  2. Would be cool if he could play for Bears and have a "big brother" on the team. https://arkansasrazorbacks.com/roster/jacob-bates/

  5. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/terry-mcdonough-wins-3-million-from-cardinals-in-arbitration I am very surprised by this. NFL executives are paid a lot of money but they are handcuffed as well..
  6. You are a genius in Marketing! Anyone notice @Einstein after Russ Brandon left Bills? Now we see where the ideas for UFL are coming from.
  7. Sent you message to get around issue. I and a number of people have used it.
  8. Very appropriate to this. They were not open about the PSLs and how seniority would be discarded with seat selection before they went for funding for they knew it could alter the decision and might have put restrictions by the agency renting to new stadium to them.
  9. Robin Williams suicide was a good example. He had Lewy body dementia and knew it would get worse and decided he did not want to go thru with it. Quality of life would suffer too much.
  10. Suicide for some is best solution when life backs you into corner with no way out but the government criminalizes it and part of it is financial (IRS has specific statures). Death penalty still exists for some crimes but it is a crime to decide to take your own life. I have had some friends who have taken their own life and in most cases I understood. One was in car accident from a hit and run which put her in bed for rest of her life with tubes supplying all nutrition since much of her digestive system was ruined. Driver was never penalized. She played online gaming for a while but discovered half a life is sometimes is no life and committed suicide. She had a number of in-game friends who were sad but owner/chief moderator of game told it was a bull story where her sister who was given her login/password tried to selling her items to donate to a charity which helped her. Suicide is not always sign of mental illness but mental clarity.
  11. "Fleeing Buffalo Politics Bills" would be better name. What a waste of taxpayer money.
  12. Reminds me of the Auction a Nurse for weekend pass to Tokyo on M*A*S*H - rigged. IF they are doing it I'd be surprised they do not auction it off to highest bidder.
  13. I have never watched a full college game and never went to games when I went to UB.
  14. Ex-Lions DB Cam Sutton turns himself in on strangulation charge https://www.clickondetroit.com/news/2024/04/01/ex-lions-db-cam-sutton-turns-himself-in-on-strangulation-charge/ Cam Sutton arrest update: Ex-Lions CB turns himself in on domestic battery, weeks after being on run https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/news-cam-sutton-arrest-update-ex-lions-cb-turns-domestic-battery-weeks-run Latest on Cam Sutton: Lions release CB over disturbing domestic battery allegations with NFL player on the run Lions will take a tremendous dead cap on him.
  15. Neilson numbers may be more important to keep broadcasters continuing to show games. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/ufl-attendance-gets-off-to-so-so-start UFL attendance gets off to so-so start (NBC is not broadcasting partner so do not expect soft treatment) UFL’s debut had so-so attendance, to no surprise. Via Mike Mitchell of SI.com, the opening game between the Birmingham Stallions and the Arlington Renegade attracted 14,153 fans. The second game, featuring the Michigan Panthers hosting the St. Louis Battlehawks, drew 9,444 to Ford Field. NFL analyst points out reasons for "so-so" attendance at UFL season opener https://www.sportskeeda.com/nfl/news-nfl-analyst-points-reasons-so-so-attendance-ufl-season-opener The official attendance figure for the UFL’s opening game at Choctaw Stadium between the @USFLStallions and @XFLRenegades is 14,153.
  16. Any official and unofficial attendance figures? I am expecting XFL to cite ticket sales but many may not be used as has happened in past in alternate leagues. Cameras by broadcasters appeared to avoid showing sections of stadiums with few fans but I only saw FOX since I do not pay for ESPN.
  17. I was amazed on number of older vets. I was expecting players who could not stick to regular roster trying to do what Kurt Warner did - use alternate leagues to increase his skill set - but not players in 30s.
  18. Some of the shows at amusement parks we went to as kids. The one on Grand Island Fantasy Island (loved the mouse) and Crystal Beach.
  19. In college I was in literature class and research had indicated it was a composite of multiple people and he had frequent jabs at non-contributing wealthy.
  20. Make it about money like current NFL - let all players be able to be auctioned to highest bidder. Then players will be more accurate it at calling it a slave auction.
  21. Ebenezer Scrooge was based on real people at the time but he changed which was and is rare.
  22. Some of it MAY be opposition to VA governor support since he has been in constant conflict with large portion of Northern Virginia but not hear anything other than locals being very unhappy on impact on traffic. Every time a project developers proclaims metro will be handling excess traffic but it rarely does. Metro is always complaining about lack of funding and I used to agree with them until they decided to go electronic pass or you cannot use. It does no good for taxpayers required to have to have an electronic card to use bus and then say bus needs. People use buses for unexacted reasons like forgot wallet, wallet locked in car, car failure, etc. where in other case they could just bottom a few dollar bills and get home or where they need to go and return later. They also invalidated paper stored value cards and if you did not convert them into electronic cards money irretrievable - meaning they got free money.
  23. Ebenezer Scrooge was a very rich man and way he did it was making sure he paid as little as possible. He also did it after Hartford backed out and his partners did as well. He recovered the money in costs of suites which is a lot easier to sell in Boston.
