

The money better be going to a proven guy who isn’t on this roster at one of the following positions. DE CB WR They’ve all shown me enough who are warranting sizable contracts that they’re not worth it sadly. (Groot/Douglas/Amari)

Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
Sojourner replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
That spot wasn’t his fault but he was the recipient of it being marked short. He was the pusher on the following play on 4th & 1… He also dropped that pass from the heavens by Josh… Disgusting indeed brother. -

And there in itself lays another problem on relying on that Josh Rush on short yardage… If we weren’t so successful in converting short yardage throughout the year, he challenges it there I would think. never thought about that 2&2. 😔 -
What you’ll pay for Groot in an extension would be a mistake. Dude isn’t living up to the bill on a team friendly price. $20m+ is unjustifiable for a quality run setting edge. Even then, he wasn’t that great at containing and holding the edge in the biggest game of his life. You want to pay him more? Shakir. Definitely. Dude has a knack for catching and getting yards. Reminds me of a Maurice Jones-Drew but WR form. Small, compact and is trying to go through defenders. Love to see it. Cook absolutely got himself an extension over the last season if not the playoffs alone. One of few guys who showed up to the highest requirement for playoff football. Benford? He’s decent. I don’t agree with a lot of our fans who pencil him in as this stud CB. But would definitly extend him as it stands for the right price. Bernard? Another quality season back to back but missed some games. What are you paying him on an extension is the question. You can’t pay him and Milano $10m+ a year. So it’s either a drastic reduction for Milano and pay Bernard or you let one of them go.

I’ve always liked the majority of what Dan has to say and there’s a lot of validity even if I might not wholly agree. We need better backend players on that secondary, for sure but a game wrecking pass rusher changes everything. not to turn it into another type of post but trade for a guy. Even throw in Groot if you have to as no one is available in 2025. The next best is 2026 and that really only Hendrickson for the Bengals as it stands right now. Can’t see him not getting big money let alone traded to a conference rival. 2027 is the year there’s a few but they’re all hovering around 30 years or older.

“Von Gone!” Not a shock headline we’ll see printed by Buffalo News lol

Agree. Ferguson is a must sign imo. Special teams rarely see the field, if a player has been on that unit for years with little to no error you don’t get rid of him. Guy has been a great long snapper for us going on 9 seasons now.

The girl in the vid says it’s not fun anymore as she’s wearing the 2024 AFC Champs hoodie… Miserable and expensive. -
IMO, Absolute musts: Reid Ferguson Mack Hollins Wouldn’t be opposed: Ty Johnson Reggie Gilliam The rest? They can be replaced. Amari and Douglas had their moments but for their price tags I feel you can do better for absolute key needs.

Weird when you think about… the guy a lot wanted/willing to trade in Cook the guy a lot were laughing at before the season and not for his comedic antics the guy plenty wanted cut throughout and prior to the season all put on some of the best games of their seasons the other night. Huge let down for Jimbo. What a dog he was. -
In some ways, this is worse than the drought in my opinion
Sojourner replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
See I’m not sure about that. I feel this is the make or break year for McD given the move to the new site in 2026. Hosting the season kick off in the new stadium as Super Bowl champs is a huge deal. Something we should be aiming toward as I’m sure they are. You have the perfect reason to move on and I’d hope Terry and whoever else makes the decisions is capable of seeing that. I love Sean as a coach and everything has done but falling short to the same team again has to be wearing thing on everyone within the organization. Front office, coaching staff and players alike. There’s only so many losses you can take before they truly become a burden. This loss is a hard one to come back, especially to put Super Bowl demands on him again. But you have the talent. Bigger picture, is it time to move on? Yes. Will they move on this year from Sean? No. Should they move on from him if he can’t get into the Super Bowl? Yes, especially for a fresh slate in a fresh stadium. -
Kurt Warner breaks down the 4th down. Allen error?
Sojourner replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Awful series of plays. I get their concept but there’s plenty of time to be running the ball. Wild ride of events. Toss play to Ty Johnson should have told you all you needed. Josh’s scramble had he convinced it was different though. Then 4 plays of huh?! After the TD effort by Cook earlier, we let him down not being in that drive. -

Sojourner replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
Precisely. The tape is there on Spagnolo and his tendencies. He’s not letting you dictate what to do on crucial downs. He’s blitzing more often than not, you just have to determine where. Doomed from the start is accurate. The play, its design in routes and personnel lining, the protection changes. Just a mess. The sadder part is whether you want to throw the blame on A, B or C. the play was still in a position to be made. Looking back on it, it’s a theme all year. Slow developing routes unless it’s a dump off to Shakir/Running Back. A lot of questionable play calls throughout the game. All of them in crucial moments. -

Sojourner replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
They did that the play before and it ended up to cooper for 5 yards. Should have had the extra blocker just in case, have him on a delay route with an option built in. The fact you’re going empty against a team that runs blitzes with no really quick hitters on a crucial 4th down is absolutely wild. Definite example of inexperience in Joe Brady. -
Theres 3 of our best players on defense getting wiped out by Ju-Ju. If that’s what there doing can’t blame him for the lack of trust in some of the other guys lol
-
No dispute. I’m not advocating to keep him or that’s he’s a quality player. Just an observation for how bad he was, he did very well the last 2 years quarters. Most players would crumble when you combine what’s happened this year, what happened in the game to start and the magnitude of the game itself. Not a fan at all but he did do some things right.
-
Elam had a poor first half, Bishop a poor second. They were targeting Cole in the passing game and were the reason they moved the ball the last 2 quarters through the air. Actually watching the second half, for as bad a sieve as Elam was the first 30 minutes, he turned it around the last 30 in comparison. The player quality on the field is a problem.

Vic Fangio was the call. Going back through the forum before the season, a lot of people were saying that was the hire that needed to be made when Eric Washington left and McD was going to pass play calling responsibilities to the DC. Sometimes experience is better than in house loyalty or giving your own guys a chance. We’re not in the ascension stage anymore. We are firmly in title contention. Staff and player choices need to be the right ones. Sadly, the majority of both decisions are left with questions.

Defense was awful but again, you ask every Bills fans going into that game they weren’t relying on the defense in any way shape or form. A stop here or there and/or a turnover/s was all they wanted. They got that. They were a let down but so was the real reason we were ever there to begin with: the offense. Poor execution on both sides of the ball. Defense was right around where they were expected to perform. Offense was not. Thank Brady and Babich.

Not just that man. People love watching winning teams with elite quarterbacks. Most football fans tune in to root for Buffalo as they’ve changed from mediocrity too. Bandwagon or not, it’s good for the league but also the Bills. Win/Win. People also love watching winners lose. Especially dynastic teams.
