There goes the “Coleman was their pick all along” take lol
If all along means after Thomas went, yes. 😎

I don’t have the exact quote but Beane basically said once he saw the last guy going his last tier he wanted Coleman in the next tier.
Can probably say that was Thomas he was referring to
It was. I had someone confirm what most thought anyway, he would've moved up a few spots to get him had he slipped past Jax.

We need an equivalent to this thread:
"Random WR question I think is important enough for its own thread" thread. Or simply a generalized thread on threads with questions, the title of which would be "The Betteridge Law Thread".

23 games, 42 recs, 620 yards, 3 tds. The definition of a JAG.
Your stats have no context. Almost all of those are from his rookie year 2020; 13 games, 20 recs, 381 yards, and the 3 TDs. He last played in 2022, 7 games, 7 receptions, for 165 yds. We'll never know what could've been for him due to those injuries, but the Bills are taking a flyer, and if it pays off, he can fill the McKenzie role, only Hamler is good.

I gave it a B.
It wasn't a "sexy" draft, but it was the type of draft that teams need in order to fortify the roster in places of weakness.
If Coleman turns out better than what most expect, and if one of the later picks makes a solid contribution down the line, then I'll put in a "change of grade form" and adjust to an A. If Coleman is meh, then a C.

Coleman, Shakir, Samuel is about as deep as this WR corps goes. And that's assuming Coleman winds up being a good pro. Hollins a replacement level guy. Shorter has shown nothing on offense in this league.
Yes, we can HOPE that Shorter or Hamler or Shavers develop into viable players, but hope is not a strategy.
So that's three guys. That's a three-deep WR corps. That is....not very encouraging. One nit to pick. Hamler is not a "hope he develops" guy. His issue is staying healthy. 4.3 speed, with big play capability. He had significant playing time in his first year with the Broncos, then injury issues after that.

RB window age 25-30, then done for most
Exactly, and who was the last Bills' RB to get a second contract?

The Eagles took a WR, and his name was not Rice. Beane's an idiot.

Beane owns the 5th.

Ha! Fins picked Chop. I often take teams further back in the draft, so the odds of me picking the same as the actual pick is near zero.
I might be able to do it again if we do this another 100 years.

Bills are picking 32nd, and I can't believe I missed the parade!

I think they could honestly go DT, C, or DB at 28, then trade up a little to get one of those WR's they like. I'm not saying I'm a fan of it, but it seems like they are prepared for it.
I'm sure they'd grab Murphy at 28 if he was there. No meeting with Newton, so Murphy may be the only DT with a R1 grade.
Playing with the draft simulators, I almost always go WR, DT with the picks, but they'd reverse that if Murphy was there.

With the 10th pick in the 2024 TSW 3.0 NFL draft, the New Jersey Jets select Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia.
A pretty straightforward selection for the Jets. They want to load up for a playoff run with Rogers while he's still capable.
@H2o and the Vikings are on the clock.

That completely alters my draft strategy for TSW Mock 3.0.

You just made some posters very angry. I have a feeling he was going to win the poll for the next Bills pick.
That would be the primary job of Miami's GM.

With the 55th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Miami Dauphins select T'Vondre Sweat, DT, Texas.
Miami is happy to see Sweat fall down the board. We believe the family oriented environment in the city of Miami will be a healthy one for Sweat, and we're confident he will toe the line...
@LEBills and the Cowgirls are on the clock.

😁After pointing out someone else did that, it comes back to bite me. And I was so excited....It's that dam trade info!
Back to the drawing board...
Ps. I updated the original post. @BigdaddyinOrlando is up

With the 21st pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Miami Dolphins select Chop Robinson, Edge, Penn State.
In the last 4 picks, the top 2 DTs were taken along with 2 of their OL targets. Given Jaelen Phillips is recovering from an achilles injury, and his backup is recovering from knee surgery, the Phins opt to fortify the position.
@BigdaddyinOrlando and the N'awlins Aints are on the clock.

With the 15th pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Jared Verse, DE, FSU…go NOLES!
The Colts went into the draft with a huge need at Corner and would’ve selected Quinyon Mitchell if available. However, the board didn’t fall in favor of that to take place. That being said, Verse is far and away the best player available on our draft board. We also considered Latu, but had injury concerns, and Nate Wiggins, who is a bit undersized (light in the pants). Verse was the cleanest prospect left. With all the new young guns in the division, what better way to counter, than to bolster the pass rush.Taken at 11.

Yep I can do that. I updated and redid the google sheet. The rankings are a bit different and I pared another column off the sheet.
They now include consensus of 9 people and in case anyone is interested of who they are:
Matt Donnelly Dynasty Vipers
Andrew Erickson FantasyPros
Aaron Schill FF Faceoff
Steven Pintado The Fantasy Coaches
Mason Riney RPO Football
Charlie Campbell Walter Football
Eric Edholm NFL.com
Daniel Jeremiah NFL.com
Tankathon.com (group effort)
link should be the same but just in case: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kKiIOcYaq1A0SI-iV5sNBub4GWz-FyrSHSHMSKqV_SQ/edit#gid=0
The new rankings reminded me of a comment I wanted to make about Mock1, I was surprised RB Jaylen Wright wasn't picked. Someone will covet that speed at the position. I was considering him at 68 for the Pats because of the run on WRs.
Ps. Not that I put much stock in his Mocks, but Reuter has a new 5-round mock out and he as the Bills taking my guy Tez Walker at 60.

@BillfromNYC Interested?
Ok, give me Miami then. Might as well take another hated AFCE team.

2024 Draft Embedded--Has Dropped.

Another little interesting (confirmational) comment, on their draft board they write names in Buffalo Bills Blue for players who have that so-called Bills DNA, the leadership and moral values. There were around 25 on this board; and about half of their picks were Blue names (I'd guess the first 3 picks were part of this group).
