  1. Fair. Enough. Just making sure you everyone realizes it's a near certainty that this year was not a fluke and that Allen's floor is likely a notch or two above decent play.
  2. Doesn't look like he touched it too me. But nice effort and hustle nonetheless.
  3. Totally. Lamar was great on those. Should have been huge losses. On one of them Milano was straight lining for the ball and where Jackson was rather than playing it wider and anticipating Lamar rolling out after picking up the ball.
  4. Truly amazing how one player like Murphy on defense gets called up just for a game like this and plays his role perfectly. Do we need to activate him vs. Mahomes as well? Mahomes broke our back with a couple scrambles in the first game. But then again, Murphy was probably playing in that game.
  5. Next time let's have someone play the role of their center too so we can recover one of those high snaps.
  6. On the bright side Brown stepped up last night after not looking that great last week.
  7. Didn't even need a turnover. Just needed to stop them on 3rd and 17 I think it was and we get the ball back with about 3 minutes left only down six. But Kelce made a heck of a catch on a poorly thrown pass from Mahomes if I remember correctly. I fully expect the rematch to be a one score game.
  8. I think they are pretty bad. I mean Dez Bryant gets meaningful snaps. Not quite as bad a unit as Allen's 2018 supporting cast but they are definitely near the bottom this year if not at the bottom.
  9. Anyone able to find stats on which QB's lead in drawing roughing the passer penalties since 2018? Feel like Allen has to be number one by a mile. Just another example of Allen being that complete QB.
  10. Just "play decent" is what you want out of Allen. Given his improvement since his first start and his track record I find it hard to believe he won't at least play at a decent level. Even looking at the full seasons, the press can see the dramatic improvement in Allen. I like to break it down by half seasons because when you do that you can see that it's not as shocking that Allen made the massive leap he did this year from year 2 to 3. Heading into this season their was legitimate talk about whether Allen's 2019 season was a fluke and if his third season would be similar to Mitch Turbitzky. People thought he could be like Turbitzky or Bortles. I don't think we are worried about him regressing back to those levels. He's at minimum decent. Allen has all the skills and talent and then some of say an Aaron Rodgers who just put up a 121 passer rating season. The only thing Aaron has on Allen currently is experience. But Allen is gaining experience with every passing minute. It feels like it is only a matter of time before it truly all comes together for him and puts up a similar season to the one Rodgers just had. Rodgers was in his 4th season starting and 7th season overall when he broke out with his NFL record 122 passer rating season.
  11. Correct. So you are suggesting Watson took bad sacks or made poor throws in those one score games that lowered his QBR? That would seem fair.
  12. Agreed. The overthrow from Allen to Diggs they keep showing it looked like the ball just gets swept away toward the sideline. Pretty sure the win played a hand in that one and likely a few others. The longer the ball was traveling through the air the more the wind was going to carry it.
  13. Agreed. I just don't get the outrage about QBR. Remove Watson and the top three in QBR are also the top three in passer rating this last year. And logically, it would make sense that a QB of a 4-12 team would not have as high a QBR as the other three despite having a 112 passer rating. To me that is strong evidence that QBR got it right. At least in the case of Rodgers, Mahomes and Allen vs. Watson.
  14. It goes both ways too. Go back and look at Allen's box score in the Titans game. His higher QBR in that game was more accurate to the eye ball test compared to the poor passer rating he had for the game. Obviously the pick off of Roberts hands had a lot to do with that.
  15. The top three QB's in QBR this year were Rodgers, Mahomes and Allen. Watson wasn't even in the top 6 or 7 in QBR I don't think. But he was well ahead of Allen in passer rating with like 112 rating I think? Both have their issues, but I don't think QBR is nearly as bad as a lot make it out to be. I definitely think it is better than just passer rating.
  16. So what is the alternative? Passer rating can be just as misleading. Bottom line is Allen was a top 3 QB in QBR this year and I think top 5 in passer rating too. If both metrics say the guy is top 5 then I'll take it.
  17. Don't know if this is in good taste. Does Taron Johnson have a charity? Seems a much better candidate for something like this.
  18. His "one trick" is still good enough to beat 80% of the teams in the league and secure a 10-6 ecord or better every year. Not bad. You could do a lot worse. But glad we have #17.
  19. Shouldn't be a problem Allen: 2018 Games 1-6 61.8 rating 2018 Games 7-12 72.6 rating 2019 Games 13-20 82.9 rating 2019 Games 21-27 88.8 rating 2020 Games 29-36 102.4 rating 2020 Games 40-46 111.6 rating 2021 ???
  20. Rams putting together a Josh Allen/Buffalo Bills like drive before the end of the first half. See if they finish it.
  21. Penalties the difference in this game so far. Mental errors costing the Rams on both offense and defense.
  22. Dude was never the same after his rib injury during preseason of his rookie year.
  23. Inflatable screens with 15-30mph winds. What could go wrong? How pissed would everyone be when they have to listen to the entire second half on radio because the screen is blown halfway to Rochester?
