  1. It is a good question. He has a knack for making big plays, but how good is he overall? Need someone who looks at the all-22 to answer. Interestingly, I was saying to myself at the end of the game, " Rambo needs to make a play." He def has that rep, but it would be great to have someone provide an overall assessment of his game.
  2. Two away games. In today's nfl, for the majority of teams, it's "any given sunday." The Bills have two tough road games. Anyone who thinks they are given wins is dreaming...
  3. Thanks, I'll give it a try...or maybe I should try the less trendy places of East Aurora...
  4. the conundrum that is buffalo's economy: the most cranes, yet its tallest building was sold at auction in October... The most important indicator from my perspective, it's getting increasingly difficult to get a reservation at some my favorite restaurants.
  5. It must be working a little... http://www.bizjournals.com/buffalo/news/2015/12/04/buffalo-yes-buffalo-now-ranks-as-the-hottest.html Though I'm sure someone will find the dark cloud in this silver lining.
  6. Not really. Maybe when he does a re-grade (as he often does) he'll have to admit it. This is not an admission. This is simply grading rookies at this point in time--how they actually have done in the NFL--with no mention of what he thought about them when drafted and graded. He also panned the Karlos Williams pick, though to be fair, he states his original grades are based on: He gave them a favorable rating for Miller--meeting a need and good value at the position drafted.
  7. It just goes to show how stupid immediate post-draft grades are. Kiper gives Bills the worst post-draft grade, then grades their first draft pick the best of all rookies....
  8. I was wondering the same thing. Really, I'm wondering if he left out some punctuation? Is he asking why we watch as in the reason, or is he asking if we literally watch? That is, should there be a comma after why? Am reading too much into this?
  9. He doesn't know anything. He gave the Bills the lowest draft grade for 2015, calling Darby a reach.
  10. hmmm....seems to me that a lot of ryan supporters give him a pass on his Jets D after he lost His star CBs. How is that different? Doesn't he also need "stars to excel"?
  11. I'm probably biased on this, but this is Ryan's second go-round, and he's not showing me that he's headed in the right direction on the "smart scale." Schwartz is an intelligent man, and I would wager that he will be more successful in his second go than Ryan. Regarding your other post, about ownership needing to step in. They don't need to be babysitters for a head coach. Ryan is showing that he hasn't learned from this past mistakes. At best he's a D coordinator. He is not HC material.
  12. I think Schwartz is better head coaching material than Ryan. First and foremost, Schwartz is intelligent and a good football mind. When he was hired by the Bills I posted a thread about the parallels between Schwartz and Belichick (here). Last summer I started a post about the hype of Ryan's D vs the results Schwartz got (here). It appears Ryan's D will not eclipse Schwartz on the most important stat, ppg. My point: Pegulas, admit Ryan was mistake. Get Schwartz back here before someone else picks him up. Ryan may be a good D coordinator, but as a head coach, he just doesn't have IT, and I believe the Schwartz does.
  13. how is it a one-trick pony? Are you saying he would not have been as successful this year? On a related note, I really hoped that they would hire Schwartz after Maroon left....pine.....
  14. Whaley "invested" in the O during the off-season, and the D had lost only one starter, Searcy. On last year's 9-7 team, the O averaged 21 ppg and the D 18. This year, the O is averaging 24, while the D is averaging just over 23, 5 more per game. What did Whaley do to cause that change in the D's ppg?
  15. Given the issues with the Williams brothers, I think Manny Lawson's role becomes more important and impactful.
  16. The military-industrial complex understands Keynesian principles better than most....
  17. boy, are you wacked. Lightfoot was the terrorist who sunk the Edmund Fitzgerald.....
  18. what about "get on board the peace train" cat Stevens?
  19. As much blustering as Rex does over the pats, it was kind of funny.
  20. sure, any given Sunday. I don't see them losing at home to SD, clev, and oak; their away games are oak and flacco-less Balt. I can't see them losing more than 1, which means the bills have to bet them, because they can easily lose 2 of their remaining 5.
  21. he's done this a couple times. It reminds me of something that I saw in the ESPN episode on him going into his draft. The coach who was prepping him yelled at him several times for "aiming" the ball or trying to be too careful, rather than just throwing it and trusting his mechanics. When he has someone wide open he tends to do this--be conservative, aiming the ball, rather than throwing it and leading his receiver like we've seen him do often for some great throws. Just fling it Tyrod!
  22. That's my point. The Chiefs look like they can coast in with the exception of playing the Bills. Given a tough sledding of road games, a win tonight would make that 5-2 a hellofa lot easier...
  23. thanks for posting that. Not much hope for those in Raqqa who oppose Isis; they will be leveled when the bombs really start dropping...
